I wrote this book not as a self-help book (I am not a therapist) but as a testimony. I went through things and did things that I was ashamed of. I carried so much guilt for so long till I just wanted to die I felt like trash for a long time. I thought men and alcohol would chase away the boogieman but instead they became the boogieman. That would take years of crying on my knees at the altar to get rid of the way I felt about myself. I lost so much because of what happened to me. I delt with many years of fear of everything, and it took me a long time to figure out why I do things a certain way and feel a certain way and why I have missed out on so much in my life. And writing this book has been an eye-opener for me.I hesitated for a long time with putting certain things in my book. I was always afraid of what people would think of me or what would be said on my job. Not anymore. See I must be obedient to the one who kept me alive and gave his life for me. In the end, my heavenly father is who I answer to. If I help just one person, it was all worth it. I do believe many more will be helped though. The one thing I can be certain of is that if you are going through anything, God has your back, and you must be willing to trust Him. You can go boldly to the throne. Talk to him as you would a friend. He already knows your pain and deepest secrets. As I grow in my walk with God, I am learning a new level of love for him. He is awesome. May God keep you and heal you and make you whole again. In his name, I pray. Amen.

The manuscript of God's "Good Morning" is just what the subtitle claims. It is a retelling of my spiritual journey raising an autistic son who is now fifty-four years old. Our son lives at home with his parents and will do so until my husband Greg and I become incapable of parenting him due to old age or our passing at which time, our son will live with his sister. Thus, this relationship is a lifelong commitment. This manuscript is a story of the growth of faith, hope, and love. My intention of writing such a manuscript is that of my desire to share with other parents of a special needs child my experiences dealing with this daunting challenge. This is not a clinical manuscript, but rather a manuscript of personal growth from shock, despair, and discouragement to acceptance, peace, and joy and reveals the miraculous healing of my broken spirit. Although this manuscript is written for parents of special needs children, it would also be found inspiring by a general audience of readers.

This book is for anyone who has had their heart broken, soul wounded, faith tested, abandoned, rejected, or has suffered blow after blow, asking, "Can I get up? Because Revelations 12 says that "the enemy continually deceives and seduces the earth's inhabitants. He who brings charges against men and women day and night has been thrown out of heaven."And they overcame and conquered him because of the lamb's blood and because of their testimony's word, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death. (Revelations 12:11)Healing is a part of the work, but wholeness is the complete work; healing is a gift from God for His own, but wholeness is labor built by intention. I realized that my pain/cross was meant to be my oil or my mission of contributing to the world. This book addresses the false sense of security, the disillusioned identity, the emotionally scared, and the effects of scarcity of all other things, which seek to make us forfeit our power by using excuses and cycles. Until we are confronted and exposed by receiving God's Word, we are blind, deaf, lamed, and spiritually dead. I am encouraging all those who want to find themselves to start with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. They came together, in the beginning, to make us partakers in God's work to have dominion on earth and to expand the kingdom of heaven on earth, which that commandment will never be retracted.

The kingdom of God consists of "righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Romans 14:7 NASB). Those who enter must "come like a child" (Matthew 19:14). How did children respond to Jesus when He walked on the earth? They ran to greet Him with pure joy, played in His presence, and reveled in His love. They had no complicated theological questions to ask. They just enjoyed His company, responded to His words of love, and knew with simple childlike trust that it would always be good to be with Him. Jesus said, "The kingdom of God belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14).It is so simple to relate to Jesus in this way. Who complicated it? Ecclesiastes 7:29 (Good News Translation) says, "God made us plain and simple, but we have made ourselves very complicated." Paul expressed concern over the believers in 2 Corinthians 11:3, stating that their minds "might be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ." Your spiritual walk is about your relationship with Jesus Christ, pure and simple. Do you love Him? Do you obey Him? Is He your first love? Do you always return to Him, asking for forgiveness when you mess up? It's really that simple.These poems are about a relationship. Some are personal experiences; others chronicle universal themes. With God's help, I overcame depression, oppression, rape, sexual abuse, and the loss of my mother, daughter, and now my son. My mind and body have been through physical and mental punishment, from a prisoner in a dark place to a bright light at the end of the tunnel--the body takes a licking, but the mind and heart keep on ticking. Serve life as it is a purpose because--guess what--it is. Don't give up or give in if you want to be able to reap your harvest. Victory is yours. Outside looking in, you can't understand it. Inside looking out, you can't explain it.You will win your battle if you hold on. Have faith in your creator. Victory is yours!
