The main character is Young Buck, which was also Mike's nickname at Stanford. A former attorney, he is now a playwright and stage actor. He performed his one-man play, The Disappearing Quarterback (also available in audiobook format), 50 times in Philadelphia and Denver.

Looking back to all that occurred to me since that eventful day, I am scarcely able to believe in the reality of my adventures. In my mind, they were cheering for me as a future quarterback for Stanford. That was my vision. It was from God. I could feel it. From that day forward I knew that I was going to be an All American quarterback for Stanford.
