Nacho NovoWhen I left Spain for my Scottish adventure back in 2001, I could not have dreamt just how my career would take off. Six great years I spent at Rangers, making friends for life on and off the pitch. Yes, I won a league medal, scored the winning goal in a cup final, scored against Celtic and the winning penalty to take us to Manchester. However, what now gives me the greatest pleasure, is not only the memories, but knowing I am now a fan myself. I will be celebrating 55 like the rest of the Bears. Once a Ranger, always a Ranger.Robie Ferguson, GlasgowMy first away trip abroad was to Bilbao in 1969, in the Fairs Cup. Since then, my love for Rangers has taken me on over 200 trips all over Europe, South Africa, USA, Canada & Australia. From cup games to pre-season friendlies and tours, I have made good friends all over the world. Every trip has been an adventure following The Rangers.Ross McGill, Union BearsOur club and support really are second to none, and this experience at the time (in Leipzig) was a taster for the younger generation of trips to come and a bit of hope for our entire support, that natural order would one day be restored, and we would be back in Europe, following our club and at the top of Scottish football once again. Thankfully we are now there and 55 has been achieved. We are back....

An age-old approach has quietly been addressing the issues confronting the human condition. An approach that in our science-driven world we have almost forgotten, the heart of the Gospel message. It can no longer be ignored. Our mental and emotional health and well being are being constantly challenged and even under threat, accelerated by the rapid changes to our daily lives brought on by the recent 2020 global pandemic. Times are uncertain. The future is no longer as clear. Therapy has gained rapid traction, promoted as the best evidence-based alternative to medication for addressing the increasing mood and anxiety disorders we are experiencing. While therapeutic approaches have merits in helping to modify or adapt our ways of thinking and behaving, therapy alone cannot fully address the root issues that affect us all. The purpose of this book is two-fold. The first is to explain why therapeutic approaches tend to fall short of effecting lasting change. The second is an attempt to share fresh insights into why the Gospel message is more relevant to us today, the only true therapy for the human soul.

'The events of the morning make me feel dizzy and lightheaded, as if after a morning's exercise in the hot sun: a montage of disordered images in vibrant colours... flood my mind: cheering women waving placards with abandon, photographers with flashing cameras that blind you; a friend, cornered like an animal, ... full of loathing; a bearded crow in black robes circling the high ceilings in Court Number Three; a pair of doors swinging shut; a female hunter in a canary-yellow jacket, ... and a pair of legal lovebirds! And Bunchee Golding! ... who must have melted a jury's heart! ... the one person in the world I'd most like to kill. The one person in the world who doesn't know that by tea-time Thursday, she's going to be dead.'

Yorkshire 2035 - The New assembly, is the final book in The Yorkshire Trilogy, completing the journey from feasibility study (Yorkshire, The Case For Independence), through gaining a degree of recognition (Yorkshire 2027, A Strategy For Tomorrow) to finally achieving influence. The book picks up from 2027, a time when the ruling party's majority was slim and they were either over-ruled on new legislation or proved themselves quite incapable of managing a collapsing economy, artificial intelligence and crumbling infrastructure. The political cycle was turning from a period of negative decisions (you can't do that) and excessive documentation (we have a plan - several plans) to a time when experimentation, innovation and novelty at last escaped from the bottle and a new period of positive activity began - and now with Yorkshire at the forefront. The story is of Yorkshire rising above the chaos and ineptitude of Westminster to create its own assembly, a written constitution and a local currency; activities that served as the foundation stones of a system that embraced and developed a vibrant and challenging future. A movement that restored dignity, liberty and freedom to the people of Yorkshire - at last shaking off a detached elite, languishing some 200 miles away in London. Join in. Enjoy.

John Stonehouse was an ambitious politician who became the youngest MP of that time and soon promoted to a cabinet position. He was an idealist, an attribute of his mother, whose selfless support of life's victims took its toll on Stonehouse's childhood. Her attention falling upon the refugees from the Spanish civil war rather than her own children. His own desire to help people who had no other support manifested itself in Africa in his fight against colonialism and in Bangladesh where he was instrumental in securing that country's independence. However, these fights took their toll on his mental health. Pressure upon pressure built upon his shoulders as he sacrificed his personal businesses to help the Bengalis establish a bank for their people. Resistance from the establishment, lack of support from his beloved Labour Party and hounding by the press led him on a path towards a breakdown. Prescription drugs and the sense of isolation forced him into a series of tragic decisions culminating in the faking of his own death in order to escape. Escape documents the events leading up to that fateful decision highlighting the pressures put upon him and highlights why he made certain decisions. It also compares the environment within which Stonehouse lived and asked whether it has advanced in the last 50 years. David Stead was born into a working-class Yorkshire family. This is his sixth published book, but the first non-fiction one. His passion for writing and examining emotion through poetry has been a constant, but applying this approach to an historical event is a new area of exploration.

The wars of the roses were a series of interconnected conflicts between 1455 and 1525 fought at times for the control of the English government and sometimes for the very crown itself. It is perhaps the most well-known topic of all medieval English history to the popular audience. However it is so shrouded in myth that most don't truly understand what the wars were really about. A number of historians have undertaken to disprove these myths. This book aims to continue this work with a written account of the entire period. Furthermore, aspects which are too often forgotten are covered. Included in this is the conflict in the English Lordship of Ireland and the role Wales played in the period. How foreign powers manipulated the conflict in England for their own advantage will be dealt with. Lastly the conflicts post 1485 which are so often neglected will be given the same amount of investigation as everything that happened before.

Pu Songling (1640-1715), of the Qing Dynasty, wrote a total of 498 romantic short stories in classic Chinese during 40 years. This is a great miracle in the history of Chinese literature. The writer bravely exposed social contradictions and evils, severely criticized the false, the bad and the ugly, and highly praised the true, the good and the beautiful through his vivid stories about the ghosts, foxes, spirits, monsters, immortals and common people. Pu Songling has been known as "the King of Short Story" in the world together with French writer Guy de Maupassant and Russian writer Anton Chekhov. Lots of his stories have been adapted for films and TV series. His book has not only been widely renown in China, but also attracted many foreign readers. So far, there are more than twenty foreign versions for parts of these stories, including English, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, etc. Among the famous Chinese classical books, this book has the most foreign language translations. Now Mr. Wang Chaolin and Miss. Wang Guanqun have ventured to translate all the stories from Pu Songling's work into English and then dedicated this complete translated version to the reading public.
