This book elucidates what we mean by "natural" in general and works out an original concept of naturalness that can serve as a guide to understand the real limits of our manipulations in times where our powers to rearrange nature reaches new levels continually. Arguing that naturalness can be understood in light of a dispositional ontology, the book shows that it is possible for someone to maintain that there is a right and a wrong way to manipulate nature.
