Argumentation Theory provides theoretical and methodological foundation of understanding how to use various types of discourse as a means of convincing others. It seems that this theory does not confine itself to English only: it has its roots in various cultures such as Arabic.Argumentation theory has further matured as a discipline. Neoclassical theoretical approaches to argumentation, such as the New Rhetoric and the Toulmin¿s theory, have inspired new developments. Besides, prominent approaches of a more recent date, such as Informal Logic and Pragma-Dialectics, have expanded in various ways.

Ce travail représente une contribution dans le domaine des réseaux adhoc mobiles (MANETs : Mobile Adhoc Networks). Il traite les problématiques de base de cette catégorie de réseaux à savoir : la mobilité et la qualité de service. Un réseau adhoc est formé de différentes unités, appelées noeuds, utilisant des technologies de communication sans fil variées, mais ne construisant, du point de vue de l¿utilisateur, qüun unique réseau local et autonome. Le progrès technologique actuel a favorisé l'émergence de ce type de réseaux. La prolifération des applications de ce type d'architecture a aussi stimulé les axes de recherche relatifs au domaine. Ces recherches tentent de s'adapter aux contraintes du déploiement des MANETs, nous signalons plus précisément : la dynamique et l¿autonomie des noeuds. Dans ce contexte, le développement des solutions protocolaires pour la problématique de la mobilité, devient inéluctable, afin de garantir le bon fonctionnement et la continuité des communications et des sessions sur ce type de réseaux. Une importance similaire doit être accordée à la garantie d¿une fiabilité au profit des applications orientées Multimédia, en termes de disponibilité.....

Increasing trend has been observed in the frequency of disaster related to natural hazards. More alarmingly, the hazards are costlier than ever with the volume of insured losses being quite low in proportion to the overall losses. As much as this phenomenon establishes the need of effective risk reduction; it also sets the stage for working towards resilience as a broader vision and strategy. The concept of ¿en route from risk reduction to resilience¿ can be materialized by a number of means. This book suggests the practice of sustainable livelihood framework, where risk reduction serves merely as a component of the overall resilience.

Le présent travail traite les divers déterminants de l¿alimentation et la thérapie naturelles dans une optique de santé de la population, de l¿environnement et du développement durable. Nous avons extrait l¿état actuel des préférences, des connaissances et aptitude au changement à l¿égard d¿alimentation et de thérapie naturelles à partir des déterminants individuels des choix alimentaires personnels (niveau d¿étude, type de résidence, duré de travail, genre, âge, spécialité, cadre de vie,¿) et les déterminants collectifs, à savoir l¿effet de famille (son niveau d¿étude, sa situation interne et externe, son cadre de vie,¿) en tant que contexte entourant les comportements alimentaires. Les données brutes issues d¿une enquête par questionnaire sont analysées statistiquement par Excel, (ACP, AMC,¿) et d¿autres options du logiciel R.Les résultats ont révélé que les déterminants individuels physiologiques (Perception gustative) et préférences alimentaires (60% de nos choix par appétit), pouvaient expliquer en partie importante le comportement alimentaire, mais qüils ne pouvaient l¿expliquer totalement, étant donné que ce comportement est influencé par les connaissances nutritionnelles.

This new edition presents the essence of decades of experience of teaching engineering mathematics to engineering students of various universities and colleges. It continues the tradition of providing instructors and students with a practical-oriented, step-by-step, logical and easy to understand resource for teaching and learning engineering mathematics. Though necessary theory is employed in outlining definitions, formulas, laws etc., the theory is purposely kept to a minimum to keep the focus on understanding through practical problems solving. The intention has been to introduce all the topics through concrete examples, applications and analogies, instead of abstract theoretical arguments. The first four chapters of this book have been devoted to differential equations whereas each of the later ones is dedicated to boundary value problems, Laplace transform and partial differential equations respectively. Jusqu'aujourd'hui, la reconnaissance de caractères joue un rôle important dans plusieurs domaines tels que l¿authentification de chèques bancaires, l'échange à distance des fichiers informatiques pour les télécommunications, l¿authentification et l'identification des manuscrits, ¿ etc. Elle permet de convertir une image de texte imprimée ou manuscrit en un texte codé par machine. Nombreuses recherches ont été faites durant les dernières années afin d'améliorer le taux de reconnaissance des systèmes de reconnaissance du texte manuscrit Arabe. Plusieurs systèmes ont essayé d'utiliser divers techniques de post-traitement pour la sélection de mot telles que des techniques de votes et d'information contextuelles, ... etc. Dans ce travail, nous présentons une technique de segmentation multi-scans (N-Scans) qui consiste à préparer les différents segments de base. En plus, nous ajoutons un post-processeur puzzle dans le but d'améliorer le taux de reconnaissance du système surtout pour les caractères ambigus. L'approche est testée sur la base du manuscrit Arabe IFN-ENIT. Elle donne des résultats encourageants et ouvre des perspectives dans le domaine de la reconnaissance du texte manuscrit.

Ce livre permettra aux chercheurs, éleveurs, étudiants de comprendre le mécanisme de l¿automatisation de la provenderie grâce aux formules mathématiques. Le logiciel du concentré (CMAV) est en conception et fera l¿objet du deuxième livre.

This paper aims at examining the manifestations of postcolonial Moroccan `Self`-representation(s). Central is the image that Moroccan writers evince about Moroccan identity and culture. Four postcolonial Moroccan novels are analyzed to trace out the Moroccan ¿Self¿-portrayal by means of sketching out the multivocality inherent in these novels. Indeed, the linguistic variety in the choice of the novels is purposefully meant to delineate rhetorical similarities and differences in `Self`-representation. Moroccan `Self'-representation is characterized by ambivalent viewpoints. The study tries to answer the following questions: Is `Self`-representation possible? What does it really involve? How does it imbricate with power relations, gender, colonial epistemic violence, postcolonial inferiority complex , and post-independence disillusionment?

Prolactin and cortisol hormones are taking over this duty to suppress the secretion of testosterone hormone during stressful weathers. Testosterone hormone is the key of male libido and normal spermatogenesis process. To induce this effect, we used bromocriptine, a prolactin secretion inhibitor, and dexamethasone to resembling the effect of cortisol hormone.

Dans le cadre de ce travail, nous avons élaboré et caractérisé du point de vue structurale, morphologique, optique et électrique des couches minces de ZnO. D'après tous ces résultats, nous avons pu obtenir une meilleure reproductibilité pour réaliser des films de ZnO présentant des propriétés intéressantes pour être utilisé comme couche fenêtre dans les cellules solaires en couches minces. De nouvelles perspectives sont envisageables pour ce matériau à savoir le dopage par d¿autres éléments tels que l¿indium, le gallium¿ qui permettrait non seulement d¿améliorer ses propriétés optiques mais aussi électriques ; ce qui contribuerait à améliorer également la conversion photovoltaïque.

Although there is a general agreement among biology scholars, that growth can be simply defined as increase in size due to self-multiplication of the living substance, but the term development is perceived in different ways.
