This volume represents the outgrowth of an ongoing workshop on stochastic analysis held in Lisbon. It is a good reference text for researchers and advanced students in the fields of probability, stochastic processes, analysis, geometry, mathematical physics, and physics.

Sampling, wavelets, and tomography are three areas of contemporary mathematics sharing common roots that lie at the heart of harmonic and Fourier analysis. Aimed at mathematicians, scientists, and engineers working in signal and image processing and medical imaging, this work is accessible to an audience with diverse mathematical backgrounds.

HIS book presents a generalized state-space theory for the analysis T and synthesis of finite horizon suboptimal Hoo controllers. Assuming the adequacy of linear expressions, Chapter 4 gives an iterative procedure for the synthesis of a suboptimal Hoo controller that yields the required performance even under parameter variations.
