This project was motivated by the upcoming fiftieth anniversary of the IFIP Human Choice and Computers (HCC) conference, the event that led to IFIP¿s Technical Committee 9 (TC 9). Although IFIP committees are mainly technical, TC 9 is dedicated to research at the intersection of information and communication technology (ICT) with society. In addition to sponsoring HCC, TC 9 supports groups that have specific research interests. In consultation with their members, the leaders of each group offer chapters about their groups¿ history and goals. An additional chapter describes TC 9¿s formation, and an appendix details the national groups that work closely with TC 9. Overall, this volume is a useful guide to the historical development of research on ICT and society, providing readers with important reference works and relevant themes, and also points to likely new trends in these domains.

Mathematical biology could further expand the progress of modern life sciences. Although many biologists are interested in mathematical biology, they do not have experience in mathematics and computer science. An educational course that combines biology, mathematics, and computer science is very rare to date. Published books for mathematical biology usually explain the theories of established mathematical models, but they do not provide a practical explanation for how to solve the differential equations included in the models, or to establish such a model that fits with a phenomenon of interest. MATLAB is an ideal programming platform for the beginners of computer science. This book starts from the very basics about how to write a programming code for MATLAB (or Octave), explains how to solve ordinary and partial differential equations, and how to apply mathematical models to various biological phenomena such as diabetes, infectious diseases, and heartbeats. Il presente lavoro si concentra sulla costruzione di una tassonomia delle tecniche di difesa da SQL injection e sulla classificazione dei metodi attuali in base a tale tassonomia. È stata condotta una revisione sistematica della letteratura (SLR) utilizzando i cinque principali database elettronici: IEEE, ACM, Engineering Village (Inspec/Compendex), ISI web of science e Scopus. Sono state trovate 61 tecniche di difesa e, sulla base di queste, è stata costruita una tassonomia delle tecniche di difesa da SQL injection. La tassonomia consiste in varie dimensioni che possono essere raggruppate sotto due termini di ordine superiore: metodo di rilevamento e criteri di valutazione. La tassonomia fornisce una base per il confronto delle diverse tecniche di difesa. Le organizzazioni possono utilizzare la tassonomia per scegliere le difese più adatte a seconda delle risorse e degli ambienti disponibili. Inoltre, questa classificazione può portare a una serie di future direzioni di ricerca nel campo della prevenzione delle SQL injection.

In diesem Beitrag geht es darum, eine Taxonomie der Techniken zur Abwehr von SQL-Injections zu erstellen und die aktuellen Methoden entsprechend dieser Taxonomie zu klassifizieren. Es wurde eine systematische Literaturrecherche (SLR) unter Verwendung der fünf wichtigsten elektronischen Datenbanken durchgeführt: IEEE, ACM, Engineering Village (Inspec/Compendex), ISI web of science und Scopus. Es wurden 61 Abwehrtechniken gefunden, und auf der Grundlage dieser Techniken wurde eine Taxonomie der SQL-Injection-Abwehrtechniken erstellt.
