This guidebook provides information on 30 short walks (under three hours) around Piran, along the Slovenian coast and hinterland, that comprises the Slovenian part of the Istrian peninsula. The region is a good destination for walking as there are great coastal views to be had, beautiful villages to be visited and the weather, in Summer, is consistently warm and sunny. The book includes information on walk starting and finishing points, distance covered, difficulty, terrain, things to see, public transport access, navigation and detailed route notes.

Samuel Hahnemann was a German physician who created and introduced homeopathy, a system of alternative medicine which claims that a substance which causes diseases in some individuals can cure it in others.Writing in the early 19th century, Hahnemann set out the principles of homoeopathic medicine in a total of 297 aphorisms. Each of these discussed the various attributes of healing that underpin homeopathy as a method of curing. The notion of 'miasms' as the origin and cause of all chronic disease, and how such can be alleviated, is elaborated upon by the author.Today, homeopathy has been widely discredited, with its methodology and teachings contrasted with established discoveries in biology and chemistry. Numerous studies of homeopathy's efficacy have shown that the results of treatment are no better than placebo. This is the first dictionary of Seychelles Creole to focus upon translation into English. Seychelles Creole is the mother tongue of Seychellois and the language is strongly promoted by the Seychelles Government. However, the government also recognises the global importance of English and schools teach students the language to a high degree of competence. Today, Creole remains the language most commonly used in the home and between Seychellois in all situations. However, most Seychellois are very competent in English. A reasonable command of both languages is extremely useful in Seychelles.

Progression is a positive trait, as long as one keeps in touch with the past and has a staple backdrop to focus or fall back on. Although the Revised Expanded Third Edition contains all the wording and photographs that are reproduced in both the first edition, as well as this Revised and Expanded Second Edition, it comparatively represents a step into what was, for these latter two books, the future. The year 2019, in which I am writing this foreword, represents respectively 30 years and 20 years into the future since the publication of these two books, so I think this faithful reproduction of the Master Version by Q&I Publications is well timed. For some readers it might bring about nostalgia, for others it might be an eye-opener into a world that is not always truthfully represented, due to commercial or other reasons. For the teachers who I interviewed and have been embodied herein, I hope this Master Version will remain a testament into how they wished to be represented for time immemorial.
