Memoir To My Children: How I Got Over is a portrait of one woman's true story detailing her unwavering spirit of perseverance, known to be embedded in her by God. Janet Harrison can attest that life does indeed feature many challenges. Throughout a lifetime of struggles, her resilient faith in God would allow her to handle many of life's hardcore situations. As you will come to find within these pages, there are a great many of them. With the staunch believe that God never gives us more than we can handle, Janet persevered. Often she recites Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me. "Knowing that she cannot do anything without the help of her maker, Jesus Christ, she carried with her great confidence that she would persevere through any and all of life's trials and tribulations. Special emphasize on the word "all" is very significant in that passage. "No matter the circumstances, I have that confidence in My God to strengthen me through them. So with each setback, I am so confident that those failures are never final. My God has the final say in my life."Janet lives every day by the phrase "Faith It, Until You Make It." Yes, it took having a personal relationship with Jesus to conquer so many of the hurdles she confronted. And with her enduring faith, now in her golden age, she carries not a single worry about the future, because as Janet states, "I know My God's got Me."We do hope this book will inspire you to put complete confidence in God, knowing that he will keep his promises. Oh Yes, he will take care of you! We do hope you will not only enjoy the read, but your faith in trusting God will be taken to a higher level.Facebook: janetharrisonauthor Instagram: janetharrisonauthor Website: janetharrisonauthor.com

Realizing at age sixty I suffered from attention deficit disorder, I embarked upon my healing journey. Through years of counseling and reflection on my entire life, I began to understand the reason for the challenges I'd faced, but more importantly, that I'd conquered them all. I realized that not only did I heal, but I learned to thrive. I felt a deep desire to share my experiences, so I decided to write this book. I share my life story to bring hope, a little humor and much needed support to those who may be struggling with this disorder, or any other, and for those who support them. Believe in yourself and your talents, ask for God's help and guidance, and know you can overcome your challenges and live your heart's desire.2

Don't be the best in the world at what you do; be the only one in the world who does what you do.--Jerry GarciaGovernment Contracting Classified is a book of issues and problems concerning government contracting. Henry was raised in a small town (population about eighty) in Northern Middle Tennessee three miles from the Kentucky border. That area is now known as Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. That town was Model, Tennessee. He retired after thirty-two years from the federal government as a federal contracting officer and division chief with an unlimited warrant. Then he ran the Center for Government Contracting at the Dallas County Community College Small Business Development Center (SBDC), where he taught seminars and counseled contractors about government contracting. After that for nine years, he owned his own business, where he wrote technical proposals for contractors. His last position was on the staff of the University of Texas at Arlington Cross Timbers Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and he retired after more than fourteen years. He conducted government contracting webinars/seminars and did one-on-one counseling with potential and current government contractors (small, medium-sized, and large contractors). He worked with federal, state, and local governments.Henry has conducted over seven hundred webinars/seminars, mostly in Texas, over the past twenty-five years. He counseled thousands of contractors and had thousands in his seminars. During his time as a Contracting Officer with an unlimited warrant and working for colleges and universities, he noticed several issues and problems kept coming up over and over. He has identified many of those issues and problems. He points them out in this book with commentary.Although this book is not all-inclusive, it does identify many issues and problems that should be of interest to newcomers and the seasoned government contractor as well. Henry not only points out important issues and problems but provides his personal comments (with seriousness and humor).I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.--Galatians 1:20

I wrote this book not as a self-help book (I am not a therapist) but as a testimony. I went through things and did things that I was ashamed of. I carried so much guilt for so long till I just wanted to die I felt like trash for a long time. I thought men and alcohol would chase away the boogieman but instead they became the boogieman. That would take years of crying on my knees at the altar to get rid of the way I felt about myself. I lost so much because of what happened to me. I delt with many years of fear of everything, and it took me a long time to figure out why I do things a certain way and feel a certain way and why I have missed out on so much in my life. And writing this book has been an eye-opener for me.I hesitated for a long time with putting certain things in my book. I was always afraid of what people would think of me or what would be said on my job. Not anymore. See I must be obedient to the one who kept me alive and gave his life for me. In the end, my heavenly father is who I answer to. If I help just one person, it was all worth it. I do believe many more will be helped though. The one thing I can be certain of is that if you are going through anything, God has your back, and you must be willing to trust Him. You can go boldly to the throne. Talk to him as you would a friend. He already knows your pain and deepest secrets. As I grow in my walk with God, I am learning a new level of love for him. He is awesome. May God keep you and heal you and make you whole again. In his name, I pray. Amen.

The manuscript of God's "Good Morning" is just what the subtitle claims. It is a retelling of my spiritual journey raising an autistic son who is now fifty-four years old. Our son lives at home with his parents and will do so until my husband Greg and I become incapable of parenting him due to old age or our passing at which time, our son will live with his sister. Thus, this relationship is a lifelong commitment. This manuscript is a story of the growth of faith, hope, and love. My intention of writing such a manuscript is that of my desire to share with other parents of a special needs child my experiences dealing with this daunting challenge. This is not a clinical manuscript, but rather a manuscript of personal growth from shock, despair, and discouragement to acceptance, peace, and joy and reveals the miraculous healing of my broken spirit. Although this manuscript is written for parents of special needs children, it would also be found inspiring by a general audience of readers.

This book is for anyone who has had their heart broken, soul wounded, faith tested, abandoned, rejected, or has suffered blow after blow, asking, "Can I get up? And even if I can eventually stand, how can I walk out and not let those blows, fire, and ashes show up in my tomorrow?" I don't want to look like, smell, or feel like what I've been through. Or maybe you're fighting with the shame and guilt of backsliding. You know God, but you keep hearing it's your fault because you're not strong enough. That's a lie from the pits of hell. First John 1 says that "it is true that we should walk with and talk with God continuously, and when we sin, confess it, and the blood of Christ cleanses continually." Because Revelations 12 says that "the enemy continually deceives and seduces the earth's inhabitants. He who brings charges against men and women day and night has been thrown out of heaven."And they overcame and conquered him because of the lamb's blood and because of their testimony's word, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death. (Revelations 12:11)Healing is a part of the work, but wholeness is the complete work; healing is a gift from God for His own, but wholeness is labor built by intention. I realized that my pain/cross was meant to be my oil or my mission of contributing to the world. This book addresses the false sense of security, the disillusioned identity, the emotionally scared, and the effects of scarcity of all other things, which seek to make us forfeit our power by using excuses and cycles. Until we are confronted and exposed by receiving God's Word, we are blind, deaf, lamed, and spiritually dead. I am encouraging all those who want to find themselves to start with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. They came together, in the beginning, to make us partakers in God's work to have dominion on earth and to expand the kingdom of heaven on earth, which that commandment will never be retracted.

The kingdom of God consists of "righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Romans 14:7 NASB). Those who enter must "come like a child" (Matthew 19:14). How did children respond to Jesus when He walked on the earth? They ran to greet Him with pure joy, played in His presence, and reveled in His love. They had no complicated theological questions to ask. They just enjoyed His company, responded to His words of love, and knew with simple childlike trust that it would always be good to be with Him. Jesus said, "The kingdom of God belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14).It is so simple to relate to Jesus in this way. Who complicated it? Ecclesiastes 7:29 (Good News Translation) says, "God made us plain and simple, but we have made ourselves very complicated." Paul expressed concern over the believers in 2 Corinthians 11:3, stating that their minds "might be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ." Your spiritual walk is about your relationship with Jesus Christ, pure and simple. Do you love Him? Do you obey Him? Is He your first love? Do you always return to Him, asking for forgiveness when you mess up? It's really that simple. These poems are about a relationship. Some are personal experiences; others chronicle universal themes. It is my hope that they will lead you into a closer walk with Jesus so that you too can express your relationship with God as I did in God and Me: Poetry. With love,Ann

This passion project began after wanting a devotional book that also discussed the daily Christian living and the humanistic struggles that we all face. It is imperative to give people altering perspectives on philosophy to decide what they believe is best to integrate into their own views. We are the paradox of infinitely large specks; there is bound to be a lesser and greater matter than the one before it. Throughout scientific discovery, we have found smaller particles than the generations before us could have ever imagined. The dilemma is the origin, for we assumed a stagnant structure. This is far from the true case, yet knowing that matter cannot be created nor destroyed has been utilized to provide evidence of God or other mysticism concepts. This novel is halfway split between a section of strict devotional Scripture analysis and Scripture interpretation. The interpretations of mankind are introduced to broaden tolerance of views and hopefully bring many closer to Christ.

For generations, many questions concerning life has eluded mankind. People have contemplated many of these questions and speculated on the true answers. Two questions that, no matter where you originate from or live on this planet, are by far the most intriguing to answer. The existence of a being with supernatural powers and the meaning of life are not the simplest questions to answer. Neither can be explained scientifically with a true answer. Many people believe that we, mankind, are the creation of God--a supernatural entity that has an intelligent purpose in creating us. That intelligent purpose is the meaning of life.If God exists and has an intelligent purpose in creating us, do we really know what this purpose is? And if so, do we find it meaningful in our lives? On the other hand, if God doesn't exist, the meaning of life can only be meaningless. Considering there have been endless numbers of wars, crimes, discriminations, mistreatment, accidents, diseases, and numerous other misfortunes that have affected human life, we naturally ask, "Why do these things happen? And if God exists, why would he let them happen?" A compelling thought to contemplate.A true answer about God and life is presented in the information provided throughout this book. The existence of God and his purpose in creating mankind is a true value for you to know. This book will guide you to the meaning of life and an understanding to your purpose as God's creation.

You don't get a chance to choose circumstances or theoutcome--but you can change your attitude. We all go through bad times, but with God, we can overcome them. Life is hard, and sometimes we make it more difficult. Going through hard times leaves us angry, confused, and feeling defeated, worthless, and a failure. When things happen in your life, and they surely will, they control your mood and emotion and how you cope with life. Tough times don't last forever, but they are never over quickly. We must have patience and endure them. The race is not given to the swift or to the strong but to the one who endures to the end (Eccles. 9:11 KJV). With God's help, I overcame depression, oppression, rape, sexual abuse, and the loss of my mother, daughter, and now my son. My mind and body have been through physical and mental punishment, from a prisoner in a dark place to a bright light at the end of the tunnel--the body takes a licking, but the mind and heart keep on ticking. Serve life as it is a purpose because--guess what--it is. Don't give up or give in if you want to be able to reap your harvest. Victory is yours. Outside looking in, you can't understand it. Inside looking out, you can't explain it.You will win your battle if you hold on. Have faith in your creator. Victory is yours!
