Unwritten Literature of Hawaii: The Sacred Songs of the Hula (1909) is a collection of hulas and essays by Nathaniel B. Emerson. Translating previously unwritten songs, interviewing native Hawaiians, and consulting the works of indigenous historians, Emerson provides an entertaining and authoritative look at one of Hawaii's most cherished traditions. "For an account of the first hula we may look to the story of Pele. On one occasion that goddess begged her sisters to dance and sing before her, but they all excused themselves, saying they did not know the art. From daughter of musical visionary Frank Zappa, Moon Unit Zappa, comes a memoir of growing up in her unconventional household in 1970s Los Angeles, coming of age as part of the MTV generation in the 1980s as the "Valley Girl," and finding herself after losing her father, then her mother, and the fracturing of her longest relationships. The Malay Nobat: A History of Power, Acculturation, and Sovereignty explores the history and meaning of the nobat, a court ensemble that has performed music for courts in Malaysia and Brunei with roots in the Islamicate world since Abbassid times. Raja Iskandar Bin Raja Halid examines the nobat spread throughout the Muslim empire and its emergence as a symbol of power and sovereignty. The author argues that the nobat was an important symbol of Muslim power and analyzes the effect of the nobat's appropriation by colonial powers and of its induction as part of an invented tradition in the process of nation-building a modern Malay state. The author ultimately shows how existing nobat ensembles are the last living musical legacy of the Muslim world.

This book is an oral history of the punk scene in Belfast from the mid-1970s to the mid-80s. It explores what it was like to be a punk in a city shaped by the violence of the Troubles, and how this differed from being a punk elsewhere. It also asks what it means to have been a punk - how punk unravels as a thread throughout the lives of the people interviewed, and what that unravelling means in the context of post-peace-process Northern Ireland. In doing so, it suggests a critical understanding of sectarianism, subjectivity and memory politics in the North, and argues for the importance of placing punk within the segregated structures of everyday life described by the interviewees. Belfast punk and the Troubles is an intervention in Northern Irish historiography stressing the importance of history from below, and will be compelling reading for historians of Ireland and of punk, as well as those interested in innovative approaches to oral history.

Las infecciones del tracto urinario (ITU) son las enfermedades infecciosas más suaves que pueden causar infecciones peligrosas. En la estructura de la patología extragenital en la prematuridad también se presentan en el segundo lugar después de las enfermedades del sistema cardiovascular. El problema de las ITU se debe a las peculiaridades de la evolución clínica, el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de las infecciones del tracto urinario durante el embarazo. La bacteriuria asintomática (IBU), que es una forma preclínica de ITU y se caracteriza por un curso recurrente, una baja proporción de autocuración, una alta elección de complicaciones para la madre y el feto.

La salud de las mujeres determina en gran medida la actitud del Estado hacia la atención sanitaria, especialmente hacia los servicios de salud maternoinfantil. La calidad de vida de cualquier mujer está determinada en gran medida por el estado de su sistema reproductivo, que en todo el mundo exige el cumplimiento de algunas de las causas de morbilidad femenina. Se sabe que las neoplasias de los órganos del sistema reproductivo de las mujeres se relacionan tanto con el nivel general de su morbilidad como con la mortalidad por neoplasias malignas. Mientras tanto, en la última década se ha observado un aumento en la frecuencia de neoplasias del sistema reproductivo, entre las cuales más de dos tercios se observan tumores benignos y formaciones similares a tumores. La transformación de enfermedades precancerosas en cáncer se puede lograr mediante una organización en gran escala del trabajo para promover un estilo de vida saludable entre las mujeres de todas las edades (prevención primaria) y un tratamiento administrado en una etapa gradual como resultado de exámenes periódicos y sistemáticos.

Die Gesundheit von Frauen bestimmt weitgehend die Einstellung des Staates zur Gesundheitsversorgung, insbesondere zu den Gesundheitsdiensten für Mutter und Kind. Die Lebensqualität einer Frau wird weitgehend vom Zustand ihres Fortpflanzungssystems bestimmt, was weltweit die Einhaltung einiger Ursachen weiblicher Morbidität erfordert. Es ist bekannt, dass Neubildungen der Organe des Fortpflanzungssystems von Frauen sowohl mit dem allgemeinen Grad ihrer Morbidität als auch mit der Mortalität aufgrund bösartiger Neubildungen zusammenhängen. Mittlerweile ist im letzten Jahrzehnt eine Zunahme der Häufigkeit von Neoplasien des Fortpflanzungssystems zu beobachten, wobei bei mehr als zwei Dritteln gutartige Tumoren und tumorähnliche Formationen beobachtet werden. Die Umwandlung präkanzeröser Erkrankungen in Krebs kann durch eine groß angelegte Organisation von Maßnahmen zur Förderung eines gesunden Lebensstils bei Frauen jeden Alters (Primärprävention) und eine schrittweise Behandlung durch regelmäßige und systematische Vorsorgeuntersuchungen erreicht werden.

Harnwegsinfektionen (UTIs) sind die sanftesten Infektionskrankheiten, die gefährliche Infektionen verursachen können. In der Struktur der extragenitalen Pathologie bei Frühgeborenen stehen sie auch an zweiter Stelle nach den Erkrankungen des Herz-Kreislauf-Systems. Das Problem der Harnwegsinfektionen ergibt sich aus den Besonderheiten des klinischen Verlaufs, der Diagnose und der Behandlung von Harnwegsinfektionen während der Schwangerschaft. Die asymptomatische Bakteriurie (IBU) ist eine präklinische Form der Harnwegsinfektion und zeichnet sich durch einen rezidivierenden Verlauf, eine geringe Selbstheilungsrate und ein hohes Risiko von Komplikationen für Mutter und Fötus aus.
