Ce cours de physique nucléaire a été rédigé à l¿intention des étudiants qui préparent, dans le cadre de la réforme L.M.D, une licence dans les domaines des sciences de la matière. Il offre une introduction à la physique contemporaine du noyau. Cet ouvrage est consacré, dans une première partie, à la radioactivité de certains noyaux naturels. De nombreux autres noyaux radioactifs sont fabriqués artificiellement par activation d¿une cible, généralement stable. La radioactivité des noyaux est à la base de nombreuses applications dans divers domaines. Dans une deuxième partie, au processus d¿interaction et les collisions nucléaires. La troisième partie traite l'interaction des rayonnements ionisants et non ionisants avec la matière et les processus de perte d¿énergie dans le milieu qüils traversent. La quatrième partie est dédiée aux réactions nucléaires. Une réaction nucléaire survient quand une particule projectile frappe un noyau cible. Le but des réactions nucléaires est d¿étudier les structures nucléaires et les propriétés des interactions. La dernière partie résume le principe de fonctionnement des principaux détecteurs utilisés dans les expériences de physique nucléaire.

Most of body language researchers, like Mehrabian, a pioneer researcher of body language, confirm that over two-thirds of communication is done non-verbally. Non-verbal communication has different forms, such as hand gestures, facial expressions, etc. Briefly, Hadith (Prophet Muhammad¿s speeches) is a corpus of statements articulated by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) inspired by Allah through the Archangel Jibril, the inspiration angel. It is considered to be a complement of the Noble Qur'an and the second source of Islamic legislation, clarifying some Islamic rules such as the prayer times. Since Hadith is conducted through communication, including non-verbal communication, it is important to shed some light on it. This thesis has shed light on clarifying the significance of hand gestures in some hadiths contextually. Also, it has clarified the impact of different cultures on understanding the significance of the hand gestures.

The technological advances and the massive flood of papers have motivated many researchers and companies to innovate new methods and technologies. They build automatic readers to recognize handwritten documents. In particular, handwriting recognition is very useful technology to support applications like electronic books (eBooks), postcode readers (that sort the mail in post offices), and some bank¿s applications. This book proposed systems to discriminate handwritten graffiti digits and some commands with different architectures and abilities. It introduced three classifiers, namely single neural network (SNN) classifier, parallel neural networks (PNN) classifier and tree-structured (TS) classifier. The three classifiers have been designed through adopting feed-forward neural networks. The back-propagation algorithm has been used to optimize the network¿s parameters (connection weights). Several architectures are applied and examined to present a comparative study about the three systems from different perspectives.

The 2014 Israel ¿ Gaza war was the third since 2008. One-fourth of the total population in Gaza were internally displaced. A humanitarian emergency was declared. Hospitals, health care centres, ambulances, infrastructure and thousands of homes were destroyed or damaged. Necessary medicines and medical supplies were lacking, and people in need could not get out from the fenced enclave. The research presented in this book describes the non-combat mortality during the war and the weeks that followed, as well as the challenges and shortcomings the research entailed.

Tonsillectomy is one of the commonest otolaryngological procedures performed .Multiple reports have demonstrated the safety of ambulatory (outpatient) pediatric Tonsillectomy, however Post-tonsillectomy hemorrhage remains the most serious complication of tonsillectomy. In this work, we analyzed different parameters including patient¿s age, gender, type of surgery ¿Tonsillectomy or Adenotonsillectomy¿, technique ¿Cold dissection or Bipolar¿, evidence of tonsillar bed infection and pre-operative hemoglobin level in two groups of patients indicated for tonsillectomy. One group of 80 patients didn¿t suffer from post tonsillectomy bleeding as a control group; the other of 20 patients having secondary post-tonsillectomy bleeding.

La place et la qualité de la langue française dans les domaines scientifiques en Algérie sont toujours d¿actualité. En effet, dans notre pays et depuis l¿indépendance, plusieurs facteurs peu ou prou influents, tels que la politique d¿arabisation, l¿hégémonie anglo-américaine et la standardisation des langues dialectales (le tamazight), suscitent les sociolinguistes à s¿interroger constamment sur l¿usage des langues dans le pays. Ce travail consiste, d'une part, à évaluer la qualité du français écrit; et d'autre part, à décrire l¿usage des langues dans le domaine de la chimie à l¿aide d¿une enquête par questionnaire. Les résultats des deux enquêtes révèlent que la qualité du français écrit dans les écrits scientifiques est assez correcte étant donné que la place qüil occupe dans les différentes situations de communications qui caractérisent le domaine scientifique.

Of the five human senses, sight has always been considered the most important. Loss of vision due to diseases or trauma causes major changes in the quality of life. Not only is the patient no longer able to perform all the usual tasks and activities to the same extent as previously, but changes in lifestyle, habits, and roles may also result in a serious psychological adjustment; individuals¿ social interaction is also affected. Therefore, the current study aimed to assess some socio-demographic characteristics of patients who had undergone removal of the eye, and to investigate the psychological changes and the quality of life of these patients.

The West¿s contemporary translation of the East has adhered to the same colonial doctrines of earlier times. Postcolonial translation researchers have detected the impact of colonial ideology in terms of strategies of text selection and modes of content rewriting (Lefevere, 1992; Faiq 2004). These two elements are hypothesized to be typical of the translations of Moroccan authors into English. The present study addresses questions about the West¿s unusual interest in translating particular Moroccan authors for translation and the extent to which the translations prove adequately faithful to their originals. Answers are sought along two phases. The first is a biographical and bibliographical survey intended to see into the common ¿self-Orientalising¿ character motivating author selection. The second phase consists in a critical discourse analysis of select passages with the aim to dig out the non-obligatory, ideologically-driven, shifts in the translations. The data is from the parallel versions of the books of three most translated Mooccan authors: Hamoudi, Benjelloun and El Mernissi.

This book has two components; Entomology and remote sensing, which act as a nucleus for further studies in tackling the integration of these two components as a package for monitoring the damage of tree locust on Acacia senegal tree, to be familiar with this subject and its application, it requires knowledge about computer, remote sensing, geographic information technology, ground positioning system and pests science. In this study some questions are raised to be answered: ¿ What are the impacts of tree locust (Anacridium m. melanorhodon) on Gum Arabic production? ¿ Which is the most effective method of remote sensing capable of recognition of tree locust defoliation? ¿ To what extent can remote sensing be a complete substituent to ground surveys? The book aimed to investigate the role of both ground survey and remote sensing in monitoring the damage of tree locust pest that inflected on Acacia senegal tree and it¿s qualitative and quantitative impact on the gum produced

Le Web sémantique est défini par un ensemble de méthodes et de technologies permettant à des agents logiciels de raisonner sur le contenu des ressources du Web. Cette vision du Web dépend de la construction des ontologies et de l¿utilisation de métadonnées pour représenter ces ressources. L¿objectif de notre travail de thèse est d¿annoter sémantiquement des documents balisés et relatifs au même domaine. Ces documents peuvent comporter des parties bien structurées et d¿autres textuelles. Nous supposons disposer d¿une ontologie de domaine définie par des concepts, des relations entre ces concepts et des propriétés. Cette ontologie comporte des métadonnées d¿annotation qui décrivent les objets pédagogiques du domaine. Nous avons défini une approche automatique à base de trois agents intelligents. Un agent d¿extraction qui permet d¿extraire des objets pédagogiques de manière indépendante du domaine et de les aligner aux concepts de l¿ontologie. Un agent d¿annotation défini par un ensemble de règles déclaratives pour annoter les n¿uds et leurs relations. La base d¿annotations RDF(S) construite peut être interrogée à l¿aide de requêtes SPARQL défini dans l¿agent de traitement.
