Estos recursos pueden aplicarse directamente a la aplicación, por ejemplo utilizando Ajax, o también pueden aplicarse a la arquitectura de los servidores que harán que la aplicación esté disponible, utilizando los conceptos de escalabilidad vertical, clusterización y escalabilidad horizontal. También se muestran técnicas para aumentar el rendimiento de las aplicaciones web.

El objetivo de este trabajo es desarrollar un sistema de supervisión remota que establezca comunicación entre la unidad electrónica de control de un grupo electrógeno y un programa de supervisión SCADA. El sistema de supervisión fue desarrollado para este proyecto en lenguaje PHP, ejecutándose remotamente en una máquina servidor. En el servidor también se ha implementado un maestro Modbus TCP/IP desarrollado en lenguaje Java. La información se almacena en una base de datos SQL, poniendo los datos a disposición del sistema de supervisión. El hardware de recogida de datos del bus Modbus RTU se diseñó en una placa de circuito impreso, donde se disponen el microcontrolador y los circuitos, tanto los de alimentación como los utilizados para la comunicación entre el microcontrolador y el bus. Para enviar la información de los generadores se utilizan sockets con información en el protocolo Modbus TCP/IP, utilizando una red IEEE 802.11. El sistema desarrollado fue validado con pruebas en un generador de electricidad, que se presenta en este trabajo. Los resultados obtenidos en las pruebas mostraron que el sistema es capaz de realizar las operaciones para las que fue diseñado.

Este trabajo presenta una propuesta de monitorización y previsión del nivel del río Amazonas en la ciudad de Santarém, utilizando un enfoque ANFIS y datos históricos del ciclo fluviométrico anual. Los datos fueron recolectados en las ciudades de Santarém, Manaus e Itaituba, y fueron filtrados al período de 01/03/03 a 28/02/17. Los datos fueron analizados con el objetivo de establecer valores umbrales de alerta de situaciones emergentes para el monitoreo del nivel del río, comprendiendo los momentos de los volúmenes de agua: sequía, sequía-normal, normal, normal-lleno e inundación. Las series históricas pueden considerarse fiables, ya que es posible identificar claramente los ciclos hidrológicos anuales de los ríos. Las soluciones predictivas que utilizan técnicas estadísticas y computacionales son capaces de automatizar dichas previsiones con tasas relativamente bajas de error en el nivel de los ríos. Teniendo esto en cuenta, se considera que la solución propuesta puede utilizarse para orientar acciones que minimicen las perturbaciones causadas a la ciudad de Santarém en situaciones extremas de los volúmenes de agua del río Amazonas. El enfoque propuesto también se ha mostrado aplicable en otros entornos con ciclos hidrológicos y, por lo tanto, con posible aplicabilidad global.
