Das Hauptziel dieses Buches war es, die Geschichte von Vanderlei José Maria, einem der Gründer der Vereinten Schwarzen Bewegung (MNU) in São Paulo, aufzuarbeiten. Indem wir sein persönliches und aktives Leben nachzeichneten, versuchten wir zu verstehen, wie er über die Situation der Schwarzen in Brasilien dachte. Zunächst führten wir eine bibliografische Untersuchung durch, um zu verstehen, wie sich die ersten Momente des Kampfes der Schwarzen im Lande von der Abschaffung der Sklaverei bis zur heutigen Zeit abgespielt haben. Als theoretischen Rahmen haben wir den kulturhistorischen Ansatz von Vygotsky gewählt, der es uns ermöglicht, den Menschen in seiner Gesamtheit zu studieren und ihn als biologisches und soziales Wesen zu betrachten. Zu diesem Zweck haben wir halbstrukturierte Interviews geführt, um den Befragten das Gefühl zu geben, dass sie nicht nur Objekte sind, sondern dass sie sich als Teil der Forschung fühlen können, da sie Vanderlei nahe stehen. Am Ende der Recherche wurde uns klar, dass Vanderleis Geschichte und die vieler anderer Aktivisten eng miteinander verwoben sind und dass sie auch heute noch die Denkweise der schwarzen Bewegung widerspiegeln.

This work presents research that reveals the itineraries of music teaching in three scenarios in the Blumenau Municipal Education Network: the Art subject; the School Bands and Fanfares Program; and the Early Childhood Education Musicalization Project. From these scenarios, the origins and trajectories of music teaching in the network are identified, permeated by school culture. As well as musical pedagogical practices, teaching conceptions, among other aspects that have marked this historical journey.

The main purpose of this book was to recover the story of one of the founders of the Unified Black Movement (MNU) in São Paulo, Vanderlei José Maria. By tracing his personal and activist life, we sought to understand how he thought about the situation of black people in Brazil. Firstly, we carried out a bibliographical survey to understand how the first moments of the struggle of black people in the country took place, from the abolition of slavery to the current period. We adopted Vygotsky's cultural-historical approach as our theoretical framework, which allows us to study man as a whole, seeing him as a biological and social being. To do this, we used semi-structured interviews, with the intention of allowing the interviewees to feel that they were not just objects, but that they could feel part of the research, since they were close to Vanderlei. At the end of the research, we realised that Vanderlei's story and those of many other activists are closely intertwined and that they still reflect the way the black movement thinks today.

In 1931, the English designer Gerald Summers and his partner Marjorie Butcher opened their business, Makers of Simple Furniture, in London. Until 1940, the company produced hundreds of ingenious plywood designs that helped define the idea of the modern interior in Great Britain. Based on Marjorie Butcher's vivid recollections and a wealth of unpublished material-including photographs, personal correspondence, designs and workshop documents-the book traces the groundbreaking achievements of the furniture company best known for the iconic Bent Plywood Armchair .  The publication was supported in part by the Graham Foundationfor Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts. GERALD SUMMERS (1899-1967) is one of the foremost furniture designers of the twentieth century. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, he worked as an engineer before starting his design career. In 1931, he and his partner, MARJORIE BUTCHER (1909-1996), opened Makers of Simple Furniture in London. They managed the firm for almost ten years, producing hundreds of pieces for the modern home. In 1940, wartime exigencies brought an end to the enterprise. They redirected their energy to Gerald Summers Ltd., a supplier of engineering parts. MARTHA DEESE is an authority on Gerald Summers. She earned a master's degree in decorative art history from Cooper-Hewitt Museum/Parsons School of Design, New York, and worked for three decades as an administrator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Her groundbreaking article on Summers and his firm, Makers of Simple Furniture, published in the Journal of Design History in 1992, remains the principal source on the designer.

L'obiettivo di questo studio è stato quello di analizzare la permanenza degli studenti entrati nel 2011/01 nel corso di laurea in contabilità del Campus di Cáceres dell'UNEMAT, da una prospettiva di ricerca quantitativa e qualitativa. In primo luogo, abbiamo analizzato la situazione storica degli studenti per tracciare il loro flusso accademico. A tal fine, abbiamo analizzato le trascrizioni di 41 studenti entrati nella classe oggetto di studio, rese disponibili dal Sistema Accademico. In secondo luogo, abbiamo applicato un questionario per analizzare le loro opinioni sulla permanenza. I risultati hanno mostrato che solo il 22% degli studenti è riuscito a completare il corso nel tempo minimo richiesto, il 22% è stato trattenuto, il 2% si è ritirato, il 10% si è trasferito e il 44% ha abbandonato. Le cause principali dell'evasione e della ritenzione sono legate a questioni socio-economiche, di apprendimento e pedagogiche. Dal profilo dei soggetti si evince che le politiche di ammissione vengono attuate in modo soddisfacente, tenendo conto di tutti i generi, colori e classi sociali. L'alto livello di evasione e di ritenzione dimostra la necessità di attuare politiche di permanenza degli studenti.

L'obiettivo di questa ricerca è identificare gli impatti generati dalla realizzazione di opere di micro e macro-drenaggio sul canale Mutum. Viste le trasformazioni che si sono verificate, dalle relazioni spaziali alla valorizzazione delle aree circostanti. Questa ricerca vuole dimostrare che tipo di trasformazioni e forme di appropriazione ha portato questa struttura. In questo modo, si intende misurare le trasformazioni avvenute nello spazio, i cambiamenti che si sono verificati a livello socio-spaziale e che tipo di speculazione è stata causata dallo sviluppo. A tal fine, saranno svolte tre azioni: in primo luogo, caratterizzare il profilo socio-economico e identificare le trasformazioni avvenute nel quartiere durante l'attuazione del progetto. In secondo luogo, verificare come si è svolto il processo di appropriazione del quartiere. Infine, analizzare gli impatti a breve e lungo termine causati dall'appropriazione di quest'area da parte delle autorità pubbliche.

The aim of this study was to analyse the permanence of students entering in 2011/01 on the undergraduate accounting course at UNEMAT's Cáceres Campus, from a quantitative and qualitative research perspective. Firstly, we analysed the historical situation of the students in order to trace their academic flow. To do this, we analysed the transcripts of 41 students entering the class under study, which were made available by the Academic System. Secondly, we applied a questionnaire to analyse their opinions on permanence. The results showed that only 22% of the students were able to complete the course in the minimum time required to complete it, 22% were held back, 2% withdrew, 10% transferred and 44% dropped out. The main causes of evasion and retention are related to socio-economic, learning and pedagogical issues. We can see from the profile of the subjects that the admission policies are being implemented satisfactorily, catering for all genders, colours and social classes. The high level of evasion and retention demonstrates the need to implement student permanence policies.

Le profil des sujets montre que les politiques d'admission sont mises en ¿uvre de manière satisfaisante et qu'elles prennent en compte tous les sexes, toutes les couleurs et toutes les classes sociales. Dadas las transformaciones que se han producido, desde las relaciones espaciales hasta la valorización de las áreas circundantes. Esta investigación pretende demostrar qué tipo de transformaciones y formas de apropiación ha provocado esta estructura. De este modo, se pretende medir las transformaciones que han tenido lugar en el espacio, los cambios que se han producido a nivel socioespacial y qué tipo de especulación ha provocado el desarrollo. En primer lugar, se analizó la situación histórica de los estudiantes para trazar su flujo académico. Para ello, analizamos las transcripciones de 41 estudiantes que ingresaron a la clase objeto de estudio, las cuales fueron puestas a disposición por el Sistema Académico. En segundo lugar, aplicamos un cuestionario para analizar sus opiniones sobre la permanencia. Los resultados mostraron que sólo 22% de los alumnos lograron terminar el curso en el tiempo mínimo requerido para concluirlo, 22% fueron retenidos, 2% se retiraron, 10% se transfirieron y 44% abandonaron. Las principales causas de evasión y retención están relacionadas con cuestiones socioeconómicas, de aprendizaje y pedagógicas. Del perfil de los sujetos se desprende que las políticas de admisión se están aplicando satisfactoriamente, atendiendo a todos los géneros, colores y clases sociales. El alto nivel de evasión y retención demuestra la necesidad de implementar políticas de permanencia estudiantil.

Nothing happens in Macclesfield, a small and peaceful English town, surrounded by rolling hills and fresh air, located in the county of Cheshire. It is October, the cold and dark streets contrast with the warmth of people in their homes by the fireplace with the smell of cookies filling in the air. You cannot see the hills that look down onto the town very clearly, which means it rains around here. It rains a lot.In a long street full of terraced houses, there is a blue house with no number, but with a yellow light that is always on and from where you can hear electrifying music (yes, because there is electrifying music!!). It is actually an old house, bleached by time and known to be haunted.Curious children run past the house. They try to get close to it, but they are too frightened and so they run away. They make up the most incredible stories about the strange house. There is no doubt it is scary. What could be in there anyway? A ghost? A witch? A monster?

Die Oficina Livre de Música (Freie Musikwerkstatt), deren Vorschlag aus einer Nachfrage von Mitarbeitern, Nutzern und Familienangehörigen des psychosozialen Betreuungszentrums Clarice Lispector (CAPS) im Viertel Engenho de Dentro in den nördlichen Vororten von Rio de Janeiro sowie von anderen Mitgliedern der Zivilgesellschaft hervorging, zielt darauf ab, als Volksbildungseinrichtung und -praxis zu fungieren, die neue Solidaritätsbeziehungen auslöst, aufrechterhält, verstärkt und vervielfältigt, und zwar durch Aktivitäten, Aktionen und Begegnungen, bei denen Klang das katalysierende Element ist, sei es durch Experimentieren und Wertschätzung; oder durch den Austausch und die Vielfalt von Erfahrungen, die aufgebaut und/oder ausgedrückt werden. Die Musik wird so zu einem Instrument der Akzeptanz und des Ausdrucks durch den Aufbau, den Austausch und das Teilen von Hörerlebnissen. Der Leiter des Workshops übernimmt die Rolle eines Kulturvermittlers als "Musikpädagoge" (...).
