La investigación en contabilidad permite adentrarse en la diversidad de la gestión; toda empresa sea cual fuese su actividad o composición societaria determina su visión y permanencia en el mercado y por ende su sostenibilidad, sustentada en los rendimientos lose cuales representan una importante remuneración a la inversión. Para que ello ocurra, el insumo teórico-práctico lo representa una gestión eficiente de los recursos que aterrice en los ingresos de la gestión, como son la importante facturación y le eficacia en la conversión de liquidez. Control interno a las áreas vinculadas en la gestión sin duda representa una oportunidad de asegurar que el riesgo inherente a los negocios, se vea reducido por el logro de los resultados empresariales; es decir una importante cifra de margen neto de las utilidades. Las investigaciones puestas de manifiesto en esta obra han sido producto de estudios de casos reales en empresas donde la problemática es heterogénea a los resultados.

A lo largo de cinco trabajos compilados en este libro, se presentan estudios de diversas temáticas, que abordan sobre el paisaje sonoro, la corporalidad, la semántica, filosofía y tecnología musical; pero, todos los temas, de alguna manera están relacionados con aspectos de la historia del rock y la guitarra eléctrica, principalmente. Generalmente los estudios musicales se abordan de manera aislada respecto a otros campos de conocimiento, de tal manera que se puede aprender a tocar la guitarra eléctrica sin conocer cómo es su funcionamiento, es posible conocer y disfrutar de magníficas obras musicales sin entender los fenómenos, relaciones y condiciones que permitieron que se originara. Los estudios transdisciplinarios de la música rock develan las relaciones intrínsecas entre tecnología, época, territorio, salud, ecología, cultura y arte; entender estas relaciones fomenta y refina la apreciación artística de las personas, permitiendo valorar la actividad artística por su lugar y momento en la historia, por las tradiciones y cultura que representa, por la tecnología desarrollada y modo de emplearla, llevando a apreciar la obra por su auténtico valor humano.

La comprensión de las Matemáticas constituye un proceso importante para el desarrollo de aptitudes como el pensamiento lógico matemático y la comprensión de otras ramas de la ciencia como la Física, Química o Biología. Por esta razón la implementación de nuevas técnicas educativas innovadoras constituye un componente fundamental para la adquisición eficiente de nueva información. Por ello el presente trabajo tiene como principal objetivo analizar la ludificación como estrategia de reforzamiento en el aprendizaje de la potenciación de los números racionales en novenos cursos de la Unidad Educativa Luis Cordero. Para poder cumplir con este propósito planteado, se ha optado por seguir una metodología de investigación basada en el paradigma interpretativo, de diseño cuasiexperimental mediado por un enfoque mixto, y siguiendo estos parámetros se designa como grupo experimental al noveno B con 39 estudiantes como grupo experimental, y al noveno A de 37 educandos como grupo control. Al analizar los resultados obtenidos de los dos conglomerados estudiantiles, ya mencionados, se obtiene una marcada diferenciación en cuanto al rendimiento académico en la temática de potenciación de números racionales por parte del grupo expuesto a la ludificación pues evidencian una mejora en el entendimiento del proceso de resolución de esta operación básica, esto en comparación con el grupo ajeno a dicha experimentación. Como conclusión general se destaca el efecto positivo que tiene la implementación de la ludificación en el ámbito matemático y que puede ser aplicado en otras ciencias exactas.

Las organizaciones y la sociedad nos están demandando un cambio social en el que los valores de la innovación y el emprendizaje sean referente. Generando una cultura no solo abierta a los cambios sino generadora de cambios. La preparación profesional en Educación Física poco ha cambiado, a pesar de la significativa mejoría de los discursos y discusiones teóricas. El problema principal se encuentra en la orientación de las disciplinas prácticas (materias prácticas) estructuradas en el modelo deportivo \ competitivo, con metodologías orientadas para el dominio de las técnicas que ya fueron consagradas por la tradicionalidad y tratando al alumno como atleta. Lo que estamos discutiendo es la posibilidad de que los contenidos prácticos se estructuren sobre las producciones culturales de los distintos grupos sociales que constituyen los países de América Latina, asumiendo la responsabilidad de socializar los conocimientos que permitan la construcción de identidades (cultura patrimonial) y también de los conocimientos que permitan que los alumnos comprendan porqué consumen y producen determinadas manifestaciones culturales (cultura popular). Por esa razón creemos que los profesionales de la Educación Física deban ser preparados como investigadores de las realidades escolares y utilizar las experiencias de vida de sus alumnos en la estructuración del currículo escolar.

The local growth and metastatic spread of breast cancer cells is strongly associated to the co-existence of changes in haemostasis. Platelets play a crucial role in the framework of this nterplay, predominantly through their activation and the trend for reactive thrombocytosis, which both lead to the formation of new blood vessels and increase the local and systematic inflammatory profile, favoring the natural progression of breast cancer. Therefore, it would be very useful to evaluate whether the common laboratory platelet indices could be considered as biomarkers of the biological behavior of a type of cancer, which stands as one of the leading causes of death for the female population. Within the framework of our present study, we evaluated the common laboratory indices of platelets - total count (TPC), mean volume (MPV), platelet distribution width (PDW), large platelet cell ratio (LPCR) - both alone and in combination with the total lymphocyte count, in the form of the conventional prognostic biomarker of survival - platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) - as well as in the context of its modified version we propose - large platelet to lymphocyte ratio (LPLR). The laboratory data were evaluated for their degree of correlation with the nature of the underlying neoplasia (benign or malignant neoplasia) and, in the case of malignant lesions they were correlated with the basic pathological-anatomical characteristics -tumor size, spread to lymphatic nodes, grade, over-expression of hormonal receptors/HER2 protein- and the Nottingham Prognostic Index (NPI), score used to estimate the 5-year survival of breast cancer patients.

La cultura Kallawaya es uno de los exponentes culturales más representativos de Bolivia, declarada "Patrimonio de la Humanidad" el 2003. Por su alta fragilidad y grandes amenazas, lamentablemente tiene un alto riesgo de desaparecer; ante esto, los kallawayas han apostado por el turismo biocultural como actividad estratégica para la salvaguarda de su cosmovisión. Entonces, mediante una investigación de carácter cualitativa basada en la sistematización de experiencias, se propone mostrar cómo bajo un enfoque de turismo sostenible, consciente y biocultural el turismo puede convertirse en un potenciador de esta expresión cultural, más que en un destructor de ella.

The slope failure is a large deformation problem, the traditional numerical method finite element method (FEM), and limit equilibrium method (LEM) is difficult to characterize the whole process of the failure, resulting in the mechanism analysis which is not clear. In this work, a mesh-free particle approach, named the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method, is presented and is improved to analyze the damage and failure process of a rock slope. In order to better describe the cause and mechanism of brittle failure for rock slope, the plastic factor was suggested and introduced into the SPH algorithm, and the conservation equations of SPH for brittleness characteristics were obtained. For soil slope, its instability mechanism and failure mode are different from that of rock slope. Therefore, this work also introduces the application of the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method in the instability evolution process of soil slope. Firstly, an improved method for solving the SPH safety factor based on the adaptive discount factor method is proposed, the tolerance value is introduced, the relationship between the displacement increment and the tolerance value of the characteristic point is analyzed, and the real displacement mutation point is determined. Secondly, the SPH numerical model of slope is established to analyze the characteristics of slope deformation and failure, which shows that the SPH method can effectively represent the whole process of slope instability and progressive failure and effectively overcome the disadvantage of non-convergence when the traditional numerical method is used to study the deformation and failure of geotechnical materials.

It explains culture and its growth through human interactions with the environment, with reference to hunter-gatherer, agricultural, and city cultures. It explores how technology grew with social expectations, and how the Earth came to be considered a warehouse of resources for human use. It points out three elements - technical solutions, changes to the built environment, and changes in behaviour - that created the technological revolution, but which can also be used to achieve sustainability. The book describes a culture of sustainability, its historical roots, how it is growing, and how we can help it grow more quickly. This is done with reference to the current sustainability crisis. The growth of environmental awareness is traced from the conservation movement to the current sustainability movement. This leads to a discussion of international action for sustainable development, explaining and commenting on endeavours such as the Club of Rome, MAB, the Brundtland Commission, ICLEI, the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development, Agenda 21, and Agenda 2030. The UN Global Goals (also called the UN Sustainable Development Goals) are discussed in terms of benefits and what could make them easier to implement. An argument is made for strengthening bottom-up leadership for sustainability. This is followed by two chapters on approaches that do this - Biosphere Reserves and Biosphere Eco-Cities. En efecto, la motivación cumple un papel indescriptible en el desarrollo de nuestros procesos psicológicos, principalmente en la atención sostenida.

La finalidad del libro es observar el nivel educación financiera que existe en España y proponer ideas para mejorarlo. La educación financiera no debe limitarse exclusivamente a expertos en el ámbito económico pues todas las personas, para el desenvolvimiento de la vida diaria, están obligadas a conocer términos y adquirir conocimientos de carácter económico-financiero. Cotidianamente, cada familia tiene que abrir cuentas bancarias, comprar a plazos, utilizar tarjetas para efectuar compras, sacar dinero de cajeros automáticos, solicitar préstamos, etc. Además de ello, a través de los medios de comunicación se transmiten términos y conceptos que son necesario comprender, como tributos, impuestos, inflación, tipos de interés, renta fija, renta variable, deuda pública, presupuestos, déficit, superávit, etc. El objetivo del primer capítulo es analizar el nivel de la educación financiera en España, y emitir propuestas para mejorarlo modificando los Planes de Estudio. Para su consecución se realizan tres análisis: en el primero se muestra diversos estudios realizados por instituciones nacionales e internacionales que dejan claro el escaso conocimiento de los conceptos económicos y financieros entre la población española, en el segundo se analizan las asignaturas impartidas en los estudios reglados no especializados con estos contenidos, y en el tercero se realiza un estudio empírico que muestra la transversalidad de los conceptos en el resto de las asignaturas que no son específicas de economía y finanzas. De estos estudios se infiere que la situación de la educación financiera no es la deseable. La finalidad del segundo capítulo es describir una experiencia docente de implantación de gamificación en materia contable y evaluar la adquisición de competencias definidas oficialmente como objetivo de dicha materia, mediante el análisis de la percepción de docentes y estudiantes.

Plants live in a complex environment suffering various stress constraints. To counteract stress condition plants have evolved sophisticated defense systems. In tomato plants a key role in defense is played by systemin (Sys), an octadecapeptide, released upon leaf damage from a larger precursor, prosystemin (Prosys). Considering the need to reduce the agro-chemicals we investigated foliar and hydroponic application of Sys to tomato plants that increased both direct and indirect defenses (Chapter 1): treated plants strongly reduce growth and vitality of Spodoptera littoralis larvae also damaging the development of future insect generations. In addition, Sys treated plants reduce leaves colonization of the necrotrophic fungus Botrytis cinerea and have an increased level of attractiveness of natural herbivores antagonists. In order to investigate the molecular mechanism underpinning Prosys' defence activation, a prediction study of protein-protein interactions (PPIs) was done (Chapter 2). More than 16000 interactions were captured from the interactome query and, among them, 98 Prosys direct interactors were catalogued using GO terms. Prosys sub-network evidenced that Prosys links with two large groups of kinases and transcription factors confirming that the precursor is associated with the very early steps of plant stress perception. Prosys PPIs were also investigated in vitro and in vivo (Chapter 3). Affinity Purification Mass Spectrometry (AP-MS) detected more than 300 Prosys interactors. Some PPIs were validated through BiFC. Overall, the results proved that Sys is a very effective plant protectant, and its use could reduce the application of chemical pesticide while Prosys is involved in a large number of interactions possibly due to its ID structure and consequent biological function.

El alcohol, como protagonista actual, plantea desafíos de salud pública y social, especialmente para futuros profesionales de la salud.La investigación, guiada por la hipótesis de que el consumo excesivo afecta a los estudiantes, busca describir su frecuencia y matices. Con un enfoque cuantitativo y el Cuestionario AUDIT, se desentrañan los secretos del consumo entre 247 estudiantes.Los resultados son reveladores: el 66.4% no presenta consumo excesivo, mientras que el 33.6% experimenta riesgos, dependencia o síntomas perjudiciales. La trama se complica al explorar patrones según edad, sexo y año de cursado, abriendo puertas a futuras intervenciones.Este estudio, en su esencia, no solo destaca números, sino también la complejidad de los patrones de consumo. Con menos de 2000 palabras, brinda una visión clara del escenario, planteando preguntas cruciales para la prevención y el cuidado del futuro en las aulas de Enfermería.

Moreover, the research illuminates the profound influence of gender dynamics on leadership, communication styles, conflict resolution, support, morale, career progression, and gender parity within the Trojans, underscoring the importance of fostering an inclusive and gender-aware military environment. Históricamente el manejo de adolescentes infractores ha sido un desafío. Por esta razón este artículo académico pretende exponer como la Justicia Juvenil Restaurativa se ha convertido en una alternativa valiosa para abordar esta problemática. Para lograrlo, se llevó a cabo un análisis de conceptos y prácticas internacionales relacionadas con este enfoque. Se destaca la importancia de esta perspectiva para fomentar la responsabilidad personal y empoderamiento de los adolescentes infractores, así como en reducir la reincidencia y mejorar la reintegración y reparación del daño a las víctimas. Finalmente, se enfatiza la efectividad de la Justicia Juvenil Restaurativa como una opción más comprensiva para abordar los desafíos en el sistema de justicia penal.

Enfocado en la prevención de crisis financieras, el estudio utiliza la cartera de crédito de los bancos múltiples (o comerciales) como variable clave, debido a que, representa la principal fuente de ingresos y ganancias de la mayoría de los bancos, lo que puede proporcionar información valiosa sobre la interconexión de los bancos y su riesgo sistémico, lo que puede ser útil para predecir futuras crisis financieras y diseñar políticas regulatorias adecuadas. Este modelo emerge como una herramienta esencial para las autoridades reguladoras y supervisoras en cuanto a la identificación de entidades con alto riesgo de interconexión mediante la construcción de una red bancaria bipartita compuesta por dos tipos de nodos, (i) los bancos múltiples y (ii) la cartera de crédito -segmentada por sector económico- , para medir la causalidad entre los nodos de la red usando la matriz de incidencia. La simulación de choques a los distintos sectores económicos a los que va dirigido el crédito ofrecen a los responsables de tomas de decisiones una visión clara de cómo los eventos climáticos, fenómenos atmosféricos, entre otros., afectan el turismo, el sector agropecuario, entre otros sectores de la económia dominicana transfiriendose al sistema financiero.Este libro proporciona una guía valiosa para la planificación estratégica, la formulación de políticas y la toma de medidas informadas. In this book, the author critically evaluates the (re)presentation of gender and sexuality in Zora Huston's Their Eyes and Alice Walker's The Color Purple. It considers the ways in which perspectives of gender, subjectivity and sexuality structure the discourse of these two writers and how they manage to (re)read and (re)write the conventional and canonical stories of African American women. In order to engage in this task, suitable concepts and tools from both feminist literary theory and critical discourse analysis are used. The feminist perspective on the novels reflects new ways of understanding how these texts make sense of Black American women's experiences of conflict, contradiction and oppression. The discourse analysis highlights the multiplicity of discourses used and demonstrates the complex and subtle ways in which taken-for-granted social assumptions about gender, subjectivity and sexuality are discursively (re)produced, negotiated and contested. In the process, it becomes clear that new perspectives of the novels can be reached due to their complexity in terms of novelistic vision and innovative use of discourse.

Students are inspired by reading, which helps them learn about important concepts and develop their critical and analytical thinking skills. Writing and reading together give students the chance to expand on their knowledge of language and life while also developing the forms of synthesis and selective attention needed to create fresh frameworks for the meaning of life. To this end, the Extensive Reading Strategy Training (ERST) program had to be feasible in regular practice be practical for teachers to use, and be recognized as a program that matches teachers' curriculum expectations.

Delays in court proceedings that result in delayed justice delivery are inevitable realities that are influenced by various factors, including jurisdiction size, docket management, case classification, calendaring, and court practices. Despite the laws and policies that safeguard the rights of Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) against unjust incrimination and unlawful detention, numerous concerns regarding the lengthy confinement of CICL still persist. The COVID-19 pandemic crisis further compounds the impact of delays on court processes, leading to increased dockets and hearing resets. Therefore, the study aims to assess the effects of delayed court proceedings on the psychosocial development of CICL. A qualitative design and phenomenological approach are employed to explore the experiences and perspectives of the primary participants and key informants to shed light on the outcome of delays. The study focused on the three domains of psychosocial development which are the responsibility domain, temperance domain, and perspective domain. The results show that delays have no direct influence on the resistance or susceptibility of the CICL to peer influence, but it is found to be a contributing factor to establish CICL's identity in their present social context in Bahay Pag-asa. Delays also affect their behavior, potentially leading to impulsivity, aggression, and negative responses to the family court or justice system. It triggers and develops psychological distress and depression. Furthermore, delays can trigger psychological distress and depression, challenging CICL's perception of their rehabilitation and shaping their coping mechanisms.Furthermore, the research presents a comprehensive definition of delay derived from the perspectives of the participants. According to this composite definition 'A delay refers to the postponement, cancellation, and resetting of court proceedings, which is inadvertent in manner and is deemed unjustifiable by the CICL. Delays are granted from either meritorious grounds or unwarranted factors associated with both old and conventional court practices, as well as unprecedented social phenomenon.'

This study determined the conditions and opportunities offered within the school system along with the performance indicators of the junior high school students of Catbalogan City Division, Province of Samar, Philippines; the level of implementation of the key elements of a sound outcome-based transformational approaches; the dimensions of opportunity and high expectations; the key characteristics of classroom reform approach and transformative tools; and strategic transformative organization leadership transformative tools; and strategic transformative leadership and management. This study utilized the descriptive research method wherein the quantitative data were gathered using a survey questionnaire. Results showed that there was a high incidence of drop-out rate and failure rate; and that the implementation of the results-based transformational tools and approaches on average were satisfactory which led to the development of the strategic management model for junior high schools in Catbalogan City Division, results-oriented transformative leadership. School leaders and teaching force should maximize the use of the developed strategic management model for junior high school students in Catbalogan City Division, results-oriented transformative leadership.
