Nowadays the problem of recycling of secondary polymeric materials is of topical importance, first of all from the point of view of environmental protection, but also from the fact that in conditions of polymeric raw materials deficit plastic wastes become a powerful raw material and energy resource. Therefore, the utilisation of polymer waste is an urgent task. At present there are several ways of utilisation of waste polymeric materials, in particular burial in soil, incineration, thermal methods, creation of biodegradable polymers. But all these methods have significant disadvantages. In the monograph on the example of polymer industry wastes, in particular polyethylene and its wastes by chemical modification (chlorination, amination, etc.) new products are obtained, polymer-polymer systems are created, which were reapplied in the polymer industry, thus offering waste-free, low-tonnage technologies.

To date, the steady increase in the number of diseases of the respiratory system is the most relevant area of modern pediatrics. Lower respiratory tract diseases are characterized by various clinical and morphological manifestations, often leading to bronchial obstruction. The monograph summarizes the data of literature and long-term researches of the team of Samarkand State Medical University devoted to the issues of diagnostics, clinic, therapeutic tactics of acute obstructive bronchitis in children with atypical microflora. The monograph is intended for pediatricians, general practitioners, masters, clinical residents and students of medical institutes.

This paper shows the economic scenario of Ecuador with the European Union in the period 2012-2016. For which we proceeded to analyze the evolution of trade activities that were maintained with the region under the Generalized System of Preferences that was in force until December 31, 2016 and with the entry into force of the Multiparty Trade Agreement on January 1, 2017. The results obtained show that at a general level the non-oil trade balance with the European Union is favorable, being beneficial for Ecuador, the main products exported to the European bloc in 2017 were: bananas, shrimp, canned fish, natural flowers, among others; exports to the bloc represent 30% of the country's non-oil exports.

In 2009, sources of the mineral alloy commonly known as coltan were found in Colombia, a strategic resource given its high global demand for the manufacture of electronic devices. For this reason, and taking into account the current post-conflict context, it is considered relevant to investigate and learn about its extraction and commercialisation processes, which to date have been consolidated around illegal groups. This is based on a case study of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Venezuela, with a comparative analysis that shows how these practices have an impact on the social, economic, environmental and political dynamics of these countries.

Over time, micro-organisms such as bacteria and fungi have acquired the ability to constantly evolve, due to the constant bombardment of adverse effects from biotic or abiotic factors. Many of these micro-organisms have changed their biology and/or selection of nutrients for their diet. This response has meant that techniques aimed at studying their development and nature have also had to be modified or changed. Such is the case with the use of culture media, which have greatly aided the processes of analysis and identification of infectious agents within the area of microbiology. Currently, new substrates or carbon sources necessary for the optimal development of specimens to be evaluated have emerged. In this document, the name and methodology of different types of culture media commonly used in laboratories are presented, as well as others that work more specifically in the expression of certain microorganisms such as bacteria or fungi. It is hoped that their use will be of great support in the different techniques used.

This book analyses the role of physical exercise and its relationship with mental health, with emphasis on the treatment of symptoms of depression common in diagnoses of schizophrenia and affective mood disorders. The aetiology, epidemiology and the main theories explaining the psychological benefits of physical exercise are addressed, seeking to identify evidence of the antidepressant nature of physical exercise in psychiatric treatments.

Today, a large number of companies are becoming aware of the wealth contained in their data, and are questioning the value of implementing techniques. Companies have access to ever more data. The sheer quantity of information available can make it very difficult to apprehend huge volumes of structured and unstructured data in order to implement company-wide improvement projects.This book focuses on 2 Datamining techniques (supervised and unsupervised) such as: decision trees, regression, neural networks and support vector machines (SVM)...we focus on the environment of use of each technique, the advantages,disadvantages and consequences of choosing one of these technical elements to extract hidden predictive information from large databases and how to implement each technique.Finally, the paper presented some valuable recommendations in the Dataminig field.

We aimed to identify the QTLs controlling morphological, physiological and yield traits in recombinant lines derived from a cross between two pure lines: EP42 (European Flint) and A637 (Corn Belt Dent) under water stress. 11 QTLs were identified, including 5 QTLs under normal conditions and 6 QTLs under water stress. A single QTL was detected for leaf area and number of rows, representing around 6% of the phenotypic variation on chromosome 8 and 4 respectively. One QTL was identified for yield which explained 5% of the phenotypic variation on chromosome 8, two QTLs for ear length which explained around 10% of the phenotypic variation. While under water stress conditions, two QTLs were found for plant height and ear length which interpreted around 17% of the phenotypic variation on chromosomes: 1, 2, 3, 10. A single QTL was detected for leaf curl and male flowering on chromosomes: 4, 8 and explained 7% and 12% of the phenotypic variation respectively.

The book consists of a presentation of the subject reported here, from the creative process to the finalisation of the audiovisual material, which is intended to be a documentary. The work deals with the stories of people who lived in the Serra Dourada region and who were present at the beginning of the colonisation process in Goiás. With this in mind, the film provides perspectives on local history through the stories of the residents of Mossâmedes and the city of Goiás. The aim is to revive the memory of the place and also to pass on to the public a message of environmental preservation of the Serra Dourada, considered an important place for the Brazilian cerrado. However, the aim of the book is for the public to appreciate and admire the history and culture of Goiás.

The Russian Revolution is a historical event from which not only 85 years separate us, but also numerous defeats of the Working Class, of the oppressed, a growing distrust in the capacity of the workers to transform the world, and even more, a strong crisis of class identity that provokes a widespread phenomenon of estrangement and alienation with the greatest revolutionary experience of the 20th century. We are not oblivious to this reality, but we live it rather as a contradictory tension insofar as we feel and understand the need to recover that experience for our class. This need is reinforced in the notorious inability to approach it in a scientific and comprehensive way (without abandoning a class point of view) on the part of the few analyses that are made today, which fall back on apologetic balances in some cases, or unilateral rejection in others, a rejection which concludes that every revolution, in the last instance, will end up bureaucratizing itself and rehabilitating a new domination.

Drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles, are transforming the way war is waged, becoming a fundamental weapon in contemporary armed conflicts. They have been used by US armed forces and intelligence services, not only in reconnaissance operations but also in controversial attacks against civilians in the US-led fight against terrorism, mainly in the Middle East and Asia. This paper seeks to highlight the relevance and topicality of the debate surrounding the use of armed drones for targeted strikes as a means of combating terrorism, considering that the parameters for assessing and determining the legality of this type of action differ depending on the legal regime applicable to each specific case.

In view of the progressive ageing of the Tunisian population, dementia will be a major health, social and economic issue facing our country in the years ahead. The general practitioner is the patient's first medical recourse and plays a fundamental role in initiating the diagnostic process for dementia. We conducted a study to assess the knowledge and practices of general practitioners in identifying cognitive disorders in the elderly, and to determine the obstacles to early diagnosis of dementia. Our study shows that there is a lack of early detection of cognitive disorders in the elderly. When faced with a memory complaint, 20% of doctors said they identified cognitive disorders, and 36.4% said they referred the patient to a specialist straight away. More than half of doctors (54.4%) had never carried out a cognitive assessment. Developing simpler cognitive tests, and updating and improving training for 1st-line doctors would improve early diagnosis of these pathologies.

The topic of "brand equity" is on the minds of many researchers and practitioners. Within the academic sphere, however, there seems to be no consensus on the definition and content of this concept. The main aim of this book is to review the state of the art on the subject. It is divided into three sections, the first of which is devoted to conceptualization. The second section aims to shed light on its constituent elements. Finally, the third part explains how the brand brings value to its customers, distributors and the company itself.

The present research aims to understand the process of processing petitions for the confirmation of Indian encomiendas in the Royal and Supreme Council of the Indies between 1630 and 1655. For this purpose, we conducted a case study of five files that are currently in the General Archive of the Indies and that come from the Royal Court of the Kingdom of Chile. Based on this objective, we got to know the people and institutions that intervened in the process of granting an encomienda, we followed up on the regulations that governed the system and we analyzed from the point of view of Diplomacy the constituent documents of the files that were necessary for the grant to be subsequently confirmed in the Council of the Indies. Likewise, we complete the work with the edition and transcription of those files, with the purpose of making known and giving value to those historical sources.

Antiretroviral therapy (ART) is associated with long- and short-term adverse reactions (ARs). The objectives of this book are to describe patient demographics, types of AR according to treatment regimen, organ and system affected, severity, causality category, reporting health professional, reporting health facility, and timing of reporting of suspected ARR to antiretroviral (ARV) drugs to the National Centre for Pharmacovigilance (CNFV). A retrospective review was conducted of the ARV ARV suspicion notification forms reported to the CNFV from January 2007 to December 2010. We included 1972 notifications in which 2502 ARVs were identified, 1160 (58.82%) were male, ranging in age from 1 to 96 years (median age 37 years). Antiretroviral treatment (ART) regimens classified as suspicious were 29, the most reported being AZT+3TC+NVP, with 839(42.55%) notifications.

This book is a collection of three articles, published in scientific media, aimed at dealing with aspects (indebtedness, dividends and independent audit fees) for companies operating in the Brazilian Basic Materials sector. Although the research is not aimed at exhausting the issues, the papers presented below aim to provide more evidence on the themes. Each of the three chapters was dedicated to presenting an article that focused on one of these aspects.

Sustainability has gained a lot of prominence over the years, as it is related to the development of activities and processes, using natural resources rationally, minimising damage to the environment and the population, with the aim of guaranteeing the maintenance of natural resources for generations to come. In view of the aforementioned importance, universities around the world have started to work more incisively with sustainability indicators and the results they generate.

Indoor Environmental Quality (IAQ) is a term used to define holistic studies of environmental variables in closed environments. These studies allow for a more accurate and complete assessment of existing conditions. This topic has become relevant in teaching environments because it has been shown to be associated with student performance. As a result, this study aims to understand how Indoor Environmental Quality (IAQ) has been analysed over the years in educational environments. IAQ was restricted to understanding the main environmental areas: thermal, acoustic, lighting and air quality. A systematic literature review was used to achieve the objective. The final sample indicated that the subject is constantly being updated, with a large number of studies in Europe and Asia. However, there is a lack of studies associating environmental areas with student performance. Furthermore, a gap was identified when it comes to the joint influence of environmental areas on student performance.

Adequate care in childhood has multiple positive effects on the psychological and emotional development of the subject, therefore caregivers function as agents of protection that provide love and security to children; on the contrary, inadequate or insufficient care is related to the possible evolution of psychopathologies in the short, medium and long term. The figure of the teacher is recognised as a protective or risky one for the child's development, as they can promote the establishment of new and better links with the child or have an impact on the detonation of problems presented by the children.

Colorectal adenocarcinoma is a common cancer, and its postoperative morbidity remains high. Several predictive factors have been evaluated, but there is no consensus on the role each plays, due to their interdependence. Consequently, a better understanding of these factors is needed to adapt perioperative management. The aim of this study is to investigate early postoperative morbidity in colon cancer surgery and to identify its predictive factors.

E-Government emerged with the aim of providing greater integration between government, citizens and organisations through the dissemination of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), particularly the Internet. As a result, the online portals of different public institutions emerged to meet the needs of communication between the Public Administration and society and to provide adequate and timely information to users of public services. In this book, the usability of the online e-Government service is evaluated in order to build an index that will allow it to be improved.

The State confers jurisdiction on certain courts to deal with offences which, because of their specific nature, deserve special treatment: these are courts with special jurisdiction. These courts have jurisdiction over offences committed by a particular category of people, or offences that are specific in nature. This is the case, for example, in criminal matters concerning military and similar offences, offences committed by minors, and offences involving the misappropriation of public property of a certain value. Thus, the State responds to the commission of such offences by means of a criminal trial. However, the prosecution of the accused must be carried out within a reasonable time, which is the average time after which the person being prosecuted can be brought before a criminal court. The European notion of reasonable time is an essential component of the fair trial enshrined in the international conventions ratified by Cameroon. This. Does the concept of reasonable time apply to criminal proceedings before special courts? The degree of integration varies according to the two main phases of the criminal trial.

A study on the contribution of Geographic Information Systems to the cotton industry was carried out in the Logone Occidental province. The choice of this subject was motivated by the analysis and representation of data from cotton industry activities and crop monitoring. This analysis and representation was carried out manually, and the method for identifying the area suitable for cotton growing is very old. This does not facilitate decision-making by the players in this field. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the importance of using GIS and remote sensing tools to reorganize the cotton sector in the province of Logone Occidentale. The methodology used revolves around three axes: literature review, data collection from ANADER and CotonTchad SN companies, and the complete methodology of work implementation. He and BOISSIN's production theory and HARDIN-FANNING and RICK's theory of change were used as models to make this study intelligible.

The present investigation was carried out by means of a descriptive study in 10 of my students of seventh year of General Basic Education in the Fiscal School Dr. José Miguel García Moreno, which is located in Sauces 5, parish Tarqui, province of Guayas, canton Guayaquil, country Ecuador. The aforementioned educational institution has been functioning for 30 years for the benefit of children, and has felt the need to improve and achieve profound changes in both pedagogical and psychological (emotional) aspects in the children who are educated there in order to maintain the great ideals for which it was created and to guarantee a quality and warm education, with technical and scientific innovations in accordance with the changes demanded by the times in which we live. We prioritise the problem of family relations and school performance, as these are tools whose value has an impact on all the dimensions of people's lives. For this reason, not attending to their formation undoubtedly truncates the possibility of a comprehensive development of the students.

We present the results of a doctoral research project of a historical-bibliographical nature, which used a qualitative research methodology with an interpretative approach based on the Semiotics of Ottean Complementarity Thought - PsCO, to shed light on the evolution of the meaning of the term Axiom from Plato to Modernity. Studying the evolution in the meaning of the term Axiom made it possible to clarify issues related to a change in the character of the foundations of Mathematical Knowledge and which involves the relationship between Language and Mathematics. Analysing this relationship, we sought to investigate what a possible change in the understanding of the term axiom meant which, according to Otte (2011), from Antiquity to Modernity, was taken as an antonym for hypothesis, assumed essentially as truths and, from Modernity onwards, it came to be understood as a synonym for hypothesis. The highlight of our study was that redirections in the relationship between Language and Mathematics, operationalised by approximations and distancing between philosophical thought and Mathematical thought, significantly influenced the promotion of change in the meaning of the term Axiom.

This book addresses recommendations for writing research projects, including particular and fundamental aspects that allow the development of a feasible and viable protocol, as well as to facilitate their writing in order to be presented for technical and methodological evaluation before bodies made up of trained personnel, such as scientific committees. The importance of the allocation of financial resources for research and the training of responsible researchers to promote and encourage the co-participation of governments, public and private institutions, and thus promote research in the area of health, is highlighted. The importance of creating research partnerships between public and private institutions is also highlighted. In turn, a series of recommendations are provided to facilitate publication in different formats.

Education, being considered an essential pillar of economic and social development, must be of high quality, i.e. what is learned must be useful for social needs, but also accessible to all. Equally important is an education system that takes into account that education is the fundamental basis for human rights, democracy, sustainable development and peace. It must therefore be accessible, affordable, adaptable and acceptable to all, throughout our lives, as it is undoubtedly a basic pillar of human, economic and social development, while contributing to closing the gap of inequality and exclusion. When this happens, together we build a more prosperous and equitable country, with greater possibilities of building a stable and lasting peace.

Through the experience of the research seedlings, an excellent formation of young researchers in Higher Education Institutions is achieved. The book contains six chapters relevant to the research training of research seedlings and young researchers. It also highlights chapter 5 with the successful experiences of these research actors accompanied by the leaders, research directors and co-researchers of the research groups categorized and recognized in the Department of Science and Technology in Colombia - Colciencias and Higher Education Institutions.

In this book, we highlight the diversity, taxonomy and threats to medicinal and aromatic plants in forest and pre-forest environments, in order to clear up the ambiguity surrounding certain species, particularly in terms of taxonomy. We have based our work on the 215 phytoecological surveys carried out throughout the forest massifs of the Saïda region, as well as on other observations. We present this inventory in the form of an updated ¿oristic catalog with nomenclatural, chorological and vernacular names. We counted 92 species of spontaneous plants with aromatic and medicinal purposes belonging to 30 families. The results show that these plants belonged to 73 genera and 30 families. Lamiaceae dominate the list with 11 species (13%), followed by Asteraceae, 10 species (12%), and Apiaceae. 02 are regional endemics, and 4 have protected species status.
