This book focuses on several specific features characterizing Chinäs economy in the Mao era (1952¿1976), and discusses whether and how they are related to the new economic strategy called ¿reforms and opening-up¿ under Deng Xiaoping¿s leadership with the result of the aftermath of well-known rapid growth. It provides the reader with basic knowledge of the continuity and discontinuity between the Mao and Deng eras. Readers are provided with some important clues for thinking about how Maoist China could have contributed to or alternatively prevented today¿s economic development. His research interests are focused on the geopolitics of the Gulf hydrocarbons, Russian foreign policy in the Middle East as well as Iran¿s economy and international relations. Karen E. Young is a Senior Fellow and Director of the Program on Economics and Energy at the Middle East Institute. She was a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), focused on the political economy of the Middle East and states of the Gulf Cooperation Council. She regularly teaches at the Foreign Service Institute at the US Department of State, and has taught at George Washington University and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Jalal Qanas is an assistant professor in the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University. During 2013-2017, he was Teaching Assistant in Economics for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students at the University of Leeds. He also taught a summer course in the Economics of Brexit at Oxford University. Before joining Qatar University, Jalal was a Visiting Lecturer at the University of West London. Qanas¿ research interests are mainly in macroeconomic policies, monetary economics, central banking and political economy of the Persian Gulf.

Le cure palliative in Angola sono ancora nelle prime fasi di sviluppo e ciò si riflette nella mancanza di preparazione degli infermieri nella loro formazione tecnica per intervenire nelle cure palliative.Lo scopo di questo studio è stato quello di valutare la percezione degli studenti di infermieristica riguardo all'inclusione delle cure palliative nei loro programmi di laurea, nonché di determinare l'importanza che attribuiscono a questa formazione e preparazione per l'assistenza ai pazienti in cure palliative.109 studenti di infermieristica (55,3% donne) dell'Instituto Superior de Ciências de Saúde e della Escola Superior Politécnica do Moxico hanno risposto a un questionario sull'atteggiamento nei confronti delle cure palliative. I risultati hanno rivelato che la maggior parte degli studenti non aveva avuto contatti con argomenti essenziali relativi alle cure palliative durante la loro formazione.Gli studenti hanno sottolineato l'importanza di includere le cure palliative nel curriculum obbligatorio del corso di infermieristica. Sulla base delle percezioni degli studenti angolani di infermieristica, concludiamo che la formazione in cure palliative durante il corso non è adeguata per sviluppare le competenze necessarie in questo ambito.

Die derzeitige globale Finanzkrise hat die Menschen auf die unsachgemäße Funktionsweise der westlichen konventionellen Banken aufmerksam gemacht und somit die Aufmerksamkeit vieler Menschen auf das islamische Bankensystem gelenkt. Die Angst vor Zinspraktiken und die Auferlegung aller Risiken auf den Kreditnehmer, die im islamischen Bankensystem nicht gelten, haben letzteres als die bessere Wahl für Investitionen oder Kredite erscheinen lassen.

Este estudio pone de relieve los factores determinantes de la inversión en Senegal. Los datos utilizados abarcan el periodo comprendido entre 1972 y 2004 y proceden de la base de datos de la Contabilidad Nacional de Senegal. Aplicamos un modelo teórico basado en el uso de herramientas de la metodología VAR como el VECM (causalidad en el sentido de Granger, funciones de respuesta al impulso, descomposición de la varianza prevista, etc.) para medir este aspecto de los determinantes de la inversión. Los resultados del modelo VECM ponen de relieve la preeminencia del Producto Interior Bruto (PIB) y del tipo de interés como variables determinantes del mantenimiento de la inversión. Die Palliativpflege befindet sich in Angola noch in einem frühen Entwicklungsstadium, was sich in der mangelnden Vorbereitung der Krankenschwestern und -pfleger in ihrer Fachausbildung auf die Palliativpflege widerspiegelt.Ziel dieser Studie war es, die Wahrnehmung von Krankenpflegeschülerinnen und -schülern in Bezug auf die Einbeziehung der Palliativpflege in ihre Studiengänge zu bewerten und festzustellen, welche Bedeutung sie dieser Ausbildung und Vorbereitung auf die Pflege von Patienten in der Palliativpflege beimessen.109 Krankenpflegeschüler (55,3 Prozent weiblich) des Instituto Superior de Ciências de Saúde und der Escola Superior Politécnica do Moxico beantworteten einen Fragebogen zur Einstellung zur Palliativpflege.
