Some people meet life head on, with a clear view of what is expected of them ¿ and what is in store for them. Others stumble forward. Father Michael is living two lives: one as a supposedly devout Catholic priest, the other breaking his vow to the church. Father Michael faces a crisis of fidelity, a choice between his conflicting passions. Set in 2005, PassionTide follows Father Michael as he searches for the strength to solve his dilemma. Though a work of fiction, PassionTide touches on everyday interactions, including acts of kindness and betrayal. Surrounding Father Michael, the church is in ongoing crisis-in ongoing need of reform, populated by the strong and the weak, the devout and the unfaithful. PassionTide offers food for thought, from both sides of the altar, while showing Father Michael's struggle with who he is called to be, and how facing one's passions is at the heart of that endeavor.About the AuthorJames DiLuzio, Sr., born and raised in Philadelphia, was a parish priest for eight years. He subsequently pursued a career in child-welfare social services. He and his wife recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They reside in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and have four children. PassionTide is his first book.

God told her to write His words about where we came from and where we go when we die. She asked God why He picked her. God said to trust Him. He has been through a lot in his lifetime but still manages to walk around with a smile on his face. He has never been the type of person who has asked for much of anything. If he has a fishing pole, a baseball bat, a roof over his head, clothes on his back, food on his table, and a healthy lifestyle, then he is happy. His favorite pastimes are fishing and baseball. He also loves kids and loves seeing them happy. If he can get everyone who reads this book to smile and feel good, then he has accomplished the main reason he wrote this.

  • von Ph. D. Bill Heard

This colorful memoir follows Bill Heard, Ph.D. through various early and mid-life experiences throughout the American Southwest that have shaped him into the man he's become. It sheds light on his struggle to grow up and finally cross cultural boundaries and enter into the intellectual community. Many of the early happenings occurred during the Great Depression and the dust storms of the Midwest in the 1930s. It was said that, on any day, one-fourth of the American people were on the road looking for work. To that extent, this memoir is historical, as seen through the eyes of a child. Dr. Heard's storytelling is easy to get caught up in: at times humorous and other times sad, sometimes inspirational, and always interesting. He bares even the most awkward and teaching moments. His story is full of action, with a variety of life experiences with unexpected twists and turns. Dr. Heard aims to present one person's struggle to grow up and manage his life in the context of such questions as who am I, and how do I become that person? Socrates has said, "The unexamined life is not worth living." Dr. Heard hopes that others reading the book will find a companion in their own unique struggle to lead an examined life.About the AuthorBill Heard, Ph.D. grew up on his grandparents' farm in West Texas, shortly before the Great Depression and the start of the Dust Bowl of the "Dirty Thirties." He moved to Arizona when he was eight. Thirty-three years later, he moved to California, where he resided for forty-four years. Finally, at age eighty-five, he moved to Hawaii, where he presently resides. He has worked as a pastor and as a psychotherapist. He is now retired and seeking an enjoyable life.

  • von Bruce Fleury

Bruce Fleury's The Negro Project: Margaret Sanger's Diabolical, Duplicitous, Dangerous, Disastrous, and Deadly Plan for Black America is an in-depth and engrossing cautionary tale written by the author to serve as a warning to all Americans not to forget their history, and perform their due diligence in order to be able to see the not-so-obvious objectives behind the deeds of others. This work surrounds the author's realization of the harm Margaret Sanger and others like her brought upon the black community in the name of "women's health" through her organization, Planned Parenthood. He sees the black population as being in mortal danger of extinction if Americans don't wake up and fight the battle against abortion. Mr. Fleury raises some very compelling points in his exposé and has provided a great amount of research to support his findings. The reader will most certainly learn a historical lesson that was never taught in school. About the AuthorBruce Fleury was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, and as a youngster moved to Detroit, Michigan, with his parents and five siblings, where he spent 56 years. Twenty of those years he was employed at Ford Motor Co. He currently resides with his wife, Janette, in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan.Mr. Fleury likes to think of himself as a student of history and is strongly pro-life, the reason for his writing of this book. He is also keenly interested in politics, sports, and current events.
