Matrix metallopeptidase (MMPs), also known as matrix metalloproteinase or matrixins, are metalloproteinase that are calcium-dependent zinc-containing endopeptidases; other family members are adamalysins, serralysins, and astacins. The MMPs belong to a larger family of proteases known as the metzincin superfamily. Out of which, MMP-2 and MMP9 are involved in all of the pathological processes mentioned above, both during the development of the dental germ and through their influence on the proliferation and invasion of odontogenic tumors, their participation in the degradation of dental and periodontal tissues by promoting the formation of a carious lesion, gingivitis and periodontitis; confirming that this family of proteins can play a major role in various oral biological processes. Moreover, this means that MMPs are currently considered significant biomarkers for research in the different areas of specialization.

In the recent past, India has seen mass destruction due to failure of structures hit earthquakes and consequently, lost a lot of lives. Hence, it is of utmost importance that attention be given to the evaluation of the adequacy of strength in RC framed structures to resist strong ground motions. In this project, a 15 year old four storey reinforced concrete structure has been considered, which lies in Seismic Zone III according to IS 1893:2002classification of seismic zones in India. For non-structural members masonry infill has been assumed. In the Equivalent Static Method of analysis, the seismic load acting on the structure is assumed to be an equivalent static horizontal force applied to individual frames. The total force applied shall be equal to the product of the acceleration response spectrum and the seismic weight. It is used only for low to high rise buildings without significant coupled lateral-torsional modes.

Commonly used solid oral dosage forms are tablets and capsules; tablets are indeed the most popular solid dosage form for oral administration. Controlled release capsules, often containing a plurality of coated pellets, is yet another category of solid oral formulation that offers analogous therapeutic benefits. Multiparticulate dosage forms such as Microballons are pharmaceutical formulations in which the active substance is present as a number of small independent subunits with diameter of 0.05-2.00 mm and widely accepted as a means to achieve oral and parenteral controlled release.Ondansetron hydrochloride, a 5 HT3 antagonist, is a powerful antiemetic drug which has oral bioavailability of 60% due to hepatic first pass metabolism and has a short half-life of 5 h¿ It is commonly used in treatment of chemotherapy associated emesis.

This book presents the outcomes of a research project that sought to investigate the interplay between L1 and L2 in the investigation and analysis of Arabic-speaking EFL learners¿ errors while using definite and indefinite articles in English. The study had two primary goals: First, to identify errors in the use of articles and classify them into three categories, namely addition, omission, and substitution. Second, to attribute these errors to their possible source, namely interlingual or intralingual. This was an attempt to postulate whether L1 Arabic or L2 English played a key role in EFL learners¿ erroneous use of articles. The study participants were 60 male Saudi EFL learners, whose ages were between 18 to 22 years, from a preparatory year EFL program in a large-sized university in Saudi Arabia. They were mainly from two streams, namely Science and Humanities, with different English proficiency levels. In addition, 10 EFL teachers of different nationalities and varied teaching qualifications were interviewed so as to explore how they perceived such learners¿ errors is the use of articles and what ideal solutions they adopted to aid learning.

Assertive behavior promotes equality in human relationships, enabling us to act our own best interests, to stand up for ourselves without undue anxiety, to express honest feelings comfortably, to exercise personal rights without denying the rights of others. Acting assertively increases chances for honest relationships, feeling better about oneself and gaining sense of control in everyday situations. Nonetheless, by developing an ability to express, one is able to reduce stress, increase feelings of self-worth, improve decision-making abilities, and feel more self-confident in relationships. Assertiveness is the ability to reveal oneself overtly, straightforwardly and appropriately, to honor one¿s own feeling and thoughts as well as oneself and to discover one¿s own abilities and limits. Assertiveness is considered also to be an essential social skill, especially for nurses. Becoming more assertive can lead to increased respect and recognition as a person and as a nurse.

This book describes the effect of various factors such as learning rate, discount factor and epsilon on the training ability of the drone to navigate from source to destination. The higher value of learning rate encourages the fast learning of the drone but here is risk of oscillation rather than converging and for the lower value of learning rate the drone learns slowly but converges steadily. This book work is mainly focused on implementation of the RL algorithms for the smaller areas. For larger complex areas these algorithms are less efficient so Deep Reinforcement learning can be used in future to make UAV more efficient for real-world implementation.

The book entitled "Effect of Organic and Inorganic Manures on Growth, yield and Quality of Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench) CV. ARKA ANAMIKA" was executed at the CRC farm -1 of the Department of horticulture, SOAG, ITM University (Sitholi Campus) Gwalior (M.P.) This chapter provides a summary of the findings from the investigation. 12 treatment combinations made up the field experiment viz., Control, FYM, VC, 50 % RDF + FYM, 50% RDF + VC ,50 % RDF + FYM + VC, 75 % RDF + FYM, 75% RDF + VC, 75 % RDF+ FYM + VC, 100% RDF +FYM, 100% RDF + VC, 100% RDF + FYM + VC. and was laid out in the Random block design having three replications with single standard of okra cultivar. The silent findings of the investigations are summarized within this book.

Beginning in the late 18th century, with the Enlightenment, the concept of "ideology" has had a crucial place in social and political thought. However, in the second half of the 20th century, some critics pointed out its problematic formulations and decided that it is better to abandon it. Because of its long, discussion filled history, the concept of ¿ideology¿ is now, almost impossible to define. This study focuses on this predicament and tries for a new definition of ideology.

In Dentistry the use of laser is considered an adjunctive in delivering a stage of tissue management conducive to achieving a completed hard or soft tissue procedures. Diode lasers have been predominantly used for various clinical applications which are broadly termed as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or ¿bio stimulation.Therefore, dental practitioners should be aware of laser adverse effects during therapeutic procedures to minimize the potential risk of patients. ¿Along and across the Shillong Basin: A Geological Overview¿ being a field based monograph provides a systematic accounts of Precambrian rocks exposed within the Mesoproterozoic Shillong basin, an intracratonic basin within the Shillong Plateau, Meghalaya, India, based on the findings of original research work of the author. It is anticipated that the book will help the students and researchers as a field guide who are planning to carry out research work in the Shillong plateau.

Most of the primary spectrum is already assigned, so it becomes very difficult to find spectrum for either new services or expanding existing services. At Present government policies do not allow the access of licensed spectrum by unlicensed users, consists them instead to use several heavily populated, interference-prone frequency bands. As the result, there is huge spectrum scarcity problem in certain bands. In particular, if the radio spectrum is scanned, including the revenue-rich urban areas, it can be seen that some frequency bands in the spectrum are unoccupied for some of the time and many frequencies band are only partially occupied, whereas the remaining frequency bands are heavily used. We propose a new algorithm named CSAC. CSAC is the first one in the literature that exploits the only available channels in designing CH sequences while providing guaranteed rendezvous.

Dentistry is one of the fastest growing science of medicine. With the introduction of many newer instruments and anaesthesia extraction is a routinely carried out procedure in dental office. Tooth extraction remains an essential component of both the art and science of dentistry despite the enormous progress in the prevention of dental disease made during the last three decades of the twentieth century. Dental extraction has always been considered to be an unpleasant procedure for the patients due to pain phobia. With the advent of local anaesthetic drugs techniques and standardization of surgical procedure, extraction is no longer considered to be painful experience to the patients. Gone are the days when extraction was supposed to be one of the crude procedure.The control of the patient is fear and anxiety has long been a challenge to the dental practitioner. Today's extraction procedure is painless and anxiety-free provided that one employs good principles of patient management and pharmacokinetics.

This book delves into enhancing machining performance for EN-24 alloy steel, a challenging material widely used in various industrial applications. Cutting fluids' impact on tool performance during CNC turning was investigated, comparing wet and dry conditions across different cutting parameters¿spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. Using an L18 orthogonal array and Taguchi approach for optimization. Spindle speed emerged as crucial, contributing 73.34% to achieve superior surface quality (surface roughness) and 85.47% for prolonged tool life (Tool Wear Rate). All cutting factors (spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut) significantly impacted Material Removal Rate (MRR), showing their importance in maximizing productivity.This exploration underscores the pivotal role of spindle speed in surface quality and tool life, delineates optimal parameters for different outcomes, and emphasizes the multifaceted impact of cutting conditions on machining effectiveness for EN-24 alloy steel.

India and ASEAN are universally acknowledged formidable and strongly emerging trading regions, comprising one of the most trade intensive entities in Asia and the world. Due to the mutual efforts of India and ASEAN to increase bilateral trade ties, trade between India and ASEAN has witnessed multi-fold increase since 1992 and achieved an intense trading partnership. The study finds that trade in manufactured goods between India and ASEAN forms the most significant component of India-ASEAN bilateral trade. The present study focuses on various technology levels in trade of manufactured goods between the partners. The analysis various tools and techniques to study India-ASEAN trade in manufactured goods at technology levels, such as trade composition analysis, trade intensity index, revealed comparative advantage, intra-industry trade, finger-kreinin index, the augmented gravity model of trade and trade potential analysis. Based on the findings of the objectives through the applied research methodologies, the thesis highlights pertinent policy implications and recommendations which can be instrumental for the future of India-ASEAN bilateral trade.

The book focuses on the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and its impact on member farmers of Gram Panchayats in the Anand, Vadodara, and Kheda districts of the middle Gujarat region in India. The authors purposedly selected five parents, six government officials, and five business owners to share their insights on the role of community and stakeholders in collaborating with the schools to battle against the learning lag brought about by the pandemic. Recommendations to parents, community officials, non-government organizations, and education sector were laid down near the end of the book.

The last article builds a visual model of special relativity and shows its role in scientific knowledge.

The book focuses on the perception and attitude of farmers towards low-cost greenhouse technology in Navsari District of South Gujarat, considering the importance of agriculture and the potential benefits of protected cultivation in diverse agro-climatic conditions. The objectives include studying the personal profile of respondents, assessing their perception, measuring knowledge levels, studying attitudes, exploring associations between variables, and gathering opinions for strategy formulation.The findings contribute to understanding the potential for protected cultivation in enhancing agricultural productivity and the need for strategic interventions. The recommendations based on farmer opinions offer practical guidance for policymakers and agricultural extension services to promote the adoption of low-cost greenhouse technology in the region.

Investigations were carried out to evaluate the efficacy of different insecticides by different methods of application as title under "Chemigation versus foliar application for management of pest complex of Cowpea (Vigna unguiculata L.Walp) under South Gujarat conditions¿ at Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari during summer2018. The results revealed that aphid (Aphis craccivora Koch.) population started from 4thweek of March i.e. 13th SMW with 0.56 aphid index, increased continuously and reached to a peak level of 3.0 aphid index during 3rd week of May; jassid (Empoasca kerri Pruthi) population started from 3rd week of March (12th SMW) with 0.26 jassid/ 3 leaves/ plant and reached to a peak level of (4.66 jassids/3 leaves/ plant) in 8th week after sowing i.e. 5th week of April. (19thSMW) whereas whitefly (Bemisia tabaci Genn.) population started 1stWAS i.e. 3rd week of March (12th SMW) with 0.66 whitefly/3 leaves/Plant and reached to a peak level of 4.06 whiteflies per 3 leaves/ plant during 7th WAS in 1st week of May (18th SMW). The incidence of cowpea pod borer, (Helicoverpa armigera Hubner) initiated from 5thWAS i.e. 3rd week of April (16th SMW).

Infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Human immunodeficiency virus remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality globally. In Cameroon, TB is also of public health concern with an incidence and a mortality rate of 194 and 30 for 100,000 people, respectively, with predominance of female sex. We live in a world where oil, gas and coal reserves are running out. This statement may be sad, but it is good news because the high consumption of these fuels has accelerated the process of global warming. Unfortunately, since about 80-90% of the energy needed in the whole world is provided by fossil fuels, it is not possible to reduce their consumption overnight. But there is a question: what can be done now that renewable energies such as solar or wind energy cannot play the main role in the field of energy supply? One solution is to shift some of our power plants to different systems called Combined Heat and Power (CHP). The simultaneous production of electricity and heat provides the possibility of better efficiency than fossil fuels for providing energy with about 15-40% energy storage. These power plants perform well both in terms of cost reduction and environmental impact reduction.

Anti-infective periodontal therapy includes both mechanical and chemotherapeutic approaches to minimize or eliminate microbial biofilm (bacterial plaque), a known primary etiologic factor of gingivitis and periodontitis. Since most patients are not skilled in adequate plaque removal, many clinicians currently include one or more adjunctive chemotherapeutic agents in their nonsurgical anti-infective regimen. Adjunctive antimicrobials can be used either systemically or locally. During the past two decades, dentists and microbiologists have embraced periodontal antibiotic therapy as a powerful adjunct to conventional mechanical debridement for therapeutic management of periodontal diseases. This book reviews the indications and protocols for optimizing the use of anti-infective agents during the treatment of periodontal diseases.

Also, the construction and working, applications, and new advances related to the ejectors. Furthermore, it is observed that there is a special need to investigate various aspects of the ejector. This unethical practice compromises the quality and safety of food, posing health risks to consumers. Adulterants can include chemicals, dyes, preservatives, and contaminants, added to various food items. Motives for adulteration are often financial, leading to cost-cutting or product enhancement. Governments enforce measures such as quality standards and testing to detect and prevent adulteration, but it remains a persistent challenge. Addressing food adulteration requires ongoing efforts and collaboration between authorities, producers, and consumers.
