This document is a didactic guide for the Environmental Impact course, oriented to the educational development of the students of the Higher Technology in Electricity career, with which we intend to facilitate the teaching and learning of the same and that they can take full advantage of the knowledge imparted in the course.Society's growing awareness of environmental problems has caused industries to increasingly consider the environmental variable in their decision-making processes.In this sense, one of the management activities that has had a greater increase in recent years has been the study of environmental impacts.For this reason, this course provides students with the knowledge that will allow them to know the environmental impacts, their effects, the way to evaluate them and the prevention and mitigation measures that will help to achieve sustainable development.

The only way to propose the overcoming of the human being is through thinking the other, which supposes the recognition of the diversity of thoughts and the conciliation between them: A crucial challenge for an individualistic and utilitarian society. From the educational point of view, numerous approaches are reconfigured that seek to reinvent the human being by means of alternative educational schemes. Other forms of avant-garde thinking propose post-truth as a critique of the critique of what is known as truth. It is argued that not all concepts can be overcome in dialogue, writing and narrative experience, since in the end it is a matter of interpreting ourselves through "the other".

Abraham Maslow's theory of human motivation enjoys undeniable popularity, but it is very often interpreted in a simplistic and erroneous way. Its original version suggests that our motivations are realized in a progressive order, in a hierarchical fashion, according to five typologies of needs. In a professional context, Maslow's pyramid can become a motivational tool both for managers seeking to understand their team members and improve their well-being, and for employees themselves. What are the 5 basic needs according to Abraham Maslow? Abraham Maslow's theory defines needs as physiological, security, affiliation, recognition and self-actualization. We begin with the physiological needs and continue in the order mentioned, which is the order of importance they have.The purpose of this manuscript is to introduce Abraham Maslow, detail the 5-level pyramid, the 8-level pyramid and give a life review application to the world of work.

Surrogacy is a contract lacking regulation in Colombian law, however, it is commonly practiced; it is common that in the surrogacy contract the surrogate mother is in charge of personal and non-transferable obligations that she performs under the control of the contracting party in exchange for a monthly remuneration, elements that are similar to the essential elements of the employment contract (Art. 23 CST); therefore it is valid to question whether surrogacy can constitute an employment contract? If so, what are the implications for the application of labor law?

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is due to insulin resistance in 90 percent of cases and is a risk determinant for vascular dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Chronic, systemic, low-grade, low-grade inflammation leads to loss of insulin sensitivity in the brain and cognitive impairment. The objective was to evaluate the impact of a 20-week exercise programme on cognitive (including quality of life) and inflammatory status in a sample of type 2 diabetic mellitus mellitus patients with a diagnosis of less than or equal to ten years, assisted by our integrated national health system.

In Colombia, the social reintegration of those responsible for crimes, even in transitional justice processes, has had a strong emphasis on the debate on punishability and criminal sanctions, the latter restricted to custodial sentences in penitentiaries and prisons. This research proposes to offer a different view of social reintegration as a function of punishment in order to extend it to the reparation of the victim's harm, as an essential element in the search for justice, which guarantees non-repetition and generates favourable conditions for the reconstruction of the social fabric and peaceful coexistence from a restorative justice perspective.

Peptide YY (PYY) belongs to the neuropeptide Y family, which is also made up of neuropeptide Y (NPY) and pancreatic polypeptide (PP). They are biologically active peptides made up of 36 amino acids and act via four receptor subtypes: Y1, Y2, Y4 and Y5. PYY is secreted in the intestine and circulates in the body in two active forms that cross the blood-brain barrier, which are PYY (1-36) and its cleaved form PYY (3-36). PYY (3-36) is a selective agonist of the Y2 receptor and has been shown to play a role as an appetite modulator, promoting the sensation of satiety in mammals. The hippocampus is a region rich in Y2 receptors and their activation can inhibit excitatory synaptic transmission and glutamate release in the hippocampus, leading to memory deficits, which has highlighted its involvement in the regulation of cognitive function associated with learning and memory.The aim of this book was to seek a better understanding of the interaction between PYY (3-36) and its Y2 receptor in cells of the central nervous system. To this end, the activity of this peptide on Ca2+ influx in rat hippocampal cells was investigated.

Cultural heritage is a set of monuments, buildings, works, local traditions, related to the territory that gave rise to it, and as such it represents the wealth of a country both culturally and economically, intended for common enjoyment. The notion of "heritage" has its roots in the Latin language: with the term patrimonium, in fact, reference was made to the wealth that was inherited by the father of the family. Already in Roman times there was an interest in the concept of heritage protection, and there were several illustrious figures who dealt with this task over the centuries, including Petrarch and Raphael Sanzio. This volume aims to present a brief review of some of the archaeological areas in Calabria dating back to prehistoric, Greek and Roman times so as to spread awareness of their existence and trigger awareness in the individual. The concept of heritage is also treated in a broad sense, starting from its origin and briefly tracing the stages that later contributed to the enactment of the legislative basis that protects cultural heritage today.

The aim of this study was to diagnose the sustainable actions practiced in the supermarket retail sector and propose improvements to the system. The methodology consisted of carrying out qualitative and exploratory bibliographical research, applying knowledge of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data, General Systems Theory (GST), reverse logistics and eco-efficiency in a supermarket located in the municipality of Pombal-PB, including on-site visits to the supermarket enterprise and a semi-structured interview with an employee from the management of the company studied. As a result, the lack of sustainable measures in the retail supermarket and the lack of interest on the part of business owners and employees in starting such actions were noted, due to a lack of knowledge on the subject, in which they blamed city management and the culture of the population as the main impediments to adopting better actions. Among the proposals for improvement, the following stand out: the characterization of companies using the triple bottom line and the application of ISO 14001 to improve the environmental management system.

Autoimmune diseases (AIDs) are characterized by a breakdown in immunological tolerance to the self, and by the production of autoantibodies. They are either systemic or organ-specific. The latter group includes immune diseases of the liver, or autoimmune hepatopathies. The target of these autoantibodies may be the hepatocyte, the small bile ducts or the medium or large bile ducts. Classically, a distinction is made between¿ autoimmune hepatitis (HAI);¿ primary biliary cholangitis (PBC);¿ primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC);¿ Ig G4 lymphoplasmacytic sclerosing cholangitis.There are also overlap syndromes or borderline forms that combine the diagnostic criteria of two or more of these entities.

Venezuela, as an Ibero-American country and in accordance with the history of its constitutional law, has a little known historical reality regarding the limitations of the right to freedom and property. It was therefore necessary and pertinent to carry out a doctrinal and historical-constitutional investigation of these two institutions in order to analyse the nature or character of the limitations and restrictions they have been subject to since the birth of the republic. This made it possible to theorise about a possible (perhaps unappreciated) cause of the limitations to these rights, from the constitutional law of 1811 to the current constitutional law in Venezuela.

The purpose of this book is to draw attention to the errors of notification that occur in eviction proceedings. This is due, on the one hand, to the understanding of eviction as one of the most unfortunate legal mechanisms put into practice by the tenancy legislation, guarantor of the rights of possession, property and decent housing; and, on the other hand, to the consideration of the notification as the element of the process that brings knowledge about it to the parties and allows a contradictory trial to take place. Thus, it is a matter of reviewing the errors that are made when it comes to notification and which jeopardize the protection of a multitude of interrelated rights (property, possession, housing, defense, effective protection, information).

Corynebacterium diphtheriae is the causative agent of diphtheria, a serious but vaccine-preventable disease. Symptoms range from mild angina to asphyxia. Diphtheria toxin is responsible for the local and systemic clinical manifestations of diphtheria. There are four biotypes of C. diphtheriae: gravis, mitis, intermedius and belfanti. Although diphtheria is currently controlled by compulsory mass vaccination, it remains endemic in many countries of Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and South America. Epidemics have also occurred in Asia, Africa and Latin America. In developed countries, infections are mainly due to non-toxigenic strains of C. diphtheriae, often associated with imported cases. Molecular characterization makes it possible to track the geographical and temporal evolution of circulating strains, to distinguish between endemic and epidemic cases, indigenous and imported cases, and to understand and monitor modes of diphtheria transmission. Maintaining vaccination coverage ¿95% and ongoing surveillance are essential for the prevention of this disease.

The word "Dynamics" comes from a Greek word meaning: force. Group dynamics refers to the study of the forces that interact within a group, i.e. how a group functions. These forces are activated by the interaction of its members and by the influence exerted by the objectives, activities and techniques used among the participants; in other words, they are processes of interaction between people pursuing a common goal.

Iatrogenic dental perforations are the second most common cause of endodontic failure, creating communication between the endodontic space and the periodontium. They are highly diverse in terms of etiology, shape and size, and can occur anywhere along the endodontic path.The management of iatrogenic perforations calls for a number of therapeutic alternatives, the indications for which depend on certain criteria. Orthograde endodontic treatment is the preferred option.The aim of this paper is to guide the practitioner towards the necessary therapeutic approach to iatrogenic dental perforation, while emphasizing the importance of prevention. It also sheds light on the appropriate repair biomaterials that can improve the prognosis of such an accident.

This book aims to raise awareness in families and society in general, to modify cultural patterns that do not dignify the quality of life of older adults, such as taking care of grandchildren.The grandparent within the family continues to play a very important role in the upbringing and education of the grandchildren, however, the first responsible for the education of the children are the parents, in this sense, the responsibility should not be delegated.The State should consider a social policy that responds to the needs and problems of childcare for the elderly.

Our study analyzes the social determinants of access to employment for engineers graduating from INP-HB from 2006 to 2011. It is based on a qualitative approach. Structuroconstructivist, biographical, strategic and systemic methods are the analytical approaches we used. In the context of our study, they enabled us to consolidate the socially constructed process in which actors on the Côte d'Ivoire job market are involved. Content analysis is the type of analysis we conducted. From this approach to the presentation of employment trends in Côte d'Ivoire, access to employment for engineers graduating from INP-HB from 2006 to 2011 is dependent on their social background.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), its history and evolution, because everything has an origin and it is necessary to know where ICT is born and how it is developed, in the same way the concept of ICT, what it is, but also the characteristics that differentiate it. Everything in life has its advantages and disadvantages, just like ICT. The reasons, the use it offers and how it will be inserted in higher education, are points that will be developed in this research, the classification of ICT, because it will be shown that it is not only one, but there are several technological tools that help and give alternation to traditional education. Another of the points to develop are the Blogs, how to teach in a virtual environment, where to begin to virtualise teaching, the birth, concept, without leaving aside the characteristics that it possesses, the use in the classroom, of which parts a Blog is conformed, the advantages and disadvantages that it entails to know and to use the Blogs and to finalise some small advices for the correct use of the Blogs.

Nomadic Mbororo herders have been arriving in the Ango and Poko territories, part of the Bas-Uélé province, since 2000. Attracted by the green pastures of these grassy savannah regions, they settled there at the time of the former MLC (Mouvement de libération du Congo, then supported by Uganda) rebellion. Their movements, with thousands of head of cattle, were not without damage. As soon as they arrived, the cows began grazing indiscriminately on savannah grasses and farmers' fields. The Bili-Uélé hunting reserve was even completely ransacked.Their arrival was a source of discontent for the local population. The occupation of large areas to graze their livestock has led to serious land, health and security problems.For some, the Mbororo are climate refugees and entitled to protection; for others, they are invaders and should be expelled. The state has yet to come up with a solution to the problem, which is a source of tension.

This work recovers research carried out with students from the Primary Education and Mathematics teacher training courses on teaching practices in these fields. It also recovers some incentive proposals aimed at expanding the persistent normative teaching model through playful activities and focuses on the exhibition called CienciArte and Matematies Arte. This project analyses the cognitive processes at play, the assumptions regarding teaching practice and the processes of conceptual change concerning conceptions of science, art and their relationships.

As languages formed and spoken on the edge of the ancient Roman Empire, Portuguese and Romanian have some common features (especially at the phonetic level) that distinguish them from other "sister" languages in the same family of Romance languages. But is it possible to talk about this similarity at all levels of the language? Could we consider that the system of forms of address represents one of these common features? Based on this question, this study aims to analyze the issue of forms of address in Portuguese and Romanian from a translational perspective and to find the main translation problems they pose, as well as their solutions.

Suicidal behavior among young people is a major public health concern worldwide. It is recognized that the determinism of these problematic behaviors is governed as much by environmental factors as by psychopathological factors such as personality traits. We conducted a cross-sectional study of suicidal youth to identify the relationship between suicidal intentionality and impulsivity and the factors associated with them. We used the BECK Suicidal Intentionality Scale and the Impulsivity Scale (BIS-11). Suicidal intentionality was rated as strong in half the suicidal subjects. It was strongly correlated with premeditation. The prevalence of trait impulsivity was 72.1%. It was correlated with alcohol consumption, low somatic severity and the presence of a personality disorder. High suicidal intentionality was significantly correlated with impulsivity. These results suggest that targeting young people with such impulsive vulnerability could be one of the most effective approaches to suicide prevention.

Nowadays, the research of strength, stability and performance of power and technological machines, as well as aircraft (airplanes, rockets and drones) is an urgent task. The main above-mentioned machines operate under the influence of shock and vibration loads. Therefore, to ensure the strength and stability of the above machines requires manufacturing. Some of these problems are discussed in the papers. This represents a more developed and relevant area of modern dynamics of moving machines. The aim of the work is to develop methods of mathematical and computer modeling of dynamic processes of active and passive vibration protection systems for improvement in nonlinear mechanical systems. And also in increasing the efficiency of passive and active vibration protection of objects (for example, in radio-electronic devices) due to the optimal choice of their parameters and taking into account the structural-dissipative properties of the system.

Perioperative anxiety is a frequent phenomenon among patients. It is even more pronounced in patients undergoing AR, especially in the orthopedic OR, where noise levels are alarmingly high, and are therefore responsible for increasing the stress and anxiety felt by the patient. Various pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches have been developed, but premedication remains the most widely used. However, because of its undesirable effects, various studies have tried to find an alternative, namely TM. The latter is a non-pharmacological, risk-free and low-cost approach, and has proved its efficacy in several studies.The aim of our study was to evaluate the contribution of TM on perioperative anxiety during scheduled orthopedic surgery of the lower limb under AR.

The Banco National Park (PNB) is of vital importance to the inhabitants of Abidjan, as it is entirely embedded in the city. It is the green lung of the city. This forest massif, with a surface area of ..., is characterized by its very high frenetic tablecloth, making it the only representative example of psamogrophilous forest in the whole of Côte d'Ivoire. Thanks to this highly accessible water table, the park is the main source of water for the Ivorian capital. The forest has a relative humidity of 85-90% and is characterized by a high level of windfall, making it an ideal habitat for fungi. Our guide introduces the reader or mycologist to the world of fungi, with clear images of over 80 different species. It deals only with fungi visible to the naked eye (macromycetes).

Methods and algorithms of regional space monitoring (SM) of natural environment on the example of the Caucasus-Caspian region are considered using satellite and sub-satellite optical data. In parallel, GIS-applications for processing and visualization of raster space images are used.Step-by-step: 1. The informativeness of the network of ground-based optical observation of the atmosphere is determined by measurements of the brightness of the day sky, 2. For the dark object of the regional space image (water surface, vegetation) the average vertical profiles, daily, seasonal and annual variations and total optical thickness of aerosol layers of the lower atmosphere are determined, 3. Distributions of atmosphere-corrected values of the underlying surface SCN for statistically homogeneous and isotropic regions of the surface air layer are determined, 4. Methods and algorithms for processing multichannel images and solving the problem of automated mapping using remote sensing data and GIS-technologies are given. The book is intended for researchers, doctoral students and university students dealing with the issues of CM and control of the state of environmental variability at the regional level.

Whether out of conformism, complacency, or even ignorance, it is very often the case that all the information we have about ourselves is limited to the equivalent of the image shown in a photograph and is therefore insufficient. It is for this reason that it is almost impossible for us to live our life to its fullest potential and enjoy it to the fullest of its possibilities. It is as if we are not living on the plane or level for which we were created and, for that reason, we face both in our own life and in our relationship with others many shortcomings or problems that otherwise would not exist. There is no doubt, then, that getting to discover who you are is important. It is important so that you can be happy with yourself; so that you can develop your full potential; so that you can appreciate life and those around you in the different circles of your life; it is important so that you can bring happiness to others without fear or complexes. The only problem is that it is not always easy to reach this discovery. It requires a method, a strategy. It is this strategy that I have called "art". And it is this subject that I address in this book.
