Il presente documento confronta i costi totali del controllo del BOD5 in una sezione del bacino del fiume Bío Bío, nell'VIII Regione del Cile, tra politiche di controllo standard e un sistema di mercato: Controllo standard con un sistema di mercato. Secondo innumerevoli dimostrazioni teoriche e simulazioni sviluppate negli ultimi decenni, il sistema di mercato è economicamente vantaggioso. Tuttavia, quando viene richiesto e verificato il rispetto di obiettivi prestabiliti, costringendo il sistema di mercato a ridurre il numero di permessi per raggiungere l'obiettivo ambientale, il sistema di mercato perde la sua efficienza. Questa applicazione mostra che, a certi livelli di domanda ambientale, un sistema di permessi di scarico trasferibili non è più efficace dal punto di vista dei costi a causa, tra l'altro, delle restrizioni imposte dagli stessi sistemi idrici, della localizzazione delle fonti più inquinanti con i più alti costi marginali di abbattimento nell'area studiata e della capacità di assimilazione dei corpi idrici riceventi.

This book explores the causes of rising income inequality within industrialised, developing, and emerging economies. The book provides an overview of the Slow Onset Disasters (SLOD) in the urban built environment discussing potential strategies to assess and mitigate multiple climate change related risks. Climate change evidence has been reported in the last decades, suggesting that the anthropogenic activities are accelerating these changes towards a warmer and more polluted environment. In this context, SLODs have been linked to climate change related disasters and have been stated to have a higher impact risk within dense built environment (BE). Therefore, the book presents a description of the most relevant SLODs, their significance, and confluence, the way in which scientists and entities are monitoring their progression at different scales, a structured risk assessment strategy and the deconstruction of the BE characteristics that make it more prone to SLODs risk. In addition, it highlights the necessity of adapting the traditional risk assessment methods, to account for different vulnerabilitytypes, including the morphology and materiality of the BE, and the BE users¿ characteristics. In fact, individual features influence users¿ responses and tolerance to environmental stressors, because of age, health, gender, habits, and behaviour, thus impacting the users¿ vulnerability. Exposure can then amplify these issues, since it defines the number of users that can be effectively affected by the SLOD. Starting from this perspective, the book first traces literature-based correlations between individual features, use behaviour, and individual response to the SLOD-altered open spaces. Then, a novel methodology, to quantify the variations of users¿ vulnerability and exposure, is offered, to support designers in quickly defining input scenarios for risk assessment and mitigation. Lastly, it demonstrates, through a case study, the SLOD risk assessment framework proposed and the evaluation of the efficacy of risk mitigation strategies.

The Eucalyptus genus is increasingly being used in the wood manufacturing industry, particularly in higher value-added products such as furniture and flooring. However, this raw material requires slow drying, which implies an increase in the cost of the process, proportional to the length of time the wood remains in the dryer. Combining natural drying with conventional drying has been indicated as an alternative to reduce the duration of the artificial process; this hypothesis was evaluated in this study for 40 mm thick Eucalyptus grandis wood. The characteristic drying curve for the material and the basic program for conventional drying were determined in the laboratory. It was proved that conventional drying is slow and that the transition from air drying to artificial drying should be made when the moisture content of the wood is between 35% and 40%. Next, a 60 m³ load of wood was dried on an industrial scale, combining air drying with subsequent conventional drying.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the zootechnical performance, quality and fatty acid profile of eggs from commercial layers fed diets containing 2% of two lipid sources (linseed and soy) and a combination of the two. The experimental procedure involved 194 commercial layers aged 129 weeks, divided into 5 cycles of 28 days, during which data was collected for the study. The statistical design was entirely randomized, with 6 treatments, the experimental unit being represented by a plot with 8 birds and 4 repetitions per treatment. The treatments consisted of a control diet (no vegetable oil) and diets including 2% vegetable oil (2,800 kcal ME/kg and 18% CP), with linseed oil substituted for soybean oil at 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%, making up levels of 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0% linseed oil in the diet.

Ziel ist es, die Hauptschwierigkeiten und -herausforderungen zu analysieren, mit denen die Unternehmensführung konfrontiert ist, und wie die Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (IKT) den Einsatz von Strategien im Verwaltungsprozess beeinflussen. Die Hauptergebnisse zeigen, dass die durchgeführte Diagnose ergab, dass sich viele KMU-Manager trotz der Tatsache, dass sie sich der Vorteile des Einsatzes von technologischen Instrumenten in der Unternehmensführung bewusst sind, ihrer Umsetzung widersetzen. Abschließend lässt sich sagen, dass die Globalisierung derzeit ständige Veränderungen mit sich bringt und dass die KMU, um in einem wettbewerbsintensiven globalen Umfeld mithalten zu können, in das digitale Zeitalter eintreten und Informationstechnologien in ihren Verwaltungsprozessen einsetzen müssen.

Nichtbanken-Finanzunternehmen (NBFCs) sind ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des indischen Finanzsystems. Sie spielen eine wichtige Rolle beim Aufbau der Nation und bei der finanziellen Eingliederung, indem sie den Bankensektor bei der Kreditvergabe an die nicht von Banken abhängigen Teile der Gesellschaft ergänzen, insbesondere an die Kleinst-, Klein- und Mittelunternehmen (KKMU), die die Wiege des Unternehmertums und der Innovation bilden. Die Nicht-Banken-Finanzunternehmen (NBFC) haben eine große Erfolgsgeschichte geschrieben. Ihr Beitrag zur Wirtschaft ist von 8,4 % im Jahr 2006 auf über 14 % im März 2015 sprunghaft angestiegen. In Bezug auf das Finanzvermögen haben NBFCs ein gesundes Wachstum verzeichnet - eine durchschnittliche jährliche Wachstumsrate (CAGR) von 19 % in den letzten Jahren -, das 13 % des gesamten Kreditvolumens ausmacht und bis 2018-2019 voraussichtlich fast 18 % erreichen wird. Im Großen und Ganzen beschreibt und veranschaulicht dieses Buch vor allem die bevorstehenden zukünftigen Trends und die Leistung der großen NBFCs in Indien, indem es einige der wichtigsten Finanzindikatoren der großen NBFCs in Indien analysiert. Die Studie lässt den Schluss zu, dass die finanzielle Performance der großen NBFCs in Indien in Zukunft ein exorbitantes Wachstum erfahren wird.

The overall aim of this study is to build a model for assessing customer satisfaction in different diagnostic imaging clinics. In order to achieve the objectives, a questionnaire was applied with two surveys that enabled the relationships between the determinants of satisfaction to be identified and the most important quality attributes to be identified. This study was carried out in a diagnostic imaging clinic in Ponta Grossa - Paraná. The results obtained indicate a strong relationship between customer satisfaction, disconfirmation of expectations and perceived quality and it can be seen that Customer Service (29.5%) is considered the most important factor in terms of the importance of attributes, followed by Radiological Service (25.8%), Administrative Aspects (23.1%) and lastly Environment, furniture and equipment (21.6%). The main contribution of this work is the proposal of a model that can help radiology service managers to improve customer satisfaction, collaborating with the development and growth of the company.

Human papillomaviruses (HPV) are epitheliotropic viruses that infect cutaneous or mucous tissue and are related to the development of lesions which, in the genital tract, range from warts to invasive cervical cancer. It is known that women who are seropositive for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are more affected by HPV infection and are more prone to developing cervical cancer. Given this context, this study aimed to estimate the prevalence of HPV in HIV-positive women followed up at the STD/AIDS reference center in the municipality of Caxias (MA). This is a documentary, descriptive-exploratory and retrospective study with a quantitative approach. Data was collected using medical records and a pre-coded and pre-tested semi-structured form.

Herr GBIDI, der von Personalabbaumaßnahmen in einem Hotel betroffen war, verbrachte eine sehr schwierige Zeit ohne Arbeit, so dass er seiner Familie kein normales Leben mehr bieten konnte. In seiner Verzweiflung ging er zur Handelskammer, um sich beraten zu lassen und nach Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten zu suchen. Er wurde von Herrn YAKPEY Comlan Nomadoli empfangen, der für die Betreuung von Investoren und Unternehmensgründern zuständig war. Nachdem Herr YAKPEY sich seine Geschichte von der sehr wechselhaften Arbeitslosigkeit angehört hat, fragt er seinen Klienten: "Warum solltest du angesichts deiner reichen Erfahrung in diesem Bereich nicht dein eigenes Hotelunternehmen gründen?" Dank der gut gemeinten Ratschläge von Herrn YAKPEY konnte sein Klient Herr GBIDI sein eigenes Unternehmen gründen und zum Direktor eines Hotels mit dem Namen "HOTEL COURONNE D'OR" werden.

This research work was conducted under a descriptive and quantitative methodological approach and was applied to a simple random sample of 108 managers of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) located in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora, belonging to the commerce sector, with a labor force between 10 and 250 workers with a minimum seniority of five years in the market. The objective is to analyze the main difficulties and challenges faced by business management and how Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) influence the use of strategies in the administrative process. The main results show that the diagnosis carried out showed that, despite the fact that SME managers are aware of the benefits of using technological tools in business management, many of them show resistance to their implementation. As a final conclusion, globalization is currently generating constant transformations and, in order to remain in a highly competitive global environment, SMEs must enter the digital era and adopt information technologies within their administrative processes.

Mr GBIDI was hit by staff cuts at a hotel and went through a very difficult period without a job, to the point where he could no longer provide a normal life for his family. Distraught, he went to the Chamber of Commerce for advice and to look for job opportunities. He was met by Mr YAKPEY Comlan Nomadoli, who is in charge of supporting investors and business creators. La mondialisation a permis au monde de s'entendre sur le fait que l'exportation est vitale pour le bien-être économique des pays. La mondialisation a donc forcé les nations à participer aux activités d'exportation dans le monde, et l'Éthiopie a également été forcée d'exporter des produits vers la communauté mondiale. Les résultats permettent également de sensibiliser le secteur et de formuler des recommandations appropriées.

La principale contribution de ce travail est la proposition d'un modèle qui peut aider les gestionnaires de services radiologiques à améliorer la satisfaction des clients, en collaborant au développement et à la croissance de l'entreprise.
