Presents papers covering the history, religion and culture of the Armenian people, from the 10th anniversary conference of the Association Internationale des Etudes Armeniennes held at the school of Oriental and African Studies, London.

Based on the manuscript sources of the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Erevan), this study not only traces the origin and development of the Armenian system of notation called Khazs (Neumes), but also re-creates the tunes of the chants and songs composed over the centuries.
