Armut ist ein universales gesellschaftliches Problem. Die Armenfrage wird in diesem Band anhand sehr verschiedenartiger und zugleich eindringlicher Quellen auf den Ebenen von Religion, Recht, Wirtschaft, Sozialstruktur, obrigkeitlichem Verwaltungshandeln und ausgeprägter sozialpsychologischer Mentalitäten untersucht. Dies geschieht ferner in Verbindung mit vorgegebenen Lehren einer allgemeinen Ethik, der Moraltheologie und eines christlich geprägten Humanismus sowie mit Normen des kanonischen und römischen Rechts. An der Wende vom Spätmittelalter zur frühen Neuzeit mündet die herkömmliche individuelle und kirchliche Caritas in einigen deutschen und flandrischen Städten in einem epochalen Wandel angesichts der hohen Anzahl an Armen und Bettlern, der Ordnungsprobleme des Bettlerwesens, schließlich als unabweisbare Konsequenz von Bettelverboten insbesondere im Gefolge reformatorischer Strömungen in eine kommunal organisierte Armenfürsorge mit zukunftsweisenden Elementen einer modernenSozialfürsorge.

In this collection, we bring together various disciplines that are critically engaged in reflecting the diverse aspects of digitization in business, politics, ethics, and education. Accordingly, the volume will provide a provocative discourse space, were the key theoretical and practical problems of implementing ethics in digitization will be discussed and assessed. Moreover, we aim to create a bridge between two (hitherto) mostly separate discourses: the ethical discourse of issues of digitization and the discourse on ethical standards and their implementation in the area of business. These discourses are greatly in need of being joined together, since the vast majority of ethical standards in the field of digitization will have to be implemented by companies, not government agencies, NGOs or other non-profit organisations. We believe that this particular selection of articles is a first step towards creating this bridge.

Diese qualitative Studie untersucht detailliert den Nutzen von Corporate Responsibility Innovationen, insbesondere hinsichtlich gesellschaftlicher Wirkungsbereiche, und zeigt eine fehlende Beteiligung bestimmter Stakeholdergruppen an den Entstehungsprozessen. Aus ordnungsethischer Sicht wird die zentrale Bedeutung der institutionellen Rahmenordnung im Gesundheitssystem belegt. Die Ergebnisse erweitern den Forschungsstand zu den Themen Stakeholdertheorie und Creating Shared Value und leisten einen Beitrag zur Diskussion gesundheitsökonomischer Fragestellungen wie der Allokation von Ressourcen sowie Wettbewerb im Gesundheitswesen.

The theme arises from the legal-academic movement "Law and Literature". This newly developed field should aim at two major goals, first, to investigate the meaning of law in a social context by questioning how the characters appearing in literary works understand and behave themselves to the law (law in literature), and second, to find out a theoretical solution of the methodological question whether and to what extent the legal text can be interpreted objectively in comparison with the question how literary works should be interpreted (law as literature). The subject of justice and injustice has been covered not only in treatises of law and philosophy, but also in many works of literature: On the one hand, poets and writers have been outraged at the social conditions of their time. On the other hand, some of them have also contributed fundamental reflections on the idea of justice itself.
