Sweet Memories are a collection of my writings during the past fifteen years after retirement while living in Virginia Beach and Bettendorf. In both places I joined a writer's club. The Bettendorf group leader Dr. Margie Schwaninger is an outstanding writer, motivator, and leader. When we took a break this summer, she challenged us to look at our old writings and to put them to good use. This book results from my "looking at my old writings." I wrote about a variety of subjects. Some were about our culture, customs, work, travel, members of the family and friends who influenced my life and made significant contributions to the world at large, some general topics such as security alarms, railways, Amish and Mennonite and so on. I also copied some articles of interest from my book "Memoirs of Pastor A.C. Samuel." I have referred to my husband as Daddy, John and at other times as Dr. Thomas in some of these articles. These topics cover life in India and the United States of America.

This book in an unvarnished, and sometimes raw account of the author's battle with beating cancer....told in a humorous vein, it is designed to offer some humor and encouragement to those who are suffering with this horrible disease.

As I looked around, I saw so many gifted Christians- spiritually and naturally - fall by the Way. Why?, because of past sin. Sin will make you ashamed to go on. To ruff or not to ruff. The question seems so easy. To draw trumps promptly or is there something else to do first? Declarer has so many options. The journey for this book started with our Great Grandkids. When Sadie came to us from the breeder, she was 9 weeks old and a bundle of energy. We raised puppy's before, but we were not the main characters in our puppy's lives. Our children were. Because of this technical age we live in, we started making cell phone videos about raising a puppy at our age. Before long, our great grandkids started wanting to see more videos and that started their interest in "Sadie". When we looked at those videos, we noticed Sadie was telling us her story about growing up a "Baker". We decided to put pen to paper and write down what she was telling us. The result is this book.

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR SENIORS TO AVOID A FALLFalls are the leading cause of injury, emergency room visits, and hospitalizations for seniors in North America. Tripping down can reduce independence and accelerate the need for long-term care. Systematically reading this book- as well as introducing and embracing the author's recommendations related to physical exercising into their lives- would most likely help seniors to avoid collapsing or plummeting to the floor. In the introduction and first chapter of this book, the writer analyzes important research contributions from Dr. Angela Duckworth, Dr. Katherine Milkman, as well as a fitness professional Amanda Sterczyk as far as physical exercising experiments are concerned. At the end of the day, the scientific groups could not get definite conclusions. This author is convinced that, one of the reasons why the experiments were not successful, was that the word tenacity was not even included or mentioned as a possible factor related to the results of the research. Chapter VIII is dedicated to the positive effect of walking dogs on avoiding falls in seniors.Chapter IX exemplifies the combination of tenacity and sense of purpose in preventing, steering clear of, or keeping away from falls confirmed by twenty examples of remarkably eminent persons, sixty-five % of which lived more than eighty years.

Obviously, this book finds its title from the slogan created by former president Donald Trump Make America Great Again. This book is intended to argue, that for America to be great, it must be Christian. This does not mean that other religions are not welcome as has never been the case in America, but rather as a country based upon biblical principles, there has always been true freedom of religion. This book is a portion of the "troubles" of an Artist having troubles being an artist. It's truthful tales not only written, but drawn by the very hands of the author.It presents a personal narration of my journey and provides a good way for my talent to be seen, and get me closer to my highest dreams.I had a early beginning showing my gifts to illustrate, but as my writing skills became awarded I've worked to bring it all together. Also, pay attention to the heartbreaking story at the core.I hopefully this book will get me established as duel story teller/illustrator, and bring "more than" troubles.
