This book has been written to be a self help book so that the public in general can protect themselves from the worst effects of the next Icelandic volcanic eruptions. We have already seen in March & April of 2010 what a small volcanic eruption did when Eyjafjallajokull blew up and caused chaos over the skies of Europe and North America. This was the least harmful perhaps of all 18 - 25 massive strato volcanoes some of which I believe could erupt in the next 5 years. Ones like Katla which are linked to EJ (short version of Eyjafjallajokull) are about 10 times bigger than EJ.Then there is Laki which erupted in 1783 and 1784 and caused a huge cloud of yellow poison mustard gas to spread over Europe potentially killing about 1 million people and yet no one today knows about this volcano, this is one of the biggest killers the world has ever known possibly killing up to 6 million people worldwide due to its effects upon the Jet stream and Monsoon rains and yet only a handful of Nordic Volcanologists and scientists seem to know about it. My book will educate the public to the dangerous relationship between human civilizations and volcanic eruptions which have profoundly changed the way previous civilizations and historical eras progressed or collapsed as the case may be.

Readability is straightforward throughout this book, with clear meanings and little metaphoric disguise. Light humour and irony are used in many of the poems, but serious topics are described respectfully. The poems cover a variety of aspects of life, including published news items. There is no particular time progression through the pages, topics being in accordance with the chosen headings.¿A planner may aim at some future, beneficial result, but life has ways of spoiling plans and generating unexpected results. As Robert Burns put it: 'The best-laid schemes o mice an men aft gang agley.'Human beings are no less fated than the wee mouse, from clever plans going adrift. Many of these poems suggest speculative developments: similar to those generated by the late, humorous raconteur: Gerard Hoffnung. This light and humorous approach does not apply to all the poems: for example those under the heading 'Faith and Belief' are based upon readings from the Christian Bible; some poems in that category had been specifically requested for inclusion in particular Church Services and have also been published in the St James Church, Malden's, newsletters. The final poem, 'A Climate Crisis' is another exception to the light, humorous approach, it gives a serious and factual description of the bushfires that raged in Australia in 2019.

After a frightening journey the little Pangolin brothers engineer their own escape from captivity, encountering kind support from animal conservation workers who return them to their jungle home. The smugglers get their just desserts.

Parliament Wood being a deceptively simple tale of animal literature about a part real and mystical Avian Society that takes place in the wilds of north-Wales, and on the very edge of Snowdonia. Made up of mainly large and fierce birds that use their experience and wisdom to overcome and tackle the many diverse and often dangerous situations that inevitable come their way in what is essentially a wild and hostile environment. While there is (I think interestingly) a vague historical reference linking the circle of six which takes place on the "Great Orme's Head" to King Arthur and his court; this having been taken directly from that well known tale of ancient folklore about King Arthur having been reincarnated into a chough shortly after his death.

In thinking about the contents of these books, which I believe God led me to read, then seeking the Lord for inspiration, three booklets grew in quick succession. "The Good News", a testimony of how the Lord has guided me since becoming a "real" Christian. "Where did we go wrong?", how we as Christians and a church have moved far away from God; and "Reformation and the church", about what Christians and the church have neglected and forgotten over the years. To truly know and experienced the full, entirely powerful glory of God, His awesomeness brilliance in appearance and the mighty God, Who performs miracles. In the UK, we have lost and indeed many have never experienced the total magnificence of God and we need to discover this again to fully empower Christians to reveal God to the world.In this book, I have tried to give you a flavour of what the Lord has shown me in the books I've read, and especially in the Bible, God's inspired word to the world, together with the booklets, God inspired me to write. I have called the book "Who Cares" with a subsidiary title "Is there a God who cares for you?" Outlining what I have experienced of God leading me over the 40 years, since I first became a Christian. It has not always been easy, sometimes wondering if God is there, if He is real, but looking back over the years, I realise the answer has to be yes. God is real, because I have met Him and heard from Him. He has guided me in difficult times and healed me of sickness, led me to places I would not have thought to go, brought me to meet some amazing people and on occasions given me a glimpse of His Glory. These things I would like to share with you to encourage you to seek more of God, on your continued walk with Him, so you can have a greater experience of His Majesty but even more, come to know His great love for you.The book is attempting to answer three questions. Firstly "Is there a God who cares?", giving some answers to those who have doubts or disbelieve. And showing through the life of one man, a family then a nation, whom God chose to reveal Himself to, that He exists and has a purpose for him and all mankind. Secondly "a God Who cares for you," in telling of how God has shown in my life how he cares for me, can help you to also know how much God cares for you. Thirdly "How God cares for the people of world, by seeing how the Church began and more specifically how the Church grew in the UK. Finally I try to answer the question "Where have we gone wrong?" and suggested how this might be put right. I used the term Church , because most people have an understanding of what is meant by that, but in fact the word Church is really relating to the people, not building.I pray that as you read this book, it will inspire you and many others to also see the way forward for the Church in the UK, that this nation will again became the people God intended us to be, reaching out to the people of the world with the love God has for us.

His early life was filled with every kind of deprivation, he was constantly living on the edge of starvation, the threat of death was never far away either from his home life or from his multiple abusers, the authorities knew what was going on but they didn't help, the most they did was observe, the schools also knew the treatment he was getting at home, every day of his young life was lived in fear, his mind, his body, and his very soul were shattered, 3 times he was placed into a children's home, a place that should have offered a bit of safety, but this place was no better, it was just another place of fear and terror and abuse, only this time at the hands of strangers. for little jimmy no matter where he turned, he found no peace or comfort, his abuse and torment went on until he was in his early teens. Jimmy's early life left him confused with what he was meant to be, was he straight or gay, he hid all the traumas from everyone, at times he would drink away the pain, but it never left him. help arrived in the shape of Judy, she loved his pain away, it was a love he had never felt before, a pure unconditional love for both of them, but this was ripped away from them through lies and deceit, it led to them being jobless, penniless, homeless, a mental hospital, and the ultimate ending of their love, none of it their fault, all done out of pure spite. Jimmy was left alone no Judy, no family, no home, no job, no money, no hope and no help, he tried to get his life back together as best he could, but he would endure more obstacles, a house fire that nearly killed him, a 21st birthday spent alone in the cold and rain, a spell in prison. His life only made sense when his first child was born, its when he began to feel normal, but for over 40 years Judy remained in his head and heart, how could he just forget her, he couldn't.

Lusaka to London in ANA45 - Tales from along the wayThe author describes various incidents which took place during his overland travels from Lusaka to London in 1986 from Zambia in Southern Africa to London. Travelling in an old Land Rover (with the registration ANA45), these were the days before sat navs or mobile phones, what could possibly go wrong? Leaving Lusaka in February 1986 with a travelling companion (a young Brit called Peter, recruited by the author's wife), the journey was to take 6 months. Only 80 miles from Lusaka the first major mechanical failure on the Land Rover resulted in expensive repairs, using up all of the remaining Zambian cash which had been set aside for fuel. Undeterred we continued to the Tanzanian border where the vehicle was then loaded onto a ferry travelling up Lake Tanganyika. On route up Lake Tanganyika was where the next major incident occurred.After visiting silverback gorillas in the Virunga mountains in Rwanda, and negotiating civil unrest in Chad, the next major challenges involved dealing with serious illness on board and total vehicle breakdown in the Saharan desert. Bartering with the locals for spare parts to repair the vehicle, ANA45 was repaired and the journey continued through Algeria. Peter was now in a medical clinic receiving life saving attention and the author was travelling alone through the desert when the Land rover's chassis split almost completely. Roadside repairs in Morocco saved the day. The journey through Spain passed without incident but the final breakdown occurred in rush hour traffic around Paris!

This is a fictionalised social history starting in Victorian dockland London. A lighterman, Frederick Horsfall, who worked the docks from his barge, unloading ships of every sort of cargo coming into London for the great exhibition of 1851. A tough trade, living in tough conditions in one of the most poverty-stricken parts of East London.It follows his children and grandchildren, who became Royal Marines, sailors and soldiers in the great war. It tells of their lives, loves and deaths through some of the most dramatic times in history.The story then follows a ratcatcher, William Jennings from Great Bentley in Essex, his trade, his life and marriage and his son Ernest. Ernest who became a Metropolitan policeman, working his beat around the East London docks, supplementing his living by bullying and extorting from the opium dens, brothels and illegal drinking dens of Chinatown in Limehouse.The third family, the Spiers family, started life in the village of Earl Shilton in Leicestershire, where they were forced to leave their home village to find work. They moved to Birmingham where life did not pan out as they hoped, so they continued their journey to London. Crossing paths while there with the Jennings and the Horsfall families. Two of these families emigrated to the far-flung parts of the world. One family to Brisbane in Queensland Australia, the other to St. Louis in America. The original letters and documents their descendants kept form the basis for the facts of this book, the dialogue and characteristics of the participants are purely fictional. The family dramas are interwoven with the historic global events occurring at the time.

In my first book the Nature Spirit, Moonpool, told of her interaction with the humans as they developed from the last Ice Age until just before the Roman Occupation. This follows on from there through the Roman Occupation, the Middle Ages and right up to the present day. As Christianity spreads there are times when Moonpool, because she is a Nature Spirit or a Pagan Fertility Goddess, is at odds with the established Church, yet she is simply a created spirit ranking slightly lower than the angels and higher than the fairies. She is more concerned with the people of the valley and continues to get involved with them. She prevents conflicts, she helps them through the Black Death, she helps with personal problems and she even solves a murder and saves men from being crushed while digging a railway tunnel. It is a story of friendship, of loss, sadness and joy. Moonpool knows that she will never be human but the one thing she wants is to be remembered, because in this age of climate change humanity needs the Nature Spirits more than ever. This may be called 'Moonpool Revelation' but there are more than one revelations in this book and much of our perceived history is challenged. You have to decide, is this a work of fiction, or have I been talking to a Nature Spirit?
