In 1990 Sun Microsystems decided to develop special software that could be used to manipulate consumer electronic devices. A team of Sun Microsystems programmers headed by James Gosling was formed to undertake this task.Java is a general-purpose object oriented programming language developed by Sun Microsystems of USA in 1991, it was originally called OAK by James Gosling and his team. The team, known as Green Project team by Sun, demonstrated the application of their new language to control a list of home appliances using a hand-held device with a tiny touch sensitive screen.Java was designed for the development of software for consumer electronic devices like TVs, VCRs, toasters and such other electronic machines. This goal had a strong impact on the development team to make the language simple.

The aim of our book is to have an insight on how inventory management and supply chain management is done through an ERP package. For this purpose we have chosen MS DYNAMICS AX as our ERP package. Our work is aimed at learning how an ERP package works, by taking up the example of two main modules namely inventory management and supply chain management. Majorly our work starts from why we have opted to take up this study to the basic concepts of ERP which included the various ERP package which are existent, the various ERP modules, and the very need of ERP in the industry. After this we shifted our focus to the implementation of ERP package, for this again we chose the implementation of MS DYNAMICS AX as its implementation was done. As MS DYNAMICS AX is a client server application, so we focussed on the requirements of both the client side and server side. In addition to this we also focussed at the system requirements for the installation of MS DYNAMICS AX. This was an important study as from this we learnt how exactly implementation of an ERP package is done.

I honestly think atheism is inconsistent with the scientific method. What I mean by that is, what is atheism? It¿s a statement, a categorical statement that expresses belief in nonbelief. ¿I don¿t believe even though I have no evidence for or against, simply I don¿t believe.¿ Period. It¿s a declaration. But in science we don¿t really do declarations. We say, ¿Okay, you can have a hypothesis, you have to have some evidence against or for that.¿ And so an agnostic would say, look, I have no evidence for God or any kind of god (What god, first of all? The Maori gods, or the Jewish or Christian or Muslim God? Which god is that?) But on the other hand, an agnostic would acknowledge no right to make a final statement about something he or she doesn¿t know about. ¿The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence,¿ and all that. This positions me very much against all of the ¿New Atheist¿ guys¿even though I want my message to be respectful of people¿s beliefs and reasoning, which might be community-based, or dignity-based, and so on. The present study is directed towards the preparation of stable polyherbal tablet formulation by using crude drugs of selected medicinal plants. As the highest percentage of the worlds population has been suffering from insomnia (the main reason for aging) in which one of the main reason was anxiety, but the allopathic formulations available in the market like barbiturates and benzodiazepines, which having habit-forming and a lot of side effects and interactions with alcohol and other drugs, there is very much necessary to formulate a formulation which is almost safe and potent without habitual forming nature. Many allopathic formulations are available for sedative and anti-anxiety activity, but they will cause severe side effects and habitual forming, so a formulation that is pharmacologically active and with minimal side effects or without side effects unlike the allopathic drugs, which is possible only by herbs.

The gastrointestinal tract is the largest endocrine gland with reference to number of hormones secreted and the size. The GIT secretes more than 30 hormones and number of bioactive peptides. Somatostatin family include somatostatin and corticostatin. 5. Tachykinin family has substance P and neurokinins as their members. 6. Sri Lanka is a biodiversity hot spot in the world with a remarkable endemicity. It is reported to harbour 1414 medicinal plants in its biodiversity, many of which are endemic or indigenous to Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan traditional medical systems, the ayurveda practiced in Sri Lanka, and the folk medicines indigenous to Sri Lanka depend exclusively on these medicinal plants. There are about 20 different medicinal plants reported to be used in the management of diabetes in the above medical systems in the country. This chapter describes the chemistry, bioactivity, and pharmacology of the ten most used, scientifically validated anti-diabetic medicinal plants in Sri Lanka.

The gears evolution from wood to metal has seen thousands of different applications from heavy artillery catapults to precise gearbox of racing cars. In each era of inventions and developments gear design also experienced so many design modifications to make it the most precise and reliable transmission system any mechanical industry ever had. In this book a gearbox of lathe machine is taken for study. The gears of the lathe machine are considered for the study to typically modify the present gear design to extract better improved results from the same gearbox. The gear design modifications such as inclusion of stress relieving features and mass reducing features are carried out using finite element analysis for improving the bending stresses, contact stresses as well as reducing the mass of the gears while keenly observing their effect on development of stresses in the gearing system. The analytical as well as finite element analysis results for bending stresses, contact stresses and mass reduction of the geometrically modified gear and present gear is presented with the comparative analysis among them. An active graphical interface based on Visual Basic is also developed.

After nine preceding sets of practical exercises laid forward in preceding manuscripts, I have inspired from my core ICT academic and research experience to produce this manuscript. For each exercise, a share of analysis is required to develop thinking and critical/professional abilities. Most exercises are devised for computers/laptops along with currently trending smart phones/tablets. This Book consists of the study of the evolution of the durability of sand concrete containing two mineral additions (crushed dune sand and nano-silica (NS)) in four storage media (free surface, plastic film, tap water and ground water).The potential negative effects of adding these alternative materials can be reduced by adding nanosilica to the cementitious system at very low quantities. This study evaluates the feasibility of using these alternative materials and nanösilica (NS) in producing lightweight aggregate concretes .The first step of our study is the characterization of the constituents used in the perfection of the sand concrete, then we study the effect of the additions of nanösilica (NS)with a percentage of 2% and dune sand powder from the region of Ouargla (5%, 10%) and the combination between two additions (2%NS+5%SDP; 2% NS +10%SDP). Thus, tests of flexural and compressive strength at 7, 28, 90 and 120 days are carried out in order to estimate and evaluate the durability. The results obtained in this experimental study allow us to say that sand concrete with 5SDP 2 NS or 10SDP 2 NS has a stable compressive strength after 90 days in tap water and groundwater.

The persistence of gender imbalance in Africa is linked to factors that are cultural, biological, behavioural and religious in nature. Discrimination against women exists in various sectors like education, career choices, health sector, employment and labour market. Albeit, there are various movements against the marginalization of women in African societies. This study is examined gender imbalance with a major focus on comparing and analysing the situation in the two selected countries of study which are Nigeria and Ghana.

The man's interest as a male in Saudi Arabian novels during the last decade has entrapped the Saudi Arabian women writers and this interest has probably harmed their experience in novel-writing. It has made some Saudi Arabian women writers think that it is easy to write novels that depend on revealing the hidden at the expense of artistic aesthetics and narrative form and structure of the novel. The novel of al-Akarun/ The Others is considered one of the most exciting novels in the Arab society in general.

Trauma affects the health of individuals and communities across the globe. Historically, approaches to addressing trauma incorporated the physical body. However, the Cartesian mind-body split in the 1600s effectively siloes trauma treatment to the realm of the mind, ignoring the body. Traumatology research challenges this body erasure and recognizes that trauma is linked to and held in the body. There is a bidirectional and cross-disciplinary gap between research and somatic practice approaches to trauma. This phenomenological study aimed to address this gap and explore the lived experiences of practitioners across various disciplines who work with trauma using somatically focused modalities. Feminist theory was used as a broad theoretical framework for this study, and polyvagal theory served as an explanatory theory.

The study of nonassociative rings has yielded many interesting results in algebra. The results on nonassociative rings in which one does assume commutators in the nucleus have been scattered throughout the literature. Many sufficient conditions are well known under which a given nonassociative ring becomes associative.Throughout this work a ring R is a synonym for a nonassociative ring, that is one in which the associative law of multiplication is not necessarily true and which does not have a unit element.In this work we present some properties of nonassociative rings, namely weakly standard rings, assosymmetric rings, accessible rings and antiflexible rings in which commutators are in the nucleus .We prove the associativity of the above rings. Also, we study right alternative rings by assuming that commutators are in the left or right nucleus and prove the associativity and alternativity of right alternative rings.
