And that non-regional as well as regional readers will want to search out other outstanding writing from the Caribbean, and become acquainted with the many, many authors and their stories that the region has produced. Chief among these writers are the geniuses, Nobel Laureates, Trinidadian, Sir Vidia Naipaul, and St. Lucian Sir Derek Walcott. 'Best West Indian Stories Edited by Dr. Ken Ramchand' is an anthology of short fiction and presents wonderful stories by authors of an older generation.
