Leroy Johansson simply craved for the 'simple life.' No ties. No strings. Just a little 'peace on earth' that would extent for all the non-Christmas days of his life. That was the plan. But sometimes the longest distance on earth is where you are right now and where you thought you'd be.After a dismal experience in the educational system teaching middle school science, plumbing seemed to offer that unencumbered isolation lifestyle. No more messy school politics, militant unions, unending gossip, living with proficiency tests as Jehovah Almighty, and complicated human interactions to Henry Kissinger navigate. No. It would be the 'simple life' of just the pipes and Leroy. Fix it. Clean it. Install it.Halfway around the world years earlier, Jasmine Kool'ser, a reluctant nuclear research advisor for Kim-Jong-Il, would make a daring escape across the DMZ to South Korea. Jasmine escaped eight months pregnant with the child conceived after being raped by Kim-Jong-Il's nephew Han'guk.Jasmine and Leroy would unceremoniously meet on a doomed DC-9 attempting an emergency landing in Guam. From that moment on, because of them, events will begin to transform the entire North Korean tyranny from either the detonation of a nuclear bomb on American soil, or fanning the flames of democracy.Don't Push, Don't Pull, like the author's previous novel, It's Just My Nature, is an intriguing web of connected stories that blends romance, adventure, after-life possibilities and geo-politics into a page-turner of 'what happens next; I didn't see that coming' engaging novel. Hold on! Wild ride ahead!

Rev. Norman K. Bakken, Ph.D. gleans from his life all that is simple, all that is delicate, and all that is Sacred. On life,Nature has a way of speaking to us when all the world around is quiet, when others are nowhere present and when we, in such moments, pause to listen and to see.On spirit,A child avoids reality by dreaming, an adult by idealistic escape, which is never fully overcome or avoided without an understanding that we, too, are part of that reality. Hopefully, someday we will come to our senses, including a sense of the sacred lying at the base of all life.On our relationship with God,Now I have been tempted to go too far ahead, to say too little of what is already too much. To be quiet, to be attentive, that, I have learned, is the essence of faith in any tradition.

Carl Sagan, popular astronomer, cosmologist, astrophysicist, and astrobiologist wrote: "We are Star Stuff which has taken its destiny into its own hands." The scientific community basically agrees that everything is made of atoms. Proncell F. Johnson Jr. says that they are all wrong! Johnson shows that the material universe (along with us mortals) is one big illusion for all things are actually incorporeal/spiritual, the manifestation of the spiritual being we Christians have come to call God. He says that the realization of and utilization of this fact will enable one to duplicate for himself the "so-called" miracles of Christ Jesus in degrees, thus proving the existence of this God, and the non-existence of matter. Johnson's proof is based upon a law of physics that make it all but impossible to refute as the below reviews confirm.About the AuthorProncell has a Bachelor of Science Degree in health science from California State University, Northridge, California, and a Master of Science Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in the management of acute care medical facilities."This is an important book… Proncell is a man of substance - a deep thinker… I think his nomination for The Templeton Prize is based on the fact that he sits on one side of the spectrum of today's thinkers on mind… It is a Goliath and David battle, but like the shepherd boy, Proncell is going forth to do battle with the giants of today's thinking and saying (respectively) that they are wrong [when they claim that everything is made of atoms]." -Paul A. Robinson, Jr., PhD, Physicist. "Proncell is among the best thinkers in my acquaintance, evident over decade of challenging life experience… I expect his written and spoken ideas to have long-reaching effects enriching lives of which we may never know." -Elaine K. Lang, CS, Christian Science Practitioner, author and speaker. "This book touches on all the big questions - the nature and infinitude of God, God's creation being the outgrowth of what God is constantly unfolding, man's relationship to God, how the man God created in his image and likeness lives and helps others. He is perhaps the first person to compare these divergent views and present his conclusions in depth." -Marsha H. Middleton, English Teacher, Certified School Librarian. Christian Scientist."Dear Proncell, I have read portions of your book and note that you have put a lot of work into it. I wish you success with it." -Laurance R. Doyle, PhD, Physicist, Carl Sagan Center, SETI Institute."…this is a man of religion who does not shy away from science but rather actively engages it… it is a wonderful book to sit down and think through." -Corey Kownacki PhD Candidate, Theoretical Particle Physics.Requests for speaking engagements should be directed to the author at prondor@hotmail.com.

You want to be a philanthropist. You have the money. You have the drive. You have a cause in mind. What more could there be to it than that? Giving money away is easy, right? Anyone who has done any large amount of charitable giving knows how naïve, and potentially economically disastrous, that mindset really is. The laws and IRS rulings that regulate charitable giving can, and do, fill volumes. If a budding philanthropist isn't careful, he or she can wind up paying as much (or more) in penalties and legal fees as they did to their charity of choice. Just think how much good that money could have done if it were applied correctly. Should you give to an established charity or start one of your own? What's the difference between a public charity, a foundation, and a donor-advised fund? Can you work for your own charity and earn a paycheck? Can your kids? Bruce R. Hopkins has the answers to all of these questions, plus several dozen more that you didn't even know to ask.About the AuthorBruce R. Proverbs 8 from the Bible inspired this exceptional book by author Elliott McQuay. All we have to do is accept God's gift, His Son's life, death, and resurrection, which by faith brings us into the family of God cog natively by Jesus Christ's shed blood for us. Ask Jesus to come into your life. He said that He would. You will be very glad that you did. He will never leave you, ever.

  • von Gary Robert Villani

This volume came to fruition at the request of attendees from many of the Sunday school classes the author has led over the past twenty years. The majority of spiritual messages contained in this book came directly from the support material prepared for these sessions, which ultimately led to class members stating, "You've got to put that on paper!" Gifts from the foot of the Cross is not a devotional. The underlying theme of the book is simple and direct-it is designed to reach the everyday Christian and let them know they are not alone in facing the stumbles, slips, trips, and falls they may be experiencing in their daily spiritual walk. Additionally, there are numerous suggestions on how to successfully avoid these pitfalls, and each entry is backed by Biblical passages. It is Gary's sincere hope that the reader will immediately identify with the material in these stories and subsequently find spiritual support and direction to get back on the spiritual wellness trail.About the AuthorGary Robert Villani is a retired executive who recently completed a forty-two year tenure in the airline industry. He met his beautiful wife, Cathy, on one of his assignments in the Caribbean, and the couple has been blessed with two fabulous daughters: Genese, a NICU nurse, and Breanna, a camera operator in the film industry. Gary's reconnection to his spirituality began after a near-death experience at age fifty, and since then his passion for the Lord has only grown. Gary also enjoys golfing and hiking, and has hiked many U.S. National Parks, as well as Switzerland, Italy, Chile, and Argentina.
