As we face global population growth, increased competition for land and water resources from industrial and urban growth, climate change and the need to protect the environment, we need new solutions to increasing agricultural productivity to combat hunger and poverty. One particularly effective form of bioconversion biotechnology is mushroom cultivation for food, and also for the production of mushroom derived substances. Mushroom production is so far the most profitable way of utilizing ligno-cellulose containing waste materials into foods of higher yields, protein and gross energy per unit area of land. This book investigates the effect of compost size/height, composting period and supplementation on the yield of mushrooms. Mushrooms are gaining popularity due to its nutritive, medicinal and spiritual uses.

Pleurotus tuberregium is of great economic importance in all parts of sub-Saharan African, especially in Nigeria. Both the sclerotium and the mushrooms grown from it are eaten. In view of its popularity (use as food condiment and in medicine), it became necessary to study the simplest and cheapest substrate that would give the highest weight yield and protein content for its production. The mushroom is important for three main reasons: as a source of food (plus health benefits), as a source of income and to maintain the health of forests.

The central problem addressed is how when an emulsion is used as a lubricant, an oil droplet may be brought to steel substrate to provide microhydrodynamic lubrication. This happens by disjoining a thin water film adhered to steel substrate separating oil from substrate. Quantum mechanical and thermodynamic insights are considered to build a model. The model may be manipulated by selection surfactants and substrates of different chemical potentials to create situations, which enable the disjoining of water film. Different types of forces using atomic force microscopy and physic-chemical methods to validate the model and come to the conclusion, that for a given chemical potential only when the droplet size is controlled by surfactant chemistry and concentration to remain below a critical size it is possible to create a strongly attractive regime between the oil and the steel to bring about the disjoining process. The author demonstrates experimentally for a range of substrates, surfactants and their concentrations in the media, that there is a combination, as suggested by his theoretical model, for which the coefficient friction, in steel on steel sliding experiment, is optimum.

Perovskite solar cells represent a promising and rapidly evolving technology in the field of photovoltaics. These cells utilize materials with a perovskite crystal structure to convert sunlight into electricity. Known for their low-cost production and high efficiency, cesium tin iodide based perovskite solar cells have gained widespread attention in research and development. Their unique properties enable flexibility in design and application, making them a potential game-changer for renewable energy. We have the ability to use improved solar cells within a hybrid photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T) solar collector to produce electricity and heat simultaneously.

The existence of the COVID-19 pandemic brought extraordinary challenges in terms of academic performance, especially in mathematics. This study was conducted to determine the mathematics performance of grade 9 learners using different factors with three variables learners, home, and school factor. A total of 300 learners-respondents took an achievement test to identify their level of mathematics performance amidst the pandemic. As presented, data revealed most learners are academic achievers on their previous grade level, wherein their parents are high school graduates, high-income earners, longer distance from their residence to the school four kilometers and above, and most teachers monitor learners' progress only once per week. Hence, available learning materials at home and school are android cellphones, books, and references this served as a reading guide and access to learning towards a modular approach in teaching. However, the respondents¿ attitudes towards mathematics and level of math anxiety are average levels. Lastly, learners performed unsatisfactorily in mathematics performance due to new normal education.

In modern dentistry, digital technologies have a considerable impact on the diagnosis, planning, and execution of orthodontic treatment, leading to substantial advancements in the field of orthodontics. Customization in orthodontics is a computerized system that designs orthodontic appliances for individual patients. A customized appliance system uses digital models of the patients arches to simulate the optimal position of each dental element and the ideal final occlusion. Once the desired virtual result is achieved, the personalized archwires, brackets are made. Customized systems allow orthodontists to initiate treatment with the final goal in mind, and streamline mechanics towards a preestablished result. These techniques start by creating a setup of the desired outcome that serves as a diagnostic aid and is used for appliance fabrication. Through the use of intraoral scanning, cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), three-dimensional (3D) photography, and computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technologies, a novel customised system enables the assessment of changes in 3D and customization of treatment planning brackets, and wires.

After twenty-three preceding sets of practical exercises laid forward in preceding manuscripts. I have inspired from my core ICT academic and research experience to produce this manuscript. Here, a successive set of 33 cohesively written practical exercises in softwares, directly related to Modern Electronic Engineering Calculators, is laid forward, in a similar style as in the preceding manuscripts. Such exercises apply better to beginner levels in university courses. Of course, its applicability to advanced level courses may be appreciated by many academicians to their discretion. It is retained here that adaptations of these exercises by academicians to their requirements is very possible. It is recommended for students to devise good/workable summary sheets for each exercise, along with writing proper report and referencing needed. For each exercise, a share of analysis is required to develop thinking and critical/professional abilities. Most exercises are devised for computers/laptops along with currently trending smart phones/tablets. Students must communicate properly with their coach, who in turn, are recommended to perform judicious follow-ups.

Recommended dose of inorganic fertilizers (150:100:50 NPK kg/ha) of control treatment could not perform well in increasing growth, yield and quality of tomato. Among the different micronutrients and biofertilizer used in various treatments, overall performance of treatment T8 (RDF + 0.3% FeSO4 + B + ZnSO4 (0.1 % each) + Azotobacter + PSB) was superior. This is because of that micronutrients viz., Fe, B and Zn play active role in plant metabolic processes involving cell wall development, respiration, photosynthesis, pollen tube growth and pollen germination and biofertilizers viz., Azotobacter and PSB increases the uptake of nutrients which in turn results in excellent vegetative and reproductive growth, ultimately increases the yield and quality. Thus, it is concluded that the use of micronutrients and biofertilizers in combination sustained the productivity of tomato.
