Managing pathological tooth wear in dentate subjects is a challenge, all the more so when it is accompanied by dentoalveolar compensation. The Dahl concept was proposed by Bjorn L. Dahl et al. Dahl et al. The rather additive approach requires the creation of an immediate 2 mm to 3 mm increase in DVO at the inter-incisal level, combined with an inocclusion of the posterior teeth. The removable appliance is worn continuously (except during meals) for around 6 months, until contact between the posterior teeth is re-established. At this point, the new anterior inter-occlusal space is restored. The advent of new composite and ceramic materials, bonding polymers with excellent adhesive properties and the introduction of orthodontics revolutionized Dahl's concept. New approaches were introduced. After a review of the various tooth wear lesions and their consequences in the first chapter, Dahl's concept in its classical approach is discussed. The third chapter is devoted to optimizing the concept with the advent of new materials and the introduction of orthodontics.

One of the most frequently observed non-epileptic paroxysmal disorders in young children is affective-respiratory seizures (ARS), manifested by involuntary breath-holding with short-term impairment of consciousness and motor activity in response to exogenous stimuli. In modern practice, ARPs due to similar clinical manifestations lead to misdiagnosis of epilepsy. It should be noted that ARPs occur not only in healthy children, they can also occur in so-called organic lesions of the CNS or epilepsy, which presents certain difficulties in differential diagnosis.The monograph is intended for neurologists. The monograph describes the frequency of occurrence, age-sex structure and clinical and anamnestic characteristics, peculiarities of pathogenetic mechanisms in the development of affective-respiratory paroxysms and neurophysiological features of affective-respiratory paroxysms in children with the development of optimal management tactics.

Aim: To evaluate the frequency of depression in elderly subjects undergoing hemodialysis and to identify associated factors.Methods:Cross-sectional study that included subjects over 65 years of age with chronic renal failure undergoing periodic hemodialysis in the cities of Tataouine and Médenine in southern Tunisia during the month of October 2017.Data were collected through a semi-structured interview of the patient and a family member using three geriatric scales: the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) and the Katz Autonomy Scale (ADL). Results:Of the 81 patients included, 67% had depression. Depression was significantly associated with:illiteracy, lack of physical activity, lack of leisure activity, presence of a stressor,lack of autonomy, presence of motor disability, presence of a physical comorbidity, pre-dialytic creatinemiä 800¿mol/l, hypoprotidemia and cognitive impairment. Conclusion: The development of effective strategies taking into account the risk factors for depression is necessary for adequate management of these patients.

The media offers disturbing news about the health of the oceans every day, but in order to improve our understanding of marine ecosystems, we need an interdisciplinary approach to chemical, physical and biological processes. Looking at the base of the marine trophic chain, we find that phytoplankton is one of the main primary producers in the water and directly serves as the basic food for various consumers, such as zooplankton, the planktonic fish Clupeiformes (Sardinella) and some crustaceans.This component is a key link in the flow of energy along food webs and primary productivity. The distribution and composition of species, as well as the seasonal cycles of microalgae blooms, are among the important factors affecting the functioning of aquatic environments. The main aim of this work is to serve as a basic reference for future research in the Angolan area, as well as to increase knowledge about the characterization of phytoplankton and its correlation with physico-chemical parameters off the coast of Luanda.

The amount of alcohol in the 24 hours after fermentation was about 0.5%, but increased with time and reached 2.5% after 72 hours. The increasing trend of the alcohol content is due to the increased metabolism of the bacteria. So after 6 months of storage at 4 degrees Celsius, the alcohol level was 30%. After 10 days, the alcohol percentage reached 8% and the fermented solution was suitable for use in anti-fall gel.

For several years, the question of Gabon's agricultural situation has constantly mobilized a wide range of players. From international organizations to development agencies and banks, local authorities, eminent researchers in economics and agronomy, and so on. So far, no one has been able to point the way to revitalize this highly fundamental sector. In this paper, we set out from the socio-anthropology of development and social change, which is at once "a political anthropology, a sociology of organizations, an economic anthropology, a sociology of networks, an anthropology of representations and meaning" (J.-P. Olivier de Sardan, 1995), to invest this Gabonese agricultural field so as to highlight an analytical perspective of re-modeling, which we describe as "behind the scenes", virtually unexplored until now. In the long term, this should enable us to read the problem from a more operational angle. But also, and above all, one that will help us to propose forward-looking solutions that inexorably involve the rehumanization of this sector.

The subject of the present work is of didactic interest in the sense of historical significance and adaptive development, little known facts, although of outstanding importance in life on earth, especially in relation to the human species. The approach to these facts is presented in a unifying sense and related to life situations of recognised significance for humans, both for themselves and for society and culture. In order to determine the frequency and management of clavicular fractures in kananga hospitals, a retrospective study of 11 cases was carried out in the surgical departments of the Bon Berger hospital in Tshikaji, the kananga provincial hospital and the Jukayi hospital for the period January 01/2019 to December 31/2022.The following observations emerged from this study:- the hospital frequency of clavicle fracture is 8.9%;- this fracture has an annual average of 2.7 cases/year;- the mean age is 27.7 and the modal age 22;- closed fracture is the most common type;- orthopedic treatment was the most common.Finally, it is important to help the Kasainne population to develop a spirit of prevention, and for road users to avoid all forms of distraction, in order to avoid as far as possible the danger engendered by this fracture.

Benelux is an intergovernmental organization that is a political, economic and customs union in Western Europe comprising three monarchies: Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.Benelux is a great example of how three countries can work together to solve different problems: economic, political and social. Dutch and French are the official languages of Benelux and its institutions. Of the total population (27.6 million) of the Member States, 22.6 million (82%) live in the Netherlands and Flanders, where Dutch is the official language. Subsequently, many problems that were difficult to solve within the Benelux were solved at the EEC level. The central aim of this book is to replicate the study carried out by Piaget on the acquisition of the concept of rules in children, in order to find out whether, with the passing of the years in his work "Moral Judgement in Children", the data he found on the acquisition of the principle of morality is still relevant today. The study covers a number of authors, theorists and researchers who have emphasised their research into the principle of ethics and the foundation of morality. In analysing the psychological origins of children's moral development, we sought support from Kolhberg's theory and, above all, from Jean Piaget, the main author of this study. We begin with a brief concept, origin and functions of ethics and morality. We highlight the perspectives on moral development, before moving on to the study of Piaget and moral research. We expand our discussions to include a study of the principle of reversibility, also by Jean Piaget. The book contributes to educators, psychologists, students and professionals in related fields who seek to study and learn about children's moral development.

The book Photography as Memory in the Life of the Candangos is a study of the reconstruction and re-signification of the life history of some individuals, the Candangos, the first residents of Brasilia, in the recreation of their identities and rights. It covers not only residents of Brasilia, but also others from different parts of the Federal District and the surrounding area, from different social classes. Its aim is to add information to the historical construct produced about the Federal District, with the help of photographs from personal collections, demonstrating how the image can be a valuable tool in reconstructing the memory of individuals, subsequently enabling the creation of a document that recovers a part of the social memory of a people, in this case, the Candangos. The study is based on the stories, perceptions and interpretations of facts with the help of photographs from personal collections and accounts from the individuals surveyed.

Who hasn't travelled to see a film without even leaving their living room or cinema seat? It is on the basis of this sensitivity and perception of mutual advantage between the areas of Cinema, Marketing and Tourism that the research into the image of the Northeast that national cinema conveys begins, and how these images affect people's imaginations, whether or not they influence tourism to that place.

Analyzing and defining the Bildungsroman, a creation of the German philosophical and literary spirit, in the literature of French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa, is an undertaking that requires rigor and determination. For, despite numerous studies of this novelistic genre, the Bildungsroman remains insufficiently studied in African literature. We would not, however, have been able to give a positive answer to this question if we had not considered the genre under study, both in terms of its history and structure, and in terms of what determines it, if we had not taken the trouble to define and distinguish the Bildungsroman from other novelistic genres, then to consider certain novels from German and French-speaking African literature in accordance with typical characteristics, and to establish a comparative analysis, using methods of analysis that we have deemed adequate. Thus, in the study of our corpus comprising four German and four African novels, we had recourse to theories of analysis, including narratology, which was of considerable help in the study of the structure of the Bildungsroman.

Indirect immunofluorescence remains the current screening technique for most autoantibodies.The risk of anti-nuclear antibodies in breast cancer patients needs to be thoroughly investigated in a study of 100 hospitalized patients to estimate the strength of the association between breast cancer and antibodies.Characteristic and pathological analyses of patients with positive antinuclear antibodies are not significant, but the antibodies found are very frequent in relation to patient numbers.We're going to complete the follow-up of the patients by increasing their number to fully understand the relationship of the antibodies we found in our results.

Concluding that: the human is inevitable, and the process is perfectible.

The school historiography of the interwar period in Austria is still strongly dominated by the work of the social democratic education politician Otto Glöckel and the Viennese school reform associated with him. This was pushed forward and partially implemented against increasing resistance from the Christian-conservative camp, until it was largely reversed under Dollfuß's rule. The author has set herself the task of bringing the "other side" - the conservatives, the resisters - into focus as protagonists and giving them a voice. She investigated how Christian teachers talked about education, which values, problem areas, ideas and interests structured their discourse and which political demands were derived from this. The result is a description of the Christian-conservative perspective on education and teaching, knowledge of which enables a more differentiated view of the political and social conflicts of the time.

To our knowledge, the effect of combining magnesium with bupivacaine for post tonsillectomy analgesia has not been studied previously. Despite an abundant literature on post-tonsillectomy analgesia, no analgesic protocol has been standardized.Local infiltration of local anesthetics and adjuvant analgesics is playing an increasingly important role in the arsenal of post-tonsillectomy analgesia. Parietal infiltration of local anesthetics is an effective technique, providing analgesic benefits for the patient in many indications. The benefit is direct, in the form of improved postoperative pain, and indirect, in the form of reduced morbidity associated with postoperative morphine consumption.In this study, we set out to assess the effect of combining magnesium with bupivacaine on the quality of analgesia and postoperative complications.

This book aims to analyse contemporary debates about education, knowledge and power. The various approaches to the importance of education and knowledge are based on alternative visions of human nature based on different logical-epistemic approaches. If reasoning is what characterises it, then it is worth reflecting on this fundamental dimension, which is education. However, the place it occupies in the nature of man is at the epicentre of a historical problem, in which some perspectives consider that knowledge improves the life possibilities of human beings and others oppose this hypothesis. In other words, there are competing approaches to the interpretation of education systems: while some see it as a mechanism of domination, others see it as a key element for the liberation and transformation of society.

We conducted a comparative study. Data were collected from a sample of 38 residents in their 1st to 4th year of residency. The sample was separated into a control group and an experimental group, depending on whether they had been trained in our breast pathology department. Our results indicate a significant benefit from training in a breast pathology department. This was characterized by a significant improvement in overall mastery and autonomy. Conversely, we did not observe any significant difference in feelings of stress. Specific knowledge of breast pathology was judged to be more satisfactory among residents who had completed specialized internships. Eight students completed the satisfaction questionnaire. Six were generally satisfied with their time on the ward. The other 2 were less satisfied. Sixty-seven percent of students in the experimental group were satisfied with the supervision of their internship, compared with 40% in the control group.

The pension problems faced by civilian and non-uniformed personnel working within the Colombian military forces and the national police force is paradoxical, considering that these personnel are a vital part of the mission of the Public Force in supporting and advising on issues of public security and national defence throughout the country. After the end of the pension exception regime governed by Decree 1214 of 1990, which allowed civil servants to retire with twenty years of service and with factors that totally replaced the monthly allowance they had been earning in activity, we are now moving on to the conditions of the general pension system set out in Law 100 of 1993, which public servants who joined the Defence Sector after 1 April 1994, the date on which this Law came into force, will have to face.

The quest for excellent maintenance is a goal pursued by various productive sectors of society and is also a relevant issue in the academic environment. It is no longer satisfactory to carry out good maintenance; there needs to be planning, quality, firmness and cost reduction, with the aim of making it efficient, maximising the conservation of equipment and improving the control of expenditure on assets. One of the ways to achieve greater performance and, consequently, improve the production system, is to implement a maintenance management programme. With this in mind, the aim of this end-of-course work is to evaluate the maintenance function in the asset management process of a sweets manufacturer, in order to identify opportunities for implementing improvements in the company.

The habit of practising physical exercise is growing all over the world and is reflected in gyms. This phenomenon is accompanied by a greater demand for nutritional supplements to improve physical performance or for aesthetic reasons. With this in mind, this book provides an assessment of the lifestyle habits and use of food supplements of physical activity practitioners in gyms in the city of Diamantina-MG and draws a parallel between the results of this study and other studies carried out in the country.

The paper aims to present some of the implications of the LRF - Fiscal Responsibility Law - for the PMP - Pacaraima City Council, such as the fundamental changes for harmonising public accounts. It aims to clarify the value of the accounting category's participation in the application of the LRF. Faced with so many transformations in the municipal sphere, it is imperative for accountants to know and understand the laws in order to be able to juxtapose them in their accounting practice. No less important is knowledge of the government structure and all the ways of controlling this administration. With this information, society will have support to help prevent fraud and embezzlement of public money. The first part of this report will deal with public administration, followed by an explanation of the LRF, the specific purpose of which is to regulate the management of public resources, imposing restrictions, limits and sanctions with a view to restoring the country's finances and economy. In addition to explaining these concepts, this work will look at the use of the LRF in the PMP, based on the results of the 2014 financial year, by means of an exploratory and descriptive examination.

Since the first colonial contacts, the northeast of Brazil has been marked by intense processes of genocide and epistemicide of its indigenous population. These processes, opposed to non-European otherness, generated a context of strong denial of the indigenous presence in the region. Throughout the 20th century, against this backdrop, various ethnic-territorial retaking movements began, forcing the existence and rights of the indigenous peoples of the northeast to be recognised. In order to contribute to understanding this context, I analyse the political situation of the Kiriri people - located in the middle Itapicuru basin, Bahia - focusing on their intra-ethnic distinctiveness and internal divisions. To this end, I present the configuration of indigenous schools, as well as describing processes of intra-ethnic division in the light of the links between territory, school education and Kiriri emic representations of their indigenous language. I conclude that the same diacritics used to affirm ethnic unity vis-à-vis non-Indians are also used to mark the people's internal distinctions, revealing a multiplicity of Kiriri "ways of being": "one for you, many for us".

Mozambique has an area of 780,000.00 square kilometres, of which 620,000.00 square kilometres are covered in vegetation and 87,000.00 square kilometres in protected areas. The forest area in Mozambique covered 40.6 million hectares in 2007, of which 26.9 million hectares were productive forest, where forest concessions are established. The provinces with the largest areas of productive forest are: Niassa, Zambézia, Tete and Cabo Delgado (Marzoli, 2007). In 2007, Sofala province had around 2,849,700 ha of total area covered by forest. This forest has an average of 7.1 m3/ha of commercial volume, 48.3 m3/ha of total volume and 94.8 trees per hectare (Marzoli, 2007). Forest inventory is the basis for making land use decisions. The concept of forest inventory is becoming increasingly comprehensive. The evolution of the concept of multiple use of forests is tending to include non-wood species for utilisation beyond the timber industry, according to Da Silva (2000). The area inventoried belongs to the Búzi company (agro-forestry areas of the Búzi Company) and was used in the past to provide firewood for the sugar mill's boilers and to supply timber.
