Mindfulness is an English synonym for the Oriental term, Mushin. Mushin is a shortened version of the Zen expression mushin no shin (), meaning 'mind without mind' or, simply, 'No Mind'. Mushin or Mindfulness is a state where we become empty of all desires, thoughts, and assumptions, but remain alert, attentive, open and receptive to all that is. In Mindfulness our minds and hearts are free of anger, fear, or ego. In Mindfulness there is an absence of discursive thinking and deliberative judgment, but a fullness of intuitive knowing. In mindfulness we are free to act and respond without disturbance from our thoughts. In Mindfulness we intuitively know how to handle situations which previously baffled us. This book is a continuation of my previous writings on the Mystery of Presence. Mindfulness and Presence are terms pointing to the same ineffable, but immediately accessible encounter with what some people call God. I offer this book as a fruit of Presence, i.e. of my fledgling attempts to practice Mindfulness in every present moment. I have found that only words flowing from Presence, only books written in Mindfulness, have the power to communicate the Mystery of Mindfulness and Presence. The book highlights the creation of a bullet train between Washington and New York to end a national embarrassment while proving new technologies useful in modernization projects across the nation. Cole Langford, the "e;Cornfield Guy,"e; and Dawn Connelly lead project teams to implement the reductions so the President can keep his campaign promises. Both have automation expertise and high security clearances necessary to reduce the heretofore sacrosanct Intelligence Community. In the process, every other car in the parking lot disappears. In the end, the couple earns the Presidential Medal of Freedom, gets married and builds upon three years of closure experience to start a new company, Padlockers, Inc. It assists dozens of private companies which close due to the loss of federal contracts. The book ends with the couple enjoying their roles in draining the swamp and reducing the Deep State in Washington while starting a new entity which provides them, and thousands of others, a bright future in a flourishing, free-enterprise economy.

After doing many prison terms, drugs, and everything that comes with growing up in and living the Gang Life, Nano retired from that life, attended College and earned an Associate Degree in Business Management & Accounting. Nano grew up in a world that seemed normal at first but in time, evolved into a very dangerous one, where drugs, violence, betrayal, and prison rule the day, with horrible and sad deaths. One can easily give up hope in life. When a gang runs the streets of your once quiet neighborhood, families can be broken or destroyed. Nano, once a promising young boy was faced with many of these obstacles, became a drug user, and a violent gang member. He saw the madness unfold around him, and he was written off by society and his family. But through inner strength and the advice and mentorship of a couple of good men in his life, he was able to leave his old ways and become the productive citizen of society everyone is meant to be. There is hope, you just have to want to find and keep it. Today Nano has been over 25 years drug free and lives a quiet life away from the mean streets in the Barrios of Southeast San Diego with his youngest son. After working numerous jobs since his release from prison, Nano now works for an environmental company in the Hazardous Materials Industry for the last 15 years. Over the years I have worked to bring attention to how common Epilepsy is, the various types of it, how to handle seizures safely, and helping parents, children and others find support.
