This was a journey of mental illness, game playing, and deceit, turning into a journey of acceptance, insight, forgiveness, and eventual peace. Some good from a bad situation I am strong. I first started writing this book, I Am a Real Person, as therapy for myself. Although I've had help from various therapists and counsellors, there are some things that I have never been able to talk about or come to terms with, and writing this book has helped me. It tells of how and why I felt so worthless, even from a young age, and everything written is exactly how I remember it. From even before I was married, my life started to go downhill. At first, I believed it would pick up, but after years of abuse I came to the conclusion that it would never change, and I just wanted out. Until things went from bad to worse and something was said to me that made me realise I had to do something positive. I hope that my story will offer encouragement to anyone going through something similar. There is always a way out, however difficult it may seem.

The soot from the fires then travels into the ice in the Athabasca glacier which warms and melts. This is a feedback system that is destroying both the national park and glacier adversely. The system has reached a tipping point.

It was one of those days that stays with you for the rest of your life: 1 November, 2018, the day I found a small lump in my left breast. I'll never forget that moment. I was filled with dread, fear, and worry about what the future held. I had already seen several family members in the past few months be diagnosed with breast cancer, that dreaded disease. The next day, I was attending a dinner at St. George's Hall, Liverpool, an iconic ceremonial building known throughout the world and the first building visitors see as they exit Lime Street station.
