    - If you are one of the 600,000 mental health/substance abuse counselors/therapists in the United States… you need to read this book - If you are one of the 10% of the population suffering from addiction... you need to read this book- If you are one of the 19% of Americans with mental illness… you need to read this book- If you are an employer… you need to read this book -You need to read this bookYou might be familiar with the term behavioral health. It is invoked in federal and state legislation, in health insurance benefits, and by pharmaceutical companies. But it has no recognized or legal definition - leading to a mental health free-for-all with the only winner the pharmaceutical industry. What the Hell is Behavioral Health? is a call to arms for therapists to take back control of care from pharmaceuticals and non-mental health practitioners. Employee Assistance Programs were developed in the 1960s to provide support, mental health assistance, and addiction counseling for employees. Don Hidalgo was an early pioneer. From training to employees with learning disabilities to addiction counseling, Hidalgo always worked to find a solution to the client's needs. Seeing firsthand how addiction destroys individuals, families, and communities, Hidalgo has always remained committed to providing the highest possible addiction counseling and support. His devotion to addiction treatment is unique in the counseling industry. Most doctoral and master degree programs have no specified addiction education and most physicians and psychiatrists are not required any medical school education on addiction. With 10% of Americans suffering from addiction, and deaths from the Opioid Epidemic only rising, the pharmaceutical industry and government dangerously refuse to provide adequate addiction care. While legislation is passed for medical marijuana, treatment for substance abuse is routinely cut from health care bills. Practical advice from counselors is frequently ignored in favor of specious medication. Millions of dollars - and millions of lives - are lost. Impassioned and articulate, What the Hell is Behavioral Health? shares effective advice for employees and counselors to create a healthy and productive work force. About the AuthorDon Hidalgo is the founder of the oldest continuous Employee Assistance Program, Hidalgo Health Associates, in the United States. He has lobbied for over 50 years to create compassionate and effective addiction treatment legislation. He continues to practice as an addiction counselor, interventionist, and an expert witness on addiction. Hidalgo is married with seven children. He is active in the Catholic Church.

The author was a USMLM liaison officer for four years (1982-1986). He conducted 165 missions into East Germany, performing close surveillance of the nineteen Soviet divisions located there. Mission is a personal recollection of those surveillance activities. I want to dedicate this book to my husbandJonathan E. HoltA reflection is a subject of thoughts and consideration for hopeA look into the now with visions, dreams and aspirations for things yet to comeAs you reflect, your mind lets you wander to yesterday, today, tomorrow and beyond.Sometimes we reflect on troubled times. Yet trouble we haven't even asked forWe often get discouraged and give up easily. As you reflect, remember what Jesus said,"Jesus said to his disciples, 'Don't be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me.'"Reflect on God's words and the promises He made usAbout the AuthorKathy Adams Holt was born and raised in Shelby, North Carolina. She is married to Jonathan Holt for the past 30 plus years. She and her husband now reside in Lexington, North Carolina. As the author, Kathy, states, all her life she used to walk around talking to God. Way deep down in her heart she knew there was more to life than what she was experiencing. She longed to live the right way. "My heart would always say yes, but my mind didn't follow," she says, "until right up until now." While working at her job one day, she looked around and God showed her a vision of destruction and lost souls. What she saw made her sad and she wanted to bring people closer to God. "It made me sad for the people, but I knew I had to get in church first, so that I could get closer to God," she said. In doing so, Kathy got into church, took leadership classes and graduated from the Servant House Class of Leaders. As she grew closer to God, she, too, noticed a change in her. She wanted people who were facing problems in their life to see things through God's eyes. To see things differently. To let them know, with God, all things are possible. That God cared about their problems and their salvation. The author goes on to say that, "Faith in God is the answer. This is why I wrote these poems with God's inspiration. God knows that if only one of my inspirations can bring just one soul closer to the Heavenly Father, then my job here on Earth has been well done." Amen.

Reeve, PhD, Associate Dean, Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, Associate Professor of New Testament Contexts, Andrews University, United States of AmericaDr. Benoit Petit-Homme's contribution to the discipleship crisis is a compelling re-examination of scripture, church history, and 21st century pastoral experience. He reminds us of what has been forgotten and calls us back to our relational roots.Pr. Ron Kelly, Senior Pastor, Village Seventh-day Adventist Church, Berrien Springs, Michigan, United States of AmericaSeeking the Lost, Keeping Them, Making Them Disciples by Dr. Benoit Petit-Homme is a handy Christ-based discipleship resource that will contribute to the mission of training and equipping church ministry leaders in the evangelistic work of reaping, retaining, and nurturing new believing Christians. This is a must-read for church officers, pastors, and ministry directors in the Christian church.Ron C. Smith, PhD., D.Min, President, Southern Union Conference of SDAEvery year, many thousands of people hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and choose to be baptized and join a church community. Unfortunately, it is also true that every year many new converts leave a church relatively shortly after joining. The specific reasons that each person leaves the church could fill a book by themselves, but they all boil down to one thing: a lack of focus on the part of the church community on turning converts into disciples of our Savior. A disciple of Christ does more than attend church services. A disciple is an active member of the church community. A disciple is a witness to others. A disciple seeks to grow the church by seeking to lead everyone they meet to Christ. Dr. Benoit Petit-Homme is a committed disciple of Christ, and after extensive study of exactly why new converts leave the church, he has developed a process by which any church can make disciples. All it takes is a little extra work, a bit of encouragement, and an unwavering faith in the Lord.About the AuthorDr. Benoit Petit-Homme is an Adventist Christian Minister who loves preaching, teaching, and mentoring. He has spent the past several years conducting Christ-centered evangelistic series, workshops, and seminars in the U.S. and abroad. Paul and Kim had found peace and solitude in Freedom Village, a picturesque safe haven from the world's turmoil. But nothing could keep Paul from the realities of the world, including the danger of North Korea and the real possibility of World War III. The threat of North Korea wasn't just America's problem - it was the world's problem. Finding a solution to this growing threat was on the front of Paul's and other members of America's military and political elite's minds. A request by Sharon Powers to accompany her to Switzerland, where the world's leaders would decide how to handle North Korea and protect the world from devastation, left Paul feeling hesitant and skeptical of the outcome. Nevertheless, Paul accepted the invitation, and after a world summit, a full-scale military mission was swiftly underway. But soon it became clear that chaos throughout the world was ensuing, and North Korea was just one small player in what would turn out to be a world on fire. Can the world's leaders come together and create the peaceful world that seems so out of reach?
