While benign tumours remain localised, malignant tumours spread, causing metastasis and tissue damage. Cancer is a major global health threat, with 18.1 million new cases expected by 2020. This represents the grief of countless families and communities who lose loved ones. Current escalating risk factors, such as pollution and unhealthy lifestyles, are predicted to increase cancer deaths by 47% by 2040 compared to 2020, underscoring the need for effective preventive measures. Factors that increase the risk of cancer include exposure to chemicals, unhealthy habits, genetics and the presence of free radicals that damage DNA. However, our bodies defend themselves against these radicals with antioxidants, which are abundant in natural foods. Understanding which foods have anti-cancer properties is crucial. This book takes an in-depth look at understanding cancer, its risk factors, and the preventive and therapeutic potential of certain foods.

With regards to different levels of management through fertilizers, application of 200 kg ammonium sulphate/ha recorded later emergence of broomrape and significantly lower broomrape dry weight. Among different levels of management through herbicides, application of glyphosate @ 1 kg/ha recorded later emergence of broomrape. Whereas significantly lower weed dry weight and broomrape dry weight were registered with application of pendimethalin @ 1 kg/ha and manual removal, respectively.

The Zirconia-based ceramic composites are widely used in the Automobile and Aerospace sectors because of their High-end mechanical properties such as improved hardness, durability, and strength characteristics. Many researches show that the machining of these composites is much harder than the traditional machining processes. Even though the machining was done but ended up with an unfinished surface finish, overcut, a high rate of tool wear, less material removal rate, huge time consumption, and damages. These difficulties become a great challenge to industrialists and researchers. As a part of this issue, more research was carried out to find the best machining process for the machining of these Zirconia-silicon-based composites and revealed that the perfect machining of such composites is still an incomplete task. However, some research shows that unconventional machining processes are giving a considerable improvement in the machining of Zirconia composites. Hence, this study investigates the suitability of the Electro-Chemical Discharge Machining process for the machining of Zirconia and Zirconia Silicon Nitride Composite.

In this book, an attempt is made to analyze the heat transfer effects on Newtonian fluid flows. The book is divided into five chapters. Chapter I is a two dimensional steady flow problem. Chapters II, III, IV and V are two-dimensional unsteady flow problems. The flow problem presented in chapters I is solved analytically and obtained closed form solutions. The flow problem presented in Chapters II and IV are solved by Analytical Techniques. The perturbation technique is used to obtain the solutions of the flow problems described in chapters III & V. The graphs and tables are presented by using software MATLAB.

The unique properties of epoxy polymers have led to their wide application in various fields of modern technology. The properties of epoxy polymers, depending on the requirements imposed on them, can be widely varied by using various initial components, hardeners, fillers for their synthesis. The scientific novelty of the work consisted in the synthesis of a number of new, undescribed in the literature glycidyl ethers and epoxy polymers based on them, in the study of the kinetic laws of the formation of epoxy polymers based on polycyclic bisphenols of the norbornane type. New hardeners are proposed: acid anhydrides with norbornane groups, silicon-containing diamines, novolacic oligomers. For the successful synthesis of epoxy polymers, it was necessary to study the mechanism and patterns of their formation, which was successfully implemented in this work, and the results of the study are fully presented in the monograph. The resulting epoxy polymers can practically be used as binders of self-lubricating antifriction plastics, high-temperature dielectrics, fiberglass, adhesives, varnishes with increased thermal and heat resistance and good physical and mechanical properties.

Salma, once close to his heart, is now distant, and the poet reflects on how their connection allowed for discussions of his needs and secrets. However, he resolves to move on from Salma, metaphorically throwing away his feelings. Throughout the poem, the poet employs striking imagery to depict the turmoil within his heart, as emotions scatter in various directions. He conveys the idea that even if he were to seek solace in other relationships, they could never replace what he had with Salma. Al-Akhtal skillfully employs desert and nature-related imagery, such as Syrian winds, thunder, rain, and references to animals like gazelles and locusts, to create a vivid backdrop for the emotional narrative. The poem also introduces characters like "Sister of Falaah" and "Hurrat," whose beauty and allure add depth to the poem's themes. The poem concludes with references to capturing adversaries.

The family of extracellular ligninolytic enzymes typically includes lignin peroxidases laccases, manganese peroxidases, versatile peroxidases and other accessory enzymes. Out of these enzymes MnP is thought to play the most crucial role in lignin degradation. Manganese peroxidase, is an ubiquitous enzyme among ligninolytic fungi, is an extracellular heme- containing enzyme known to catalyse the oxidation of Mn2+ to Mn3+ in a reaction requiring appropriate manganese chelator. This enzyme catalysis the oxidation of Mn2+ to Mn3+, which in turn can oxidize a variety of phenolic substrates, including lignin model compounds 3 fungi were isolated from soil samples from different regions in Bangalore. Isolated fungal strains were screened for Manganese peroxidase production by plate assay. Aspergillus sps VV01 were selected as best Manganese peroxidase producer.

To summarize this study, it took a long journey exploring the challenges and support strategies for single parenting families in Liberia. It established the problem and discussed the objectives of the research which normally aim to solve societal problems. The study has its limitations, and it was delimited to put the writings in context, especially as a case study for the impact of social and economic challenges and support strategies for single-parenting families. The writings of authors in support of the topic under discussion were useful for the purpose of literature review. From the study, a conclusion is drawn to give meaning to the research having met its purpose of proposing recommendations to mitigate issues embedded within.

In rural India the contamination of water by nitrite is profound. Cost- effective and safe water treatment methods are required to remove nitrite from water. A nitrite is regulated in drinking water quality primarily because excess amount can cause methemoglobinemia (also known as blue baby syndrome) disease. The fresh water contains 3% in the worldwide. Human and industrial activities produce and discharge wastes containing nitrite metal into the water resources making them polluted and threatening human health and ecosystem. Conventional methods for the removal of nitrite metal ions such as chemical precipitation and membrane filtration are more expensive when treating large amounts of water, inefficient at low concentrations of metal and generate large quantities of sludge and other toxic products that require careful disposal. Bio-sorption is eco-friendly and alternative methods for treatment of waste-water. These methods have advantages over conventional methods because it has a lower cost, easily available and reused. The present work studies the feasibility use of neem leaf, custard apple leaf, guava leaf, mango tree leaf and banana peel as a biosorbent in removal.

The present investigation entitled ¿Evaluation of crop simulation modelling through DSSAT and statistical model in the yield prediction of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars of eastern U.P.¿ was carried out during rabi 2015-16 and rabi 2016-17 at Agromet Research Farm, N. D. University of Agriculture & Technology, Narendra Nagar (Kumarganj), Ayodhya (U.P.). The experiment consisted of Randomized Block Design (RBD) at nine treatment combinations and four replications comprised of three sowing dates viz., Ist date of sowing on Nov 15 (D1), IInd date of sowing on Nov 25 (D2) and IIIrd dates of sowing on Dec 05 (D3) and three varieties viz., PBW-343 (V1), PBW-502 (V2) and HD-2967 (V3). Wheat is a cool-season crop. Cool-weather during vegetative development and warm weather for maturity is deemed ideal for wheat. The minimum growth temperature for wheat is 3-40C, the optimum temperature is about 250C, and the maximum from about 30-320C. Warm temperature during the early growth of wheat may retard heading.

Madhumeha (T2 DM), a syndrome, can be a crippling condition that gets worse with time. If left untreated or improperly managed condition almost always attacks many vital systems. It is elaborately described since ancient age and its incidence is increasing day by day because of erratic lifestyle and diet leading to obesity followed by Madhumeha along with their complications.The major micro vascular complications are diabetic retinopathy, diabetic nephropathy and diabetic neuropathy are studied in this work.

The leading cause of pediatric OSA is typically the enlargement of the tonsils and adenoids, although factors like obesity, craniofacial abnormalities, or neuromuscular conditions can also contribute. Children with OSA often exhibit symptoms such as loud snoring, frequent breathing pauses during sleep, restless nights, and daytime sleepiness. If left untreated, pediatric OSA can lead to various health complications, including developmental delays, cardiovascular problems, and behavioral issues. Diagnosis involves a comprehensive assessment, including medical history, physical examination, and sleep studies. Treatment options range from adenotonsillectomy and continuous positive airway pressure therapy to weight management and orthodontic appliances, with regular follow-up appointments essential for monitoring progress. Timely intervention is crucial for improving a child's quality of life.

Ankle joint is one of the highly evaluated joint in individuals with type 2 diabetes. As diabetes affects both, contractile as well as non-contractile structures, alteration in strength, mobility, endurance and stiffness around ankle is frequently reported. This changes ultimately leads to functional impairments such as abnormal gait pattern, early fatigability, altered balance and increased plantar pressure at some points of sole which elevates the risk of formation of plantar ulcers. The rates of amputation has increased as a result of inability to effectively treat these plantar ulcers, hence hampering individual¿s quality of life. The understanding of level of impairments at ankle joint would help us to guide us for planning prophylactic exercise program to prevent further disabling complications of diabetes around the ankle and maintain the quality of life of diabetics. So, this study aimed to measure and compares the ankle joint range of motion and record electrical activity of ankle muscles during MVIC in patients with long term type 2 diabetes and healthy controls.The presented study was conducted by authors at DVVPFs College of Physiotherapy, Ahmednagar.

ABSTRACTThe study investigated Management of Child Abuse and Students¿ Academic Achievement in Public Secondary Schools in Akwa Ibom State. Three research questions were raised and the three null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. The design of the study was ex-post facto survey. The population comprised 2838 SSII students in the sampled public secondary schools in AkwaIbom State. Multistage sampling technique was used to select the sample size of 500 students. A researcher-developed instrument, ¿Management of Child Abuse Questionnaire¿ (MCAQ) validated by experts, was used to gather the data. The reliability co-efficient of the instrument was determined using the Cronbach Alpha.The reliability index of 0.83 was obtained. The mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while the independent t-test was used to test the hypotheses at .05 alpha levels. The findings of the study reveal that there is significant difference in student¿s academic achievement based on parents¿ teachers and guidance counsellors¿ effectiveness in the management of child abuse.

The Barmakids (Persian: ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ Barmakiyân; Arabic: ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ al-Bar¿mikah), also spelled Barmecides, were an influential Iranian family from Balkh, where they were originally hereditary Buddhist leaders (in the Nawbahar monastery), and subsequently came to great political power under the Abbasid caliphs of Baghdad. Khalid, the son of Barmak, became the chief minister (vizier) of Al Saffah, the first Caliph of the Abbasid dynasty. His son Yahya aided Harun al-Rashid in capturing the throne and rose to power as the most powerful man in the Caliphate. The Barmakids were remarkable for their majesty, splendor and hospitality. They are mentioned in some stories of the One Thousand and One Nights.
