For fall break, Terry's three brothers take her and Pam back to the slot canyon and hanging garden where they survived a flash flood during the summer. They all make it through the hike in, Tom getting hit in the head by a rock knocked down by a deer on the cliffs above, and the slow hike out. Assault on a Culture by Charles E. Adams Jr. unravels the Anishinaabe culture and the forces and processes of environmental and anthropogenic origin that have caused the culture to evolve since the Indians first arrived on the continent approximately 12,000 years before the present (BP). This book examines a specific Indian culture that tells a story that is not well-known by members of the dominant society and even by many Anishinaabeg and it is told by an Anishinaabe descendent who has first-hand knowledge of the culture.Anishinaabe ancestors first arrived in North America approximately 12,000 years ago when a thick sheet of ice covered much of the northern portion of the continent. The provenance in Asia of those peoples implies that the pathway taken to get to their Great Lakes home was long and arduous, severely testing the strength and resolve of those first Americans. For much of their tenure on the continent, the Anishinaabeg occupied a distinct, delicately balanced, socio-cultural niche that evolved primarily as responses to changes of the natural environment. This book is a fictional Biography. For the most part, the main topics that bring this book together are LIFE, LOVE AND MUSIC in that order because first I had to be born. That is Life. I was born out of, or through Love. Whether I was conceived through a planned parenthood or I was just mistakenly processed, it was my parent's love for each other and their passions for stimulation that brought them together and me out of, and apart from them. Now, operating as a separate soul I was introduced to Music. Music was then and still now is my passion in life. It is what motivates me. It is the gift the Almighty God blessed me with and I am here to use it not lose it.
