The root of prejudice, terrorism, war and many of humankind's problems is a failure of people to recognize and accept their own individuality socially and respect and empathize with the fundamental individuality of all others. Socially we should recognize, empathize, and respect each other as individuals regardless of what groups we belong to. No individual should have their skin color or gender define who they are throughout their lives on this planet. We need to transform into a 'fellow individual' based society rather than one of fundamentally separated groups of people. We can do this without losing our cultures, religions, nations, states, tribes, languages, etc. - we just need to prioritize- and lead with- individual respect towards all other people.

The aim of this volume originally was to occupy my time during the start of and worst of the Pandemic of 2020. As I started, I realized that I could write. For me writing was like surgery without anesthesia. The subject of the volume was to allow others to perhaps learn from my self-induced pain and pain brought by others, Although the sentiments are true to my heart, the examples used and people referred to are not meant to be actual history but lessons and teachings. The North Atlantic, February 3, 1943. A German submarine, the U-223 torpedoes the USAT Dorchester. The ship sinks within a few minutes with the loss of over 700 lives. The official Naval Records indicate that four Army chaplains aboard the ship gave their lifejackets to frightened soldiers. Praying together the chaplains stayed on the sinking ship. They are known today as the Four Immortal Chaplains, a Catholic priest, a Jewish rabbi, and two Protestant ministers. There is evidence that a Fifth Chaplain, a Black sailor in the Coast Guard, also saved many lives that terrible night. His story, lost in history, should also be honored for his courage and sacrifice at a time when racism was endemic in the Navy.

We did think of going further to paint a picture of each title re-emphasising the intent of the writting but we will rather leave if for the scholars that will do justice to these works someday.

He is a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America, and is certified in Alpine Skiing, Level 2; Adaptive Specialist, Level 1; Children's Specialist, Level 2; and Children's Specialist Trainer. Currently he is employed by the Vail Ski Resort Management Group and is presently on the Vail Educational Staff.
