But the encounter reveals a reality for which he could never have prepared himself and a crisis far worse than could have been dreamed of. Unless the hidden galaxy of the Pfafth is returned to normal Space and Time, all of the Universe could become unstable and break apart. Mickie is faced with the ultimate choice between his own life and that of his entire species.

Then the Pfafth begin to reveal themselves and as more is learnt about the million year-old war between the Pfafth and the Sillaron, Mickie is confronted by the truth of what happened to his people and why they fled to a Space outside of Space and a Time outside of Time. Now he must contact them and save the entire species from destruction by a merciless enemy. This is the second book in the Mickie Dalton Trilogy.

The hunt for an extraordinary treasure goes to Italy and then back to Australia and Charlotte finally realises her dream when Vladimir Ashkenazy leads her out to the stage of the Sydney Opera House to play the solo part in the Elgar Cello Concerto to a packed house.
