After retiring as a veterinarian, the author had much more time to spend with others, so he related stories of many of the experiences in his life. He was asked by family, friends, and others with whom he had shared if he had recorded these stories. Ernest never wanted to write his life story, but God revealed to him that he should record his experiences and title the book An Ordinary Man, An Extraordinary God.His procrastination to write ended when he had a back fusion with two rods and ten screws which required him to lay on a bone stimulator for four hours a day for six months; and during that time, he was not able to do any physical work. The book would show how God could take a country boy raised on a farm and use him to bring glory to God. Explaining how God used him could encourage others who also thought they were "nobodies" to realize that God could use any person that believed in God and spent time in His Word to walk in the Spirit and be led by the Spirit.The book begins just before Ernest received Jesus as his Lord and Savior and continues showing how, through His Word, the author received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, learned to walk in the Spirit, witnessed about God to others, prayed the prayer of faith for healing, cast out demons, and did other works of God. His walk with God and how he grew in faith is shared chronologically in the book. Now he could understand the groaning of the spirit within a Christian for the day of redemption when he would enter God's presence and be with Jesus for eternity.

The storm was raging. Cold hard wind with torrential rain and mudslides. Holding on for dear life, they held each other as they gazed into the dark stormy night.Evidence of Christianity is about the adventurous journey of two characters who desperately want to help the people of the City of Morphoo, a city lost in darkness. With an inner drive to set people free, Hunger and Thirst take inspiration from their grandmother as they set out to climb a mountain outside the city in hopes of finding answers at the top.As they navigate Mount Transformation, their journey becomes one of struggle to understand the difference between human effort and God's unlimited power to bring change through the power of the Holy Spirit. Hunger and Thirst experience many trials as they climb and receive strength to overcome from fellow travelers returning from the top of the mountain. This journey would not only change their city but would also dramatically transform their lives forever as they would come to understand, "When you change, things change."

This span, from Christ to today's modern rejecting culture, covers the good, the bad, and the ugly.Early warning signs began with the mention of the Nicolaitans by Christ to the Ephesians, which finally took root in the compromising church of Pergamos, the vey seat of Satan. Going Home is a collection of narrative short stories and accounts of the journey from life and through death--"their final chapters"--of a number of patients, family members, and close friends as I experienced it with them and their families. A person's date of birth is the beginning chapter, and death is the ending of the last chapter. Each story is unique and different as to what people may say, hear, see, or do at the moment of death and their entrance into eternity--their final home. Hopefully, the stories will help people understand and show the readers that the journey from life into death and eternal life does not have to be scary or feared. It can be a calm, peaceful, holy, sacred, and beautiful experience.

It's easy to say life is hard and nobody understands what I have been through. Every time you struggle to get ahead, you dwell on your past experiences.
