This book highlights clear multicultural and multi-intellectual common concerns between Arab-American writers and colleagues from the Western World, particularly from the United States, and Britain. These concerns are related to issues narrating multiculturalism, transcendentalism, cross-cultural approaches to reconciliation and futurism. This was a clear attempt to build an intellectual bridge between East and West, and to capture a glimpse of the spirit of cultural tolerance and dialogue, between the ever existing two poles, since the early twentieth century. This theme is dealt with through literary studies reviewing the issues of writing in English as a necessary language for global communication. It focuses on early writings out of western experiences, and how American transcendentalism could be ¿Orientalized¿. The reader of this book is provided, for the first time, with a comparison between The Book of Khalid and The Prophet. A final concern addressed, as a case study, is the possibility of cross-cultural approaches to reconciliation. This book is one of the few references on the subject of Arab American Literature of the twentieth century.

Sexual concerns are common among patients; however, evidence suggests that these concerns are not appropriately investigated. This book aimed to assess primary care physicians¿ attitudes toward sexual dysfunction, and factors affecting its management. It is necessary for primary care physicians who treat health problems to receive training in the areas of human sexuality and sexual dysfunction so they can give more comprehensive treatment. A considerable number of patients with a variety of sexual dysfunctions are frequently encountered, in the face of lack of training at both undergraduate and postgraduate education. So, this book tries to provide some basis to understand and assimilate these sexual health related issues in an organized and scientific approach and hopefully to be better prepared to help patients in a more efficient way. Based on the recommendations from the participants, several steps were undertaken to improve sexual health service in Bahrain.

It mentions the various names given to each herb/crop in the different Arab countries with an introduction about their traditional uses and the folkloric heritage about them, as well as their English and scientific names. However,because most of us have a profound lack of knowledge as to what our bodies need to function properly,therefore,we find ourselves susceptible to all sorts of diseases.Thus,all individuals must know the crops details to maintain their health and disorders. If someone has stomach cramps, looking through this book, he can come to know what crops can be recommended. it is a book of a very wide use, a real ¿book on the table¿, and not something you keep on a shelf.

Cette recherche a une double visée, d¿une part découvrir comment les réseaux sociaux peuvent avoir un effet sur le comportement du consommateur et, d¿autre part, proposer un modèle conceptuel pivotant sur les informations fournies sur les réseaux sociaux et leurs impact sur des différents facettes du comportement du consommateur. Pour atteindre ces objectifs de recherche, nous avons effectué une revue exhaustive de la littérature récente sur le sujet. De plus, nous avons réalisé une première étude exploratoire qualitative où nous avons procédé à des entretiens individuels semi-directifs auprès d¿un échantillon de 20 personnes qui nous a permis de ressortir les concepts fondamentaux de notre recherche. Puis, une deuxième étude quantitative par le biais d¿une enquête par questionnaires administrés face à face et sur les réseaux sociaux auprès d¿un échantillon de 300 utilisateurs des réseaux sociaux qui ont été sélectionné par la méthode de convenance. Afin de tester nos hypothèses nous avons adopté la modélisation par équation structurelle (SEM) avec l¿approche PLS (Partial Least Square).

Cyclosporiasis is an emerging public health concern worldwide which causes gastroenteritis, abdominal pain and weight loss, and is caused by the coccidian protozoan Cyclospora cayetanensis. Over the years, scientists have tried to elucidate its biology and epidemiology but this has been complicated by lack of information on the pathogen¿s origins and animal reservoirs if any do exist for this parasite. Studies have reported three new Cyclospora species reported in the East African non-human primates which are morphologically similar to human C. cayetensis. The African green monkey is susceptible to infection and hence presents a suitable model for studying Cyclospora-like organisms in the laboratory and including association with HIV in the human disease as it harbours Simian immunodeficiency virus. The analysis of clinical, pathological findings of Cyclospora provides new understanding of the disease process. Successful experimental establishment of Cyclospora infection as described in this book therefore provides information that would be very useful to health practitioners for the development and evaluation of therapies and control strategies for HIV and Cyclospora infections.

Le massif de Zaer est considéré comme étant le plus grand et le plus important des plutons granitiques du Maroc central, il est caractérisé par deux faciès principaux, un granite à biotite, dont on distingue deux types différents (NE et SW), et un granite à deux micas. Ces granites possèdent une structure zonée à c¿ur de granite à deux micas, ils sont recoupés par un faciès aplitique, des filons microgranitiques et quartziques, ces derniers sont parfois minéralisés. L¿ensemble de ces faciès est entouré par une auréole de métamorphisme de contact. Le granite à deux micas est connu par sa minéralisation intragranitique, toutefois, le granite à biotite renferme lui aussi une minéralisation, différente de celle du premier. En effet, les indices découverts sont des filons de quartz minéralisés, à taches de malachite et d¿une direction moyenne de N100. L¿indice Rhouirat N¿has, cible de la présente étude, est un filon de 900 m de longueur et de 1 à 3 m de largeur. Il montre une légère hétérogénéité apparente avec des zones plus ou moins oxydées, bréchifiées et d¿autres plus saines et une paragenèse minérale très diversifiée.
