The topic of the creative economy has been the subject of debate more and more frequently due to the recognition of its potential for a country's development. The aim of this research is to investigate whether students on the Bachelor of Business Administration course offered by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Southeast Minas Gerais, Barbacena Campus, are being prepared to work in companies within a creative economy context. To this end, a qualitative, exploratory study was carried out, comprising a bibliographical survey, documentary research and semi-structured interviews applied to students on the Administration course, with non-probabilistic, convenience and intentional sampling. The documentary research involved analysing the syllabus of the Business Administration course in order to verify aspects relevant to the training of managers working in companies with a creative profile. Content analysis was used to analyse the data collected.

The aim of this study is to understand the meaning of the process of functional rehabilitation experienced by public school teachers in Banabuiú-CE, discussing the impact this process has on the lives, identities and work activities of these workers. It is based on the assumption that reintegration into work through readaptation has an important meaning for the worker to be understood, since their absence due to ill health generates a new labour, social and symbolic condition, leading them to experience unique relationships in the workplace, as well as feelings of loss, incomprehension, frustration and failure, affecting their professional performance, as well as a threat to their own identity. This is an exploratory, qualitative study carried out through interviews with the subjects involved. In order to understand the study and evaluate the results, the statements were recorded through sensitive listening and divided into blocks for analysis. It can be seen that readaptation takes place in a precarious environment, with degrading personal relationships made possible by functions that are distorted from professional training, causing illness.

This publication is the result of a research thesis in economics. It seeks to show how the transition to a green economy can become a new source of opportunities not only to help low-income food-deficit countries (LIFDCs) escape extreme poverty, but also to achieve sustainable development. In this book, we attempt to analyze theoretically and empirically the role that the transition to a green economy can play in eradicating extreme poverty and moving LIFDCs towards sustainable development. We highlight the literature review on the responsibility of climate change for the deterioration in the quality of life of people living below the poverty line according to the World Bank. We also look at the role of the transition to a green economy in leading LIFDCs towards sustainable development. Finally, we look at the different ideas developed in the context of orienting the LIFDCs' economy towards sustainable development, and the appropriate responses not only for the LIFDCs, but also for the rest of the world.

Do we need a Good School today? We believe we do, and we say this because of the need to educate the new generations of children in a more optimal way and to promote a more holistic vision of the creative foundations that support higher education. Where does a Good School really land its pretensions? It is in the tutoring hour, being in function of this that we are going to find the problems and awaken the talents of the students. How are we going to apply the Good School? In the model of universal values such as kindness, as a permanent guide through examples. Thus we have as a result a different SCHOOL, which promotes from the curriculum, the tutorial action plan and moral values; a child-juvenile psychology, a creative education and a teacher coaching; where parents, children and teachers are involved.

The Partner Prenatal Strategy seeks to include the male population in the routine of the services offered in Primary Care, starting with the prenatal consultation. With this in mind, the nurse, as a member of the health team, has a key role to play in attracting and welcoming men, making it possible for this strategy to be implemented. This is a descriptive, exploratory study with a qualitative approach, in which 11 nurses took part after approval by the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Juazeiro do Norte (CEP/FJN), with opinion number: 2.058.154. The results showed that the nurses realize the importance of men's participation during prenatal care, especially because it strengthens the father-mother-child bond. However, they reported that they were unaware of the Partner Prenatal Care Strategy. It was noted that most men do not attend prenatal appointments due to the unavailability of time as a result of working hours. As for the actions offered to men during prenatal care, general guidance on baby care was observed.

Haglund's syndrome, known in the literature as "High Heel" and "Winter Heel", was first described by orthopedic surgeon Patrick Haglund in 1928. It refers to pain in the hindfoot of mechanical origin, associated with foot-shoe impingement linked to a morphological anomaly of the posterior-superior tuberosity of the calcaneus, with inflammatory pre- and retro-achillary bursitis and achilles tendinopathy. Diagnosis is essentially clinical and radiological. Its management is divided between medical treatment and surgical treatment, which remains the fundamental pillar of treatment. The aim of this study is to investigate the clinical and radiological features of Haglund syndrome and d¿evaluate the functional and radiological results of its treatment.

This study analysed the Brazilian experience with the Family Health Programme (PSF) and the Unified Health System (SUS) in the cities of Piracicaba/SP and Promissão/SP, both small and medium-sized cities. It showed that the population uses most of the medical resources available through the SUS and that it was still unable to serve the entire population satisfactorily. He highlighted the advances and challenges of the PSF, pointing out the most urgent needs. She concluded by pointing out that despite being well utilised, it still needs improvements in its structure, in hiring new health professionals and in improving care and the scheduling of services.

The rapid certification of Environmental Management Systems in accordance with the ISO 14001 international standard could mean that capitalism is reforming itself from an ecological point of view by adopting processes that make production activities compatible with environmental preservation. Field visits to 8 certified companies - Bahia Sul Celulose-BA, Riocell-RS, Eliane Gres Porcellanato-SC, Hering-SC, Les Bernaches/GR Restaurantes de Coletividade-SP, Alpargatas-Santista Têxtil-SP, Tetra Pak-SP, Brasilamarras-RJ - and document analysis led us to reflect: is an eco-capitalism announcing itself and is the quest for certification its proof, a materialisation of the corporate race towards sustainable development? The interpretation of the data indicates that the starting point refers to market values, albeit diversified: 1) the search for image gain with the aim of institutional marketing; 2) the establishment of a market differential; 3) the social legitimisation of polluting products and production processes. A sustainable eco-capitalist paradigm is questioned and, dialectically, possibilities and potential for the planet are pointed out.

The Neurotic Management Method (NTM Method) is a system for training the brain, achieving economy of attention, ignoring distractions, enhancing concentration and preventing the negative impact of ICT on the nervous system. Work 4.0 requires innovation, creativity and technology management, this is the most sought after homus interneticus. The crisis is caused by dispersion and computer fatigue, by the disappearance of jobs and the necessary transformation of others. That is why, faced with infoxication, lack of productivity and the advance of artificial intelligence, the answer is the GNT. A tool that trains our work skills with techniques and practices that come from technology addiction. As an addict to tic, man has myopia of the future, the GNT method is a facilitator of the encounter between brain, mind, body and work, its effective application depends on an effective training, which takes into account the gender. Human beings are much more than hardware and software, we are our experience that modulates neural connections and our genetics, we are our passions, the key is the humanisation of ICT.

Judo is a high-impact sport that requires agility, balance, static and explosive strength, as well as cardiovascular fitness to be performed properly. The blows applied by athletes practicing this sport are quite complex, usually involving more than one joint and several muscle groups, making them more susceptible to musculoskeletal injuries. The high rate of injuries seen in this population prompted a descriptive experimental study, with an exploratory approach, to find out which types of injuries were most common in judo. One of the most vulnerable joints is the glenohumeral joint, which is, however, a very unstable joint, acting through the interaction of 4 joints: the glenohumeral joint, the acromioclavicular joint, the sternoclavicular joint and the scapulothoracic joint, thus allowing for an extensive range of movement which, when practicing judo, is subjected to high impacts, static forces and repetitive use, thus contributing to the appearance of injuries and pain in the region of the shoulder girdle.

Breast cancer ranks first among female cancers and is the leading cause of cancer-related death in women. In this book, we describe the carcinogenesis and prognostic factors of female breast cancer, based on a literature search. The architecture of the mammary gland evolves throughout life, depending on age and stage of reproductive life, and is constructed under the influence of sex hormones of ovarian origin and a number of growth factors.Several clinico-pathological criteria are used to assess whether a breast cancer a priori has a good or poor prognosis, and to determine whether additional systemic treatment should be administered (chemotherapy, hormone therapy), in order to reduce the risk of relapse and death.

Nowadays, environmental issues are becoming more and more important, as the construction sector is one of the biggest generators of solid waste. Porcelain tiles are one of the fastest-growing building materials due to their properties, such as good resistance and great aesthetic variety. This has led to an increase in the production of waste from this material. Therefore, we analyzed how the water/cement factor can influence the consistency and compressive strength of concrete with porcelain tile waste. In addition, it was analyzed how changing the water/cement factor can affect the properties of concrete with porcelain tile waste, also investigating the economic viability of using this waste in concrete.

Breast cancer is the most prevalent of the different neoplasms that form part of what is known as "gynecological cancer" and is the leading cause of death in women between the ages of 20 and 60. This means that thousands, even millions, of people suffer from the symptoms associated with this type of cancer, so research into a non-pharmacological way of alleviating the symptoms could be the answer to the pain, anxiety, stress and depression suffered by many people diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Islamic occupation of the Algarve during the Middle Ages left a strong legacy in many areas of Portuguese culture. We call this territorial domain Gharb al-Andalus. In addition to the intangible legacy, the material remains discovered throughout the region attest to the long permanence of Islamic occupation. Within these parameters, a large number of Islamic buildings have been classified as National Monuments and Buildings of Public Interest. However, many of these structures leave us in doubt as to the state of preservation and dissemination of the heritage to local communities. This book addresses this shortcoming in an informative way, with fact sheets on Islamic heritage in the Algarve. Safeguarding the built cultural heritage is a patent that should not be ignored and, hopefully, new initiatives to protect the legacy of our history and culture will be realised.

There have been many discussions about the changes that the Brazilian education system has undergone in recent decades in order to meet the new demands arising from the process of universalising education. However, based on these changes, the challenge of providing quality education for all has arisen. These challenges are neither few nor easy to face. However, it is necessary to recognise that education has already achieved a great deal, and that this has led to hope being reborn with each new day. This book is based on the assumption that we need to investigate, observe and analyse our schools in order to achieve more real and meaningful results. Therefore, its aim is to analyse the aspects that hinder the learning of students from 1st to 3rd grade in a public school in Ocara, trying to understand the extent to which teachers and the school can contribute to achieving quality education. In fact, it had an investigative nature with the aim of discussing, following the results in the possible development of strategies that can contribute to the school and the education department in the realisation of meaningful learning.

Violence is defined as the intentional use of physical force or power, real or threatened, against oneself, another person, a group or a community, which results in, or has a high likelihood of resulting in, injury, death, psychological harm, developmental disability or deprivation. One of the types of violence that has been studied the most is domestic violence, which is practiced in the private sphere, caused by a family member who lives with the victim or has an emotional relationship with her. The aim of this study was to find out the meaning of the experience of domestic violence among women admitted to a psychiatric hospital for treatment of some kind of mental disorder. As a result, it was identified that the experience of violence exposes women to a higher risk of suffering from mental problems. Factors such as social vulnerability, emotional dependency, alcoholism, chemical dependency and the repetition of abusive relationships over generations appear to be associated with the dynamics of victims of domestic violence.

It is of vital importance the search for new teaching scenarios that generate critical reflection, that invite students to look with "new eyes", to ask questions, to re-question, looking for new ways of knowing, of thinking, of saying, of constructing knowledge and becoming aware of the need to take care of the environment. The impossibility of observing the stars in the night sky of the City of Buenos Aires due to the great amount of light motivated the search for images of starry skies and the most impressive ones were the Antarctic skies. The trip to Antarctica was made by the third grade students. They worked with "La niña del desierto blanco" by María Carro, which immersed them in the location of the Esperanza Base, the adventures of the icebreaker to reach the Antarctic peninsula, the necessary clothing to resist the low temperatures, the biological and environmental biodiversity, the precautions to be taken with the garbage produced and the daily life in the base.

Vulvodynia is a painful genital syndrome that occurs in 7% to 8% of women. Although common, most practitioners find it difficult to diagnose and treat. They have a multifactorial origin. A woman's vulvodynia may reveal psychosexual problems, relating to herself, her partner or the relationship within the couple. Such patients require a multidisciplinary approach involving dermatologist, psychiatrist and psychologist. The dermatologist should communicate effectively with his or her patients about their sexual problems, identify the etiology of these problems and manage them appropriately. Effective doctor-patient communication considerably improves patients' quality of life. In the management of these disorders, a simple and effective treatment is sex education, as ignorance of the sexual response cycle and SR is common in the majority of these patients.

The purpose of this work is to analyse, through the literature, contemporary adolescents and young people, who are increasingly being diagnosed with a variety of mental illnesses, especially in this study - depression. My interest in the subject arose from the way it has been discussed and questioned in academic works and how young people are self-diagnosing themselves, causing not only damage to their health, but to an entire society that lives on the fringes of behaviour that visibly deviates from the ethics and morals stipulated by various social and psychological bodies.

This work problematises the conflict between the standard norm and the cultured varieties of Brazilian Portuguese in the context of teaching and learning Portuguese as a second language for Spanish-speaking students. To this end, we propose an interdisciplinary study between Applied Linguistics and Variationist Sociolinguistics, using ethnographic research tools applied to the L2 classroom context. Our analysis covers the variation of 3rd person anaphoric resumption in accusative function and the placement of clitic pronouns, which covers the analysis of two teaching materials used in the Extracurricular course at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, where the field research was carried out with a focus on the perception of students and teachers, as well as the classroom encounter. By analysing the linguistic phenomena mentioned above, we have tried to show in the course of the research that whether or not Brazilian Portuguese is recognised as a second language involves issues beyond the linguistic, but also conflicting ideological issues of divergent conceptions of language, norms, teaching and learning.

Odontogenic lesions depend on a failure between the various signaling pathways found in our bodies. Understanding the relationship between transcription factors and the behavior of such lesions, as well as the molecular mechanisms involved in benign odontogenic lesions, may, in the future, reveal new therapeutic targets so that new forms of treatment that are more effective, definitive and that increase clinical viability with a view to controlling such lesions can be developed. The literature shows a strong relationship between the transcription factors discussed in this review and various pathologies found in the oral cavity. However, more extensive and specific studies addressing each of the transcription factors, their molecular mechanisms and genetic expression are necessary to fully understand their relationship with the particularities and functions found in the oral cavity, which is constantly undergoing remodeling and is also in a continuous state of local inflammation due to constant contact with external agents.

This paper aims to contextualise the evolution of the activities developed with the use of technologies and the process of using the content with the actions of the group of teachers specialising in technologies in education called Technological Multipliers (MTs), coordinated by the Cabo Frio Municipal Technology Centre (NTM) and who work directly with students from the municipal network in the Educational Technology Laboratories (LTE) of the schools. The following question was raised: How do MT teachers use and capitalise on the educational potential of ICTs in the face of educational demands? To identify their conceptions of ICT in teaching and their educational approaches. The theoretical framework is based mainly on the contributions of Lévy (1999, 2007); Moran (1999, 2000, 2013) and Valente (1995, 1999, 2003), among other scholars, using as a methodology the search in theses, dissertations and articles that make up various portals that address ICT in education. The analysis of the information focused on teacher training for the use of ICTs, the role of the teacher multiplier, the educational role of ICTs and using them in a pedagogical way that favours the teaching-learning process.

This work is part of audiovisual translation studies (TAV) within the discipline of translation studies; specifically, it deals with the study of the subtitling of television series. Three aspects that appear relatively frequently in this field are studied: i) the translation of informal language in the dialogues of the series; ii) the translation of vulgar language; and iii) the translation of the African American Vernacular English (AAVE) variant. In order to provide a comprehensive overview, the relevant theoretical foundations are provided in which the state of the art of subtitling practice and the three selected textual aspects are reviewed. The theoretical principles are then illustrated by analyzing the translation of several scenes for each of these three aspects of the American series The Wire, in which these three translatological problems are encountered from the very first dialogue. The English original is compared with the subtitled translation by HBO, which owns the rights to the series, and suggestions to these translations are offered in order to help better understand the theoretical discussion that complements each analysis.

This book outlines the economic policy adopted by Brazil from 2000 to the present day, emphasizing the effects of the crises, the investigation into their main causes, and the country's return from an emerging economy to an underdeveloped country, in the context of the 2008 world crisis, which began in the United States and had worldwide repercussions. The focus is on the Brazilian economy, which has peculiarities such as a supply of demand, unlike other nations, which have had their demand reduced. Prognoses and possible interventions are also pointed out in this work, as well as expectations for the country's near future.
