Audience: This book should appeal to physicists and mathematicians working in areas involving functions of complex variables, associative rings and algebras, integral transforms, operational calculus, partial differential equations, and the mathematics of physics.

Recent results from high-energy scattering and theoretical developments of string theory require a change in our understanding of the basic structure of space-time. The various chapters address topics such as space-time fluctuation and random potential, non-local fields, and the origin of stochasticity.

However, the absence of rigorous meth ods of calculations of many particle nuclear systems with strong interaction makes it necessary to use macroscopic nuclear models to describe particular nuclear properties.

The articles included in this Volume represent a broad and highly qualified view on the present state of general relativity, quantum gravity, and their cosmological and astrophysical implications.

Over the course of the last century it has become clear that both elementary particle physics and relativity theories are based on the notion of symmetries. Given this pivotal role of symmetries it is thus not surprising that current research in fundamental physics is to a great degree motivated and inspired by considerations of symmetry.

What is more, the subject "elementary particles" as dealt with in the 3 6 dialogue stretches over (2-3) 10 years of historical time and a space of 10 +/-1 pages of scientific literature.
