In the short story Ich bin Sylta, she reveals the startling synchronicity of experiencing fiction during the creative process.

Laut, eng und hartem Verkehr ausgesetzt, hat sich gleichzeitig rund um die Sternbrücke ein kulturelles Biotop entwickelt - sehr geliebt, manchmal umstritten und höchst lebendig. Seit den späten 1990er Jahren fanden vor allem in den Kasematten unterhalb der Brücke Clubs, Bars und Kioske ihre Räume. Zu Beginn nur als Zwischennutzung gedacht, blieben sie viele Jahre: Waagenbau, Fundbureau, Astra Stube, Brückenkiosk, Beat Boutique, Bar 227 und das Künstlerhaus Faktor.Der Hamburger Fotograf Stephan Pflug hat diese Welt ab 2018 bis 2023 fotografiert, wohl in dem Wissen, dass er etwas dokumentiert, das es bald nicht mehr geben würde. Auf zurückgenommene und unprätentiöse Weise zeigen seine Aufnahmen die Akteur*innen und den Alltag unter der Brücke in diesen Jahren. Begleitet werden die Bilder durch Texte von Kristina Sassenscheidt und Axel Bühler, die über die denkmalgeschützte Brücke und den Protest der Anwohner*innen gegen deren geplanten Abriss schreiben.

Je mehr wir unsere eigene Klassengeschichte befragten, desto mehr Freund:innen fielen uns ein, bei denen es ähnlich war. Wir entwickelten einen Fragebogen und fingen an, Interviews zu führen. Viele der Befragten erzählen von Migrationsgeschichten, sind queer und fast alle sind oder waren im Kunst- und Kulturbereich tätig. Alle sind oder waren einmal Töchter. In diesen Gesprächen werden Klasse mit Geschlecht, queerness, Arbeit, Migration, Widerstand und Sorge verschränkt. Das Buch behauptet eine andere Wirklichkeit, in der das Sprechen über Klasse nicht von Scham und Isolierung getragen wird, sondern Verbindungen schafft.

Das Buch "Fotos für die Pressefreiheit 2024" dokumentiert die Ereignisse des vergangenen Jahres - vor allem in Staaten, in denen unabhängige Medien unter Druck stehen. Es wirft Schlaglichter auf die Brennpunkte des Nachrichtengeschehens und verbindet die Bilder international renommierter Fotografen mit Texten erfahrener Auslandskorrespondenten. Fotografen und Autoren haben ihre Werke für das Fotobuch zur Verfügung gestellt. Mit dem Verkauf der Bücher finanziert Reporter ohne Grenzen Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Anwaltskosten und medizinische Hilfe für verfolgte Journalistinnen und Journalisten. Die Publikation ist im Rahmen des Deutschen Fotobuchpreises von einer Fachjury mit dem Prädikat "Shortlist 2019, "Longlist 2019", "Nominiert 2016" und "Nominiert 2015" sowie 2010 mit dem kress Award für den besten Relaunch ausgezeichnet worden.
