  • von Aw Tozer

Many people believe in God and believe that God is everywhere, but they have yet to experience his presence. Delighting in God is the message Tozer intended to be the follow-up to ';The Knowledge of the Holy'. He demonstrates how the attributes of Godthose things God has revealed about himselfare a way to understand the Christian life of worship and service. We are here to serve and adore him, but we can only fulfill that role by acknowledging who he is, which is the essence of the Christian life and the source of all our fulfillment, joy, and comfort. To understand who we are, we need to understand who God is. His very character and nature are reflected through us. Unless we fully grasp who we are, well never become all God wants us to be.

  • von Franz Kafka

The Metamorphosis is a short novel by Franz Kafka, first published in 1915. It is often cited as one of the seminal works of fiction of the 20th century and is widely studied in colleges and universities across the western world. The story begins with a travelling salesman, Gregor Samsa, waking to find himself transformed into an insect. When Gregor Samsa woke up one morning from unsettling dreams, he found himself changed in his bed into a monstrous vermin. With this startling, bizarre, yet surprisingly funny first sentence, Franz Kafka begins his masterpiece, The Metamorphosis. It is the story of a young man who, transformed overnight into a giant beetlelike insect, becomes an object of disgrace to his family, an outsider in his own home, a quintessentially alienated man. A harrowingthough absurdly comicmeditation on human feelings of inadequacy, guilt, and isolation, The Metamorphosis has taken its place as one of the most widely read and influential works of twentieth-century fiction. This ebook has been professionally proofread to ensure accuracy and readability on all devices.ABOUT THE AUTHOR:Franz Kafka was born to Jewish parents in Bohemia in 1883. Kafkas father was a luxury goods retailer who worked long hours and as a result never became close with his son. Kafka had a thorough education and was fluent in both German and Czech. As a young man, he was hired to work at an insurance company where he was quickly promoted despite his desire to devote his time to writing rather than insurance.Over the course of his life, Kafka wrote a great number of stories, letters, and essays, but burned the majority of his work before his death and requested that his friend Max Brod burn the rest. Brod, however, did not fulfill this request and published many of the works in the years following Kafkas death of tuberculosis in 1924. Thus, most of Kafkas works were published posthumously, and he did not live to see them recognized as some of the most important examples of literature of the twentieth century. Kafkas works are considered among the most significant pieces of existentialist writing, and he is remembered for his poignant depictions of internal conflicts with alienation and oppression. His stories include The Metamorphosis (1912) and In the Penal Colony (1914), while his novels are The Trial (1925), The Castle (1926) and Amerika (1927). All of Kafkas published works, except several letters he wrote in Czech, were written in German.Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, ebook, 9788180320057

The Bhagavad Gita, meaning the Song of the Lord, is in the form of a poetic dialogue between Arjuna and Krishna. It is part of the great Indian epic The Mahabharata, and is one of the major religious documents of the world. It reveals how human beings accumulate Karma as a result of their actions in innumerable incarnations, and how to achieve liberation through devotion and knowledge. The dialogue, which takes place on the eve of an historic battle, probes the nature of God and what man should do to reach him. As The Bhagavad Gita unfolds, this majestic poem provides a fascinating synopsis of the religious thought and experience of India through the ages. This book offers the classic English verse translation by Sir Edwin Arnold (1832-1904), long admired for its evocation of the true feeling of the original poetry.About the Author:Sir Edwin Arnold (1832-1904), was an English author. After serving as principal of the government college in Pune, India, he joined (1861) the staff of the London Daily Telegraph. He won fame for his blank-verse epic The Light of Asia (1879), dealing with the life of Buddha. The poem was attacked for its alleged distortion of Buddhist doctrine and for its tolerant attitude toward a non-Christian religion. Besides other volumes of poetry, he wrote a number of picturesque travel books and translated Asian literature, inclding The Bhagavad Gita.
