The trauma that I have experienced from the age of 5 years old until my teen age has developed me into a damage little girl. Eventually, I became a unhealed woman. "I realize my hardest battles in life helped launch me forward to purpose. The abandonment, rejection, disappointments, shame, failure, betrayal, rape, and depression. God used to birth a powerful ministry inside of me.I remember in my childhood experiencing rejection and abandonment from family and friends who was suppose to love and embrace me. The painful slander and abuse that destroyed my confidence as a child.I was a teenager when I was violated. I felted like I wouldn't ever recover from the pain of sexual abuse and betrayal. I felt discarded and filthy and ashamed. I felt like I deserved what happen to me. I went into a deep depression that led me into suicidal thoughts and attempts.At the age of 18 I was broken and I felt worthless without hope. One Friday night service I receive the precious Holy Spirit with power. My life was different day on, I knew God had a purpose for me.God begin to heal me in areas of where I was broken in, some areas are in the process of being healed due to the unhealed symptoms. God also, provided me with the necessary strategies, resources, and place people in my life that was equip to help me on this journey. What God has placed in me had to be birth. I was carrying a promise inside of me that had to come fourth.My pain helped pushed me to the feet of Jesus. It was in my brokenness is where the oil flowed. Seeking God's Kingdom and his righteousness has allowed success and favor to overtake my life. I am a chosen vessel of God who discovered my divine purpose on earth. The things that tried to destroy me God has allowed me to triumph over it. It's working for my good. I am living testimony that you can come from anywhere and God can use you for glory. Birthing purpose out of pain is a love story of how God's love rescued me from a place of brokenness to restoration. My pain helped me to aligned to my divine purpose. I smile now because I realize now how much God loves me. Not even the lies of the enemy can convince me anything different.

This chapter book is an assortment of poems written by Milo. They were written at different stages in his life over the past decade. They each reflect his emotional state and thoughts at the time that they were written. As such, this chapter book contains a variety of poetry that transcends various different genres which will appease almost any type of reader. They are a window into his life, so to speak; snapshots of his life that he wants to share with people who are searching for meaning in their lives, or for those who are just looking for a good read.

A few words about the origin of this book and why it was written will help the reader to understand its teaching. This book is the outcome of a series of Bible studies I taught on prayer at Grace Baptist Church of Apopka, a church I pastored for nearly twelve years in Orlando, Florida. The idea came to me while putting into practice what I taught the congregation concerning prayer according to God's will. A great number of people go to church every week across America and around the world, but unfortunately, they never have a personal time with God in prayer. The only time they spend in prayer is when they gather with the congregation for corporate worship. Can you imagine a Christian who only prays to God once or twice a week? Prayers addressed with others practically means there is nothing personal about it. Don't get me wrong. I believe in corporate prayer, and I think it creates an atmosphere of worship and fellowship where many believers get together to pray. It is essential to the life of a church. The true church of God will not go without it. In addition, there are those who pray to God often and alone. They seek times of silence in their lives to be with God alone and pray. However, there is an important question that must be addressed if we want God to answer our prayers. Do we pray according to God's will? I believe deep in my heart that there is a great misinterpretation among Christians in regard to the subject of prayer, which leads to a lack of spiritual power in many followers of God. I think it's time for you to find out what might be the cause of that spiritual weakness.

I Heard you, Lord, says author Erline Dennis, who is an earnest and attentive listener to God's Word.The title poem, "I Heard You, Lord," bespeaks the author's profound faith in God. Hope emanates from the poem "The Cross," and "Why, Mama?" records a crisis in faith after the death of the author's mother. Soon, however, faith again runs deep in the verse "Outstretched Arms," in which the poet writes: "O Lord, I know / That You see by day and by night. / Not ever letting even one / Out of sight." Caskey and his candy canes friends are sad because they are different and not as decorative as the other Christmas candies they see on the shelves in the store. After they are purchased from the store by a Sunday School teacher, they learn their important purpose of exemplifying Jesus Christ. They learn the meaning of their unique shape and colored stripes. Caskey and his friends learn their special purpose and challenge us to tell others about Jesus' love and care for all mankind.

"Ali" is a poem about a child and his love for an alligator. Growing up on a farm, Rosette was fascinated by the intelligence and curiosity instilled in animals and even insects. "Ali" was inspired by a young boy who, while on Summer vacation, had petted a baby alligator. His excitement in retelling of his adventure was contagious.

We were each hauling about 60 pounds of gear to cache higher up on the mountain, and it was tough work. The devotionals for this book were written by the author during the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020 - 2023. During a time when churches and businesses were closed, the author began to search for ideas and methods to stay in touch with the members of the church that he pastored.Many were confused, worried and contemplating where to turn and what to do. He came up with the idea of devotionals, which were delivered to his parishioners by phone contact two days of each week from 2020 and even continue presently.Members of the congregation welcomed this form of communication when they could not gather in fellowship. Even now, some do not feel safe to gather in crowds and rely on these devotionals as a means of being spiritually fed.These devotionals reflect ways of coping with the times in which we live. We pray that they will bless and encourage each reader to know that God cares and He is an ever-present help in our lives.

I've wanted to write another book for quite some time now. My last work, Unlikely Allies: 8 Steps to Bridging Divides that Impact Leadership, was written and published in 2010. I love to write. I just don't make the time to do it as often as I should or desire. Sharing information, empowering, and inspiring people is what I truly love to do. Part of the challenge of why it's taken me so long to write another book is I didn't know what I was going to write about. Should it be about business, politics, inspiration, or motivation? Yes, there are other books with those topics brewing in my mind, but something out of the ordinary happened to me in 2021 and it's been in my heart to share it. When I first received the news, I was stunned. It absolutely took me by surprise, but oddly, I didn't get emotional about it. The follow-up letter, additional tests, and consistent information shared to me by the nurses and doctors prepared me for what was to come. They were kind and gentle with the news. Methodical, prepared, and knowledgeable about everything they expressed to me. You see, they've seen all of what I was to experience before. Probably hundreds of times with all the people they serve. But this was my first time...ever. And so, my story, my journey, will be told and is my next published work. As you read this book, you will note that I switch from first person to third person throughout. Parts of this work are direct comments from my journal on any given day. As we traverse the path of life have, we ever stopped to think about what it would be like if we became sick or disabled? I am sure that thought is never uppermost in our minds because after all who wants to get sick. We all want to be in good health and live life to its fullest. However, we must be aware that life is not always chocolate and roses, we sometimes must go through the dark valleys and the trenches. Now that I have been through my deep, dark valley and came out victorious I can encourage others to keep your hope alive because "it is not finished until God says it's finished."This book "Walking through the valley" my journey through sickness was compiled as a means of heightening the awareness and faith of the readers who may be going through some of life's challenges. If you or your family members are experiencing any form of illness or have been told by the doctor that your condition does not look good, this is the book for you to read. This book will provide the tools you need to face your tomorrows and force you to pray without ceasing "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." (Ephesians 6:18) increase your prayer life. All bible verses that are quoted in this book are taken from the King James Version (KJV), and it is hoped that you will search the scriptures for yourself because in them you will find life. While going through my sickness I was not able to search the bible to find encouraging scriptures, but there were those scriptures in my memory that I recalled to mind. It is therefore important for us to study the scriptures while we have the chance because we will certainly need them in times of crisis.
