My book, "Are You Ready," contains six topics which I believe would help as the clear preaching of God's Word, at least in our nation, grows colder and colder. Hopefully, it will motivate all readers to search all the scripture, study it, hide it in their heart, meditate on it, obey it, and live by it.On further reflection I discovered one very important topic was left out. That is God's desire to hear our petitions (prayers) and answer them in accordance with His perfect will. He is our Father; we are His sons. I am convinced we do not receive many of the blessings He offers because we don't ask or really believe He will answer. We know He can, we just don't believe He will. When we do get answers we won't give God the credit and glory that he richly deserves. We shrug it off as coincidence.

The purpose of this book is to make you aware of the dark side of Halloween and show you how the demonic principles and practices are beguiling our children and our culture. I have researched this topic for nearly two decades and there is absolutely no doubt about Halloween's occult connection. Halloween has been the occultists' most effective tool in bewitching America! It has been and is being used by occultists of all stripes to interject their demonic doctrines into our culture.It was 1984 when I released the first printed edition of this book under the title, Halloween: Behind The Mask. It included only 16 pages of information exposing Halloween's occult connection. As a result of that little book, I had the opportunity to present the material in churches, at rallies, in Christian schools and on Christian radio and TV programs. Many people were skeptical at first. To my surprise, some of the most antagonistic people I encountered were pastors and heads of Christian ministries and colleges. Many insisted that I was over reacting and that Halloween was just harmless fun. I must tell you, by and large, that is not the response I am getting today. Indeed "the mask" is off of the unholy day. Witches are out of the "broom closet" and peddling their demonic wares on television, in the newspapers, in the bookstores, and in the public schools. Speaking of the public schools. What is happening in your school district? I get calls from around the nation telling me that the Christian celebrations of Christmas (the birth of Christ) and Easter (the resurrection of Christ) are snubbed, maligned and even expelled from some public schools, but, not the occult holiday of Halloween! That is the public school's biggest holiday. Children are often required to write reports on witchcraft. There are public schools that have even brought in witches to tell about their "wonderful, wholesome" religion. In the public schools, witchcraft is "IN" and Christianity is "OUT." While many Christians are waking up to the dark side of Halloween, Americans in general are increasingly being exposed to occult principles and adopting occult practices. Americans are being bewitched. Now, before I jump too far ahead, let's look at The History, The Heroes and The Harm of Halloween.

This is a 698-page book about the details of the life of Christ on Earth published in 1862 and a revised in 1891. Dr. Solomon Andrews said: "This book was [first] published in 1862. That it has continued in request for so many years, shows at least that it meets a want not otherwise adequately met. It has seemed to me, therefore, little less than a duty carefully to revise it, and to make it, so far as I am able to do, more worthy of the favor it has received. In this revision the character of the book has not been changed. It deals with the life of the Lord on the earth in its chronological, topographical, and historical relations only…In regard to reference to other books and writers, a few words may be said. The Beginning. This book is the seventeenth in a series of verse-by-verse preaching from various New Testamentbooks of the Bible. It is an attempt to bring to the minds of the readers two things: (1) the meaning of the words in the verses, and (2) some practical applications of those words to the lives of both genuine Christians and non-Christians. Paul is the apostle of Jesus Christ by God's will. Before this, he imprisoned and agreed to the killing of Christians. The Lord Jesus Christ met him as he was going to Damascus to imprison Christians. On his way there, the Lord Jesus Christ saved him and called him to be an apostle. I believe Paul, not Mathias, was chosen by the Lord Jesus Christ to take the place of Judas Iscariot who betrayed the Saviour. Timothy was with Paul when he wrote 2 Corinthians and he was right there in the church of Corinth with all the genuine Christians in Achaia or northern Greece. This was Paul's second letter to them. In his first letter, he excoriated them because one of the men had committed incest with his father's wife. Paul is trying to encourage them in the things of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Olivet Discourse of Matthew 24-25, without question, is one of the most misunderstood and subsequently one of the most misinterpreted passages in the New Testament. The result is that various views such as the Pre-Wrath, Mid and Post Tribulational have brought great confusion among today's Christians. At the heart of the problem is that interpreters do not apply sound rules of hermeneutics, make the grave mistakes of mixing God's plans, and purpose for Israel with that of the Christians in this the Church Age. This book is a verse by verse, exegetical examination of the Olivet Discourse, which shows that Church Age saints are not present during the seven years of the Tribulation. Further, it demonstrates that the New Testament teaches the Pre-Tribulational rapture of Christians at the end of the current dispensation of the Church Age. Although the shed blood of Jesus Christ saves all believers, God makes a distinction between how He works with Israel and Christians in this age. God is not finished with His chosen people Israel, the Old Testament dispensation and Daniel's prophesied 490 years to the Second Coming. (Dan. 9:24) Daniel's 70th Week is the Tribulation and God's completion of the end of the age, which is the Old Testament dispensation. He will then establish the promised Kingdom to Israel. In the Olivet Discourse, Jesus answers the questions of His disciples about the details of Daniel's 70th Week and His Second Coming. Jesus' discourse shows conclusively that Church Age Saints are not viewed in Matthew 24-25.

All Are Sinners. In this book of Ephesians, Paul made it very clear that every human being is a sinner. In fact, they are all "dead in trespasses and sins." (Ephesians 2:1)All Must Be Saved. Since all are sinners and "dead in trespasses and sins," all must be saved. Paul differed with the liberals and apostates of our day who say that all are saved and will go to God's heaven. God's salvation cannot be accomplished by our "works." It is only by God's "grace" that people can be saved, "through faith" in the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9).All Saved Should Serve. Though none can be saved by their "good works," once saved, all should serve the Lord by "good works" which God has "ordained that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10). Though we cannot serve God to be saved, once we are saved, we should serve the Lord with willing hearts and with "good works."

Concerning the destructive critics of the 20th century, Pastor Andrews said""It is painfully evident that the recent attempts to meet the long-felt difficulties in the Old Testament, historic and other, by minimizing the knowledge of God possessed by Israel, have tended rather to undermine the faith of Christians than to confirm it…. "It is also more and more evident that the same uncertainty is beginning to be felt in regard to the truthfulness of the New Testament, and especially of the historic Gospels. Here we are told, that as we find by critical inquiry, much was attributed to Moses that was not his, so much was attributed to Christ which He never did or taught. It is the pious imagination of the second century that presents Him to us as He now appears. When all errors are eliminated, and we get down to exact history, both Old and New Testaments will be reduced to much smaller dimensions, and make lees demands upon our faith; and we may safely say, also, that increasing numbers will care less and less for them." This is the case among academics and far too many pastorates and congregations. Hopefully, this book will help some to return to faith in "the old book," a faith lost around the world.H. D. Written in 1898, this book is an encouragement to many of us who are "[l]ooking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." (Titus 2:13) T. A. McMahon said in the Berean Call:Although I have been addressing at times over the last few years specific aspects of the coming world religion, it's a great encouragement to have those whom I respect in the Lord confirm my writings on the subject. One of those friends told me to read a book that he believed would be of further encouragement. I got it and read it. To use one of Dave Hunt's favorite expressions: "Wow!" That would have been his response, without a doubt. The book is what I would call a "pre-confirmation," meaning it confirms what we've been describing regarding the Apostasy with this amazing distinction: It was written in 1898!

The 1526 Tyndale New Testament is a reprint from the "Rare Book Archive" of Dr. David L. Brown's Biblical Heritage Archive Collection. William Tyndale (1492? - 1536) played a monumental role in the establishment of the Authorized Version of 1611 (i.e., King James Bible). He was the first to translate Erasmus's Greek New Testament (NT) into English and then provided the world with the first printed English NT. He stands as the greatest of all English biblical scholars. While his first edition NT was published in 1526, his second revised and corrected NT was published in 1534, two years before he was martyred. Tyndale also completed the Hebrew-to-English translation for 15 of 39 books in the Old Testament, including the Pentateuch. Tyndale published the first edition of his English New Testament in 1526. Only two full copies have survived, both pocket size. It is believed there were 3,000 printed in Worms by Peter Schoeffer. The British Library bought the copy owned by Bristol Baptist College for 1 million pounds, declaring Tyndale's New Testament as "the most important printed book in the English language." The second complete copy of Tyndale's 1526 New Testament was discovered in November of 1996 at the Wurttembergische Landesbibliothek (a state library) in Stuttgart, Germany. This German copy has a title page, which is missing in the British library copy. Apparently, the German library's director, Eberhard Zwink, was overseeing the library data transfer from hand-written hard copy records to computerized records. During this transition process, Zwink realized that one of the library's holdings was actually a 1526 New Testament by Tyndale. Taken together, several research studies indicate that 83% - 90% of the King James Bible (1611, Authorized Version) can be traced to Tyndale's English translation work; specific findings suggest that 83% of the NT and 76% of the OT in the King James Bible is Tyndale's translation (The Bible in English by David Daniell, Yale University Press; The King James Version Defended by Edward Hills, Christian Research Press).Within his small New Testament are words and phrases which have gone on to influence the world, and continue to do so today. A surprising number of Tyndale's phrases are still in common use today, including: 'under the sun', 'eat, drink and be merry', 'signs of the times', 'the salt of the earth', 'let there be light', 'my brother's keeper', 'lick the dust', 'fall flat on his face', 'the land of the living', 'pour out one's heart', 'the apple of his eye', 'fleshpots', 'go the extra mile', 'the parting of the ways', broken-hearted', 'flowing with milk and honey'.

Those who have fallen into the trap of a "pre" A.D. LXX, a Greek translation of the Old Testament before the incarnation of the Lord Jesus Christ, are primarily Roman Catholic expositors. Now they are promoting yet another a false claim. Specifically, they claim the chronology in the mystical Septuagint, the LXX, is more accurate than the Traditional Masoretic Text as accurately and faithfully translated into the King James Version. After reading this work, perhaps you will conclude as I have that so much of this farce is false and shameful. Dr. Chris Sherbrune said: "Virtually the only historical evidence for a BC Greek Old Testament called the "Septuagint" (= seventy man or seventy day translation, depending on the legend followed) is "The Letter of Aristeas" found in a highly spurious, non-canonical collection of writings called "The Forgotten Books of Eden." The Zondervan Preface to their Septuagint call Aristeas a "fable." The Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics (p. 308) calls it a "manifest forgery." Notable Old Testament scholar Paul Kahle calls Aristeas "propaganda." Internally there are many factual errors in "Aristeas," such as: "Demetrious was never the royal librarian, and he died long before Alexandria's naval Victory…" (Thackeray, THE LETTER OF ARISTEAS). The letter tells of a conversation between Demetrious and Theodektes, but Theodektes died before Demetrius was born, and the letter itself is [tentatively] dated some 200 years later than the supposed 300 BC translation of the Old Testament into Greek, (The International Standard bible Encyclopedia, p. 2924."

[In England, a D.D. is an earned degree and a D.C.L. is A Doctor of Civil Law] Dean of Norwich in England, 1864, and it has survived long enough for the copyright to expire and the book to enter the public domain. A public domain book is one that was never subject to copyright or whose legal copyright term has expired. We realize it will not be popular among some ministers of the Bible and Gospel because of its antiquity, but for those who take the time to read it, a reward lies ahead. Some marks, notations and other marginalia present in the original volume will appear in this book -a reminder of this book's long journey from the original publisher to a library and finally to you. As many stray marks as possible were removed. Dean Burgon was one of the most successful defenders of the KJB and its underlying text, the Received Text (TR), and is revered by many. The outline of his character, not to be traced, will, ti is hoped, serve to justify this claim. The first character, then, in which, when his name is mentioned, John William Burgon is thought of, is that of a theologian… But I must pass from his intellectual gifts to speak of the faculties of a more moral cast, in which he was equally versatile." The Bodily Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ Is Doubted By Many Today. Though doubted by many so-called Pastors in many churches of the U.S.A. and around the world, it is clearly taught in 1 Corinthians 15 and elsewhere in the New Testament. The Angel Of The Lord Was A Witness. When the two Mary's came to Christ's tomb early on the first day of the week, the angel of the Lord told them "He is not here: for He is risen . . . come, see the place where the Lord lay" (Matthew 28:6). More Than "500 Brethren at once" Were Also Witnesses. (1 Corinthians 15:6). Many of those brethren were still alive when Paul wrote the book of 1 Corinthians. What greater witness is needed to establish Christ's bodily resurrection? Eleven Apostles Were Witnesses. At the second Sunday evening service, the Lord Jesus Christ appeared before them in the upper room. Even Thomas was there on that occasion though absent the week before. The Apostle Paul Was A Witness. The Lord Jesus Christ appeared to Paul from Heaven when he was on his way to imprison Christians at Emmaus. Paul asked "Who art thou, Lord?"
