It was their biggest day of the year. It was the day of the homecoming game for UMASS and everyone was going. I didn't even go to school there and was going to the tailgate. Everyone was going. It was going to be the kind of day we'll be talking about for the rest of our lives. To the people who went to school there this was bigger than their own birthday's. For me this was all about running into the girl I've spent my whole life dreaming about. It was the biggest day of the year.

Life takes us by suprise and quite frankly words are not enough to express the every day struggles we all go through. The book is about pushing through the challenges and fighting the demons head on. Most of the poems relate to mental health and others are just there as a break for the mind. Enjoy!

What if half of them are going through what I've been through in life. Why not express my views and feelings in hopes it reaches someone who has endured the same trauma and helps them to see things differently. My poems are derived from being a single mother, to being molested, abused, and even losing two children due to gun violence the worst of them all. I'm sure a lot of you can relate and if not you definitely know of someone who can. This is what life is, this is living in your authentic self, this is not sugar coating a fantasy. Every poem was written with lots of pain, tears, and love. Again I have a story to tell and this is just the beginning.""
