  • von S. R. Campos
    16,00 €

With The Fine Line Between Demonic Influence and Illnesses, Dr. S. R. Campos delves into the complicated message of the Christian gospels. He disputes the widespread consensus among leaders of the Church. There is, he argues, a real and urgent pastoral responsibility to address demonic possession and oppression in the world. Recent advancements in medicine have found materialist causes for conditions which for centuries of church history were taken to be instances of possession. Epilepsy and schizophrenia are real conditions, and it is important that those inflicted are treated medically. Yet Dr. Campos asserts that demonic influence is also real. Christian believers who don't wish to pick and choose from the Bible according to their convenience must wrestle with the testimony of the gospels-several of Jesus' miracles involved the casting out of demons. Dr. Campos draws on his years of experience in deliverance ministry, to show the reader the differences between medical illness and possession. He does so in order to establish a precedent for ministering which is respectful of medical science, but which doesn't turn its face from the true spiritual presence of evil in the world.About the AuthorDr. S. R. Campos was called by God into a deliverance ministry more than thirty years ago. He has been privileged to impart the lessons of his experience, in his position as a university professor, to pastors from other ministries. For seven years he served on the board of directors for Gracehouse, a transition home for women. With his wife, Mary Campos, he provides food and clothing to the vulnerable and needful members of his community. Dr. Campos and Mary have been married for 44 years and have two children, Robert Michael Campos and Leah Marie Compian.

You hold in your hand what might be the clearest book on religion ever written. It proposes that five basic views of God exist in the world-not dozens. Four of these religions are partly true, but contain distortions-like misguided distributaries off a river. These errant streams are all similar-based on fear and good works. However, the River of God-the eternal source of truth about the Almighty-is different. It operates by trust and love and is based on grace. Want to find true faith or religion? It's found in a Person Who is Himself the River of God."Whatever your belief, you will find this book a challenge to your thinking to rise above the world and look down on five major worldviews. You will be forced to renew or make a new commitment. It will help you think globally and personally. That's quite a challenge."-LOREN CUNNINGHAM, Youth With A Mission"In a world full of more relativism and competing religious narratives, Dr. Ron Boehme's latest work, River of God, serves as a clear descriptive resource defining the 'other voices' while simultaneously proving that only one can occupy the pedestal of truth, eternal life, and grace." -REV. DR. SAMUEL RODRIGUEZ, Hispanic Evangelical Association"This is a powerful book that helps to answer the most important question a person can ask in their lifetime. 'Is there a God to whom I must answer?' River of God is written with piercing clarity that will break through confusion and conflicts of choice. The love and grace of the 'Lord of All' shouts above the fray and draws the reader into a confident and settled understanding of the one true Way!"-DR. GLENN C. BURRIS, JR., The Foursquare Church"River of God is an open door for revelation and an invitation to an ever-deepening relationship with the only true God rooted in love and grace, requiring nothing but faith. Bring the longings of your heart to these pages, and open your mind to this journey of reason and faith, longing and hope. I assure you it will be a journey of joy."-FROM THE FORWARD BY DICK EASTMAN, International President, Every Home for ChristAbout the AuthorDR. 24,00 €

When Vance A. Fossum's wife was ill many years ago and no longer able to buy birthday cards for their grandchildren, she sent him on an impossible mission. It was impossible not because there were no birthday cards to be found - there have always been plenty of them. However, the better ones seemed too expensive to be thrown away and few were really fun. Like most grandfathers, Fossum likes to entertain, tease, and even teach his grandchildren. Unfortunately, distance prevented Fossum from visiting his grandchildren as often as he wished. So a special, more personal birthday card seemed like a good way to bring smiles across the miles. The "Fan Flea" was among the first imagined critters. The happy reception of these, and the multiplying of grandchildren, led to more nonsensical creations with rhyming lines to encourage laughter and learning. Soon, what had seemed an impossible and frustrating task became an exercise of pure fun - Grandpa's grimaces became Grandpa's Grins! This book is dedicated to the grandchildren who inspired it. It is Fossum's hope that other "children" between ages eight and eighty may smile along with him and with one another.About the AuthorAs with all of Fossum's childhood friends, baseball and other sports were part of a daily routine growing up in the 1950s and early '60s. At the same time, he had an avid interest in art, poetry, and music, which continues to this day. Fossum and his three younger siblings were raised by Lutheran-Christian parents in Austin, Minnesota. They grew up in a home where the word of Christ was the highest priority. Joy and laughter abounded, as they often sang hymns in four-part harmony as well as old show-tunes and popular music their parents taught them from the 1930s and '40s. In the summer of 1965, after graduating from high school, Fossum's plan was to get a degree in architecture and design. However, after serving forty-six years as a pastor in the Church of the Lutheran Confession (CLC), he retired from the full-time ministry of the gospel in July of 2016. His wife of thirty-eight years passed away in the summer of 2008. They were blessed with four wonderful children, Christian spouses for their children, and many grandchildren. Fossum desires to continue writing and serving in the part-time ministry, as well as writing and illustrating a children's devotion book.

This story is about love, devotion, and never-ending loyalty-two dogs, Chamba and Maxx, that came into their lives in two very different ways. Chamba was a loving, caring, placid Black Lab/German Shepherd mix whom, after suffering abuse at the hands of her former owners, found a way to free herself from her chains and run to their home, where she found love and acceptance. And Maxx was a Cockapoo she was determined to adopt. During a two-year geographical separation, they became best friends. These two dogs brought unconditional love, laughter, and tears to their family. Their passion for adventure led to quirky exploits and escapades. In the end, the family's love and devotion to Chamba and Maxx didn't match the enduring loyalty they had for one another.
