Ask Me, I'm Mr. What is the second book in a series of five. This book is an easy "e;read-aloud"e; book that is intended to have children recognize words that are familiar to them. "e;What"e; is one of the questions children always ask about objects and things they come across. This book also plans to initiate the awareness of colors and shapes through items they recognize through their everyday experiences. It is the second "e;must read-aloud"e; book in the series of five.

Why heritage language development?The need for proficiency in heritage language across the world cannot be overemphasized. United States has an unprecedented need for individuals with highly developed language competencies not only in English but also in many other languages. In fact, the need for individuals with proficiency in languages other than English in social, economic, diplomatic, and geopolitical arenas has been higher. To meet the demand for professionals skilled in languages, a strategy is needed for developing the untapped reservoir of linguistic competence. Majority of African parents are finding it extremely difficult in transmitting their ethnic group language to their younger ones born overseas in the absence of educational support necessary to impact heritage language to their kids. This book seeks to alleviate the problem. It has been said that man attained the level of self-awareness when he began to inquire into his own identity.

Alyn, along with his two flatmates, were on track to graduate college at the end of the semester, entering the real-life responsibilities of adulthood. Openly differentiated on personal situations regarding work, class, and relations, they were always there for one another throughout the years. Rather than following the landscape, Alyn sought out for an adventure and was primed as he ran across a girl at a concert. Though not as simple of a task as he originally sought, as tethered flirtations incurred, Alyn found an outlet for his agenda, though through a trek that could manifest in mental and physical dire toward others along the venture to South Padre Island for an exciting spring break getaway. Coercing his brother to assist, hoping a childhood friend could prevent a volatile family recurrence. A tale of college kids and Greek-life siblings and lifelong friends who intertwined their journeys as they all chased their own desires, love and betrayal, secrets and deceit, hope and despair.Yearning to venture toward a piece of potential paradise with their own personal burdens to bear, demons within desire, questioning their self-aptitude of consciousness. Though the trip was one person's journey, all those who entangled themselves brought with them their own perceptions of reality, not understanding that a switch of fate's fuse was ignited.

This book of poetry is a compilation of memories and reflections of the author's journeys. As a young teacher/librarian, she took a journey leaving the mountains of West Virginia and traveling to the eastern plain of North Carolina to teach at East Carolina University. Some of her poems look back to her days in West Virginia, and others reflect on her life in Eastern North Carolina.Journeys are not only taken in cars and jets but are also realized through the psyche, the mind, and spirit. In Elle's upbringing, sexual abuse and rape was something not to be exposed, never discussed, and conditional. She remained quiet in fear of retaliation from another relative or the offender himself. Never mind how Elle feels or the residual lifelong problems and concerns that follow. Covering up failures, mistakes, and protecting the guilty was key. Becoming conscious of the absolute fact that sexual and drug abuse are interrelated, Elle's raging thoughts felt like she was up against a gargantuan obstacle. And as for Elle's experience, the guilty blames and dismisses the raped and sexually abused child and continues diminishing her as she grows into adulthood while accusing Elle as the mother of her own child, Megan, for that child's addiction! Her thoughts merged as her tumultuous, traumatic, and abusive childhood predisposed Elle to herself a lifetime of drug abuse and desolation. However, and persistently, Elle proved a powerful exceptional opposite to be true.

You found something that should not be, like a book that could read to you or a tree that could talk. This is something like that happening. Brian was in a flood and ran into a graveyard to get out of the water. He started to climb a tree when he fell. He came to somewhere he did not know, and things started to happen to him in there. Things would just be there and would come out of nowhere. He found something in there, and it told him some things. He had to solve the mystery before the sun went down, or he would get thrown out of where he was. That is where this story starts, as well as all he has to do with the new things he finds. His guide helps him on his way and gives him something he wants for a long time--meaning to his life and people to care for.

Initially, she felt lost and abandoned amid grief and loneliness among many fears. She knew that she was not alone for there was someone there in the darkness with her. How could this be?, she would often ask herself. She knew that family and friends were holding her hands, rather in person or spiritually. They were there but not like the presence sitting beside her. The love she felt surrounding her led her through that darkness onto a pathway she had yet to explore--one that allowed her to build a successful career, to reconnect with a lost love, to become entangled in an inappropriate relationship, to forgiveness. Letting go of what had been giving her life, was truly a hard act to do.

True love is not magical. It is hard work. When you lose your first love, it haunts you forever. So find love. Hang on to it. Work at it. This is about a young woman's determination to love and be loved. Sometimes you have more than one love: the one you are meant to be with and the one who lives forever in your soul.

When I came to Auburn in 2004, I fell into a gold mine. My coaching career, which at one time looked very promising, had recently reached a dead end. What I found when I got to The Plains was a vast number of very talented but underachieving players with a burning desire to succeed. Together, as coaches, players, and staff, we developed a selfless majestic synergy that resulted in an undefeated season and, what we believed, would be a ticket to the BCS National Championship game. It wasn't to be. After eighteen years, and several other stops, I retired from coaching but found certain memories never retire. The Auburn Tigers of 2004 will forever represent the pinnacle of my professional career. After traveling to The Plains with my seventeen-year-old son, Cole, to watch the 2021 Iron Bowl, I had an opportunity to reunite with many of the players and fans with whom I shared those memories. Upon my return home, I was inspired by their undying enthusiasm for what was accomplished years ago. I wanted to divulge some interesting stories that haven't been told, and offer, what I hope, an enlightening perspective from the guy who accounted for the game plans and called the plays.
