The aim of this book is to demonstrate the importance and results of introducing innovative practices in organisations, especially with regard to the impact of their implementation in public institutions. The book aims to help broaden the field of study on the subject of innovation and to analyse the main obstacles facing its development and implementation, as well as strategies for disseminating and strengthening a culture of innovation.

A work on interdisciplinarity focuses on a framework that encompasses a wide range of thoughts and theories that are not similar, but that seek to have a closer relationship in the contexts and aspects that provide efficiency within these nominally diverse themes. Africa is a continent that currently contains around 54 independent countries whose cultures, traditions and ways of life are not the same. Guinea-Bissau is one of the countries on this continent, located on the west coast. It is a Portuguese ex-colony that became independent unilaterally in 1973. In this context, this work aims to understand the impact of epistemologies in Africa, specifically in dialogue with Guinea-Bissau, on the different components that have marked and still mark societies in their relations around power. The work derives from an epistemological dialogue in the wake of the human sciences, using History, Sociology, Anthropology and International Relations as instruments for bibliographical and documentary analysis.

Since the 1970s, educational science and the concept of education as an academic discipline have been subject to the complexity and differentiation of social and cultural conditions. The sub-disciplines that have emerged have given rise to subject areas and fields of practice that lead to specialization. It goes without saying that with this wealth of research, personal priorities are set in studies and teaching. The aim is to be up-to-date and scientifically sound. Reference should be made to the author's career. It is in this context that the focus areas and interdisciplinary aspects or subject areas should be seen.

It is a work that presents knowledge in 230 short articles on different topics, addressed in real time during the Covid-19 pandemic. Some of these articles have been questioned over time, but most of them are still valid and will serve as a tool to address this pandemic-syndemic and the next health crises.This enriching experience has been of great benefit, since it provides society with important reference material, with information on what should and should not be done in similar situations, with identification of data that may or may not be relevant for taking actions, with decisions that at the time seemed to be the best option but that time has disproved them, with indispensable activities and others not so much, with decisions taken and pending, with what was attended and what was left unattended, among many other situations.

This book aims to analyze and describe the changes and continuities undergone by a social policy during the Cambiemos administration (2015-2019). In particular, the analysis of the design of Hacemos Futuro proposed in this research helps to fill part of a knowledge gap that exists around a more detailed analysis of the design of this public policy (without focusing too much on its implementation like other works), and also seeks to address a topic that has been less worked on in other research: the issue of clientelism and how the design of Hacemos Futuro tries, on the one hand, to sort out the irregularities of thousands of cooperatives that operated with anomalies under Argentina Trabaja and, on the other hand, seeks to generate disintermediation between social movements and the beneficiaries of the programs in order to break possible and budgeted clientelistic networks that occur in these within the framework of social policies. In addition, this book explores in greater depth the training programs and how they are offered throughout the national territory.

The study or working paper on "Teaching and learning with technologies" is based on the importance of different applications, perspectives and technologies. The application requires an examination of the subject area and an interdisciplinary approach.Online courses/ TU Graz and CONEDU and an introduction to networking are helpful. The initial focus is on basic concepts, a technical overview, distance learning, didactics, media pedagogy, media-based learning, performance assessment and, in terms of further training, learning and teaching in adult education. The considerations are based on many years of networking and are intended as an introduction to a wide range of topics.

This is the analysis of the linguistic aspect of the novel's discourse which happens to be a political discourse. We analyzed both the symbolic and semantic aspect of the speech but also the poetics of its elaboration. This discourse is composed of four dimensions: historical, social, psychological, and political. It is constituted with two junctions with two stories. We used three theories in total in this analysis: inferential discourse pragmatics, Marxism, and psychoanalysis.

This work is concerned with a critical analysis of legal phenomena such as legal formalism, decent work as utopianism, the causes that generate social conflict, the resurgence of collective labour law and the ideal future of Colombian trade unionism. The study of legal formalism is approached from its different doctrinal approaches, taking as a reference of arbitrariness "the Greek tragedy" in which Oedipus gives no importance to the laws and replaces them with his orders, imposing his will by responding to the people "it matters little whether the law is just or not, you must still obey"; this act is the characteristic of a tyrannical government. Foucault confirms this in his work on "Truth and juridical forms" when he argues that on many occasions juridical forms do not allow us to visualise the truth of the facts. The question then arises, does legal formalism violate certain rights? A critical analysis of the specific legal form of certain rights is proposed, which in labour matters some are qualified as uncertain by the very fact that they depend on a proof managed by means of doubt.

Political education and intercultural competence of an educational science examine changes in life situations, power structures, social justice and respect for human rights. The Middle East conflict in Palestine is a national conflict between the Arab and Jewish populations. The UN partition resolution of November 29, 1947 set this conflict in motion, although there was no strategy to implement the partition peacefully. This raises questions about political roles, responsibilities, challenges and opportunities. Political education aims to create a basic understanding of the special nature of the region. The study aims to provide an insight into the conditions, background and conflicts.

It deals with the passage and perception of lived time, measured by various mechanisms created to mark time to meet the needs of humanity. Temporality, that is, the weight of past time that can lead the individual to anguish, so that they can find a path that frees the being repressed by the individual's social creation. The Umbanda sacred, as a way of liberating the individual from the mundanity of the world, is the driving force behind faith in the Orixás and Spiritual Entities and is the bridge that makes the axé the element that strengthens the being, bringing it a conception of life for life, resulting in not living for death or anticipating it as the individual does. Is time in the axé different from time in the world? Umbanda: Time and Temporality tries to clarify this question.

The scientific literature states that health programmes aimed at the elderly are rare and the few epidemiological studies carried out show a worrying situation, such as: high rates of periodontal disease, oral mucosa lesions and the need for prostheses. This book makes a careful analysis of journals and allows research to be directed towards 6 thematic lines that will contextualise and define how care for the elderly should be provided in the dental office: 1- History of the increase in the elderly population; 2- Context of oral health for geriatric patients; 3- Expansion of dental-geriatric services; 4- Importance of dental care for the elderly; 5- Knowledge of the relationship between systemic and oral alterations; 6- Need for a protocol for caring for these patients. Dental surgeons should provide care to the elderly according to a protocol, so that there can be a correct relationship with professionals from other areas, promote disease prevention, carry out correct management and diagnosis of oral alterations, and thus attribute a better quality of life to this growing segment of the population.

The aim of the present study is to characterize the agronomic and baking properties of soft wheat germplasm under irrigation, in order to help improve and increase soft wheat production in Mali. Field and laboratory experiments were carried out respectively in plots at the Kogoni Agronomic Research Sub-Station and at the Grands Moulins du Mali Bakery Quality Analysis Laboratory in Koulikoro, with the aim of proposing two or three best soft wheat varieties to growers and industrialists. The experimental set-up in the field was a Fisher block with three repetitions for agronomic characterization. For bakery characterization, the CHOPIN alveograph was used to determine dough characteristics. The Infraneo was used to analyze parameters such as moisture, protein content, ash content, gluten, damaged starch and Zeleny, while the Perten test was used to determine enzyme activity. The germplasm used consisted of 8 soft wheat varieties.

The aim of this book is to promote the plant species Mentha piperata L. and its essential oil for their various molecules of interest. The book focuses on three areas. The first is a bibliographical review of the many interests and the chemical composition of Mentha piperata essential oil. The second involved determining the chemical composition of Mentha piperata oil. Analysis by gas chromatography (GC) and coupled gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) showed that menthol (41.81%), menthyl acetate (36.92%) and menthone (5.12%) are the main constituents of this extract. The third axis concerns the selective transformation of menthone in the essential oil of Mentha piperata into hydrazone whose wavelength at the absorption maximum by UV-visible spectrophotometric analysis is 356 nm.

Agriculture probably emerged between 10 and 15 thousand years ago, when people still lived in small nomadic groups and survived by hunting and gathering fruit and grain (MATOS, 2012). Recently, about 50 years ago, large-scale food production began for the world's growing population. Society's concern about the impact of agriculture on the environment and the contamination of the food chain with pesticides has changed the agricultural landscape, demanding new technologies, including sustainable agriculture, which is based on four fundamental foundations: sustainability (ability to maintain the system in existence for a long period of time when subjected to stress), stability (consistent achievement of yield in the short or long term), productivity (production capacity per area) and equity (relative distribution of wealth in society) (BORGES et al., 2016).

The state of Pará is one of the largest producers of mineral substances in the country; consequently, a lot of waste is generated from mineral activity which, due to its physical, chemical and mineralogical characteristics, could be successfully used as a raw material for the manufacture of construction materials. Of particular note are the kaolin "coating" processing industries and the alumina production industry. Kaolin processing companies have already generated around 5 million tons of waste consisting of extremely fine kaolinite (RBC), a promising raw material for the manufacture of highly reactive metakaolinite. The alumina production industry is responsible for generating red mud (RL), waste from the Bayer process, made up of iron and aluminum oxides and hydroxides, of which around 9 million tons have already been released into the environment. Its main drawback is the large amount of soluble sodium. The aim of this work was to provide a final destination for these two wastes, as opposed to simply disposing of them. The technical feasibility of producing a new type of building material was assessed: pozzolanic pigment, from a mixture of calcine and sodium.

The subprime crisis demonstrated the fragility of conventional finance, forcing countries to find an alternative capable of withstanding a possible crisis. Côte d'Ivoire, like all other countries, is stepping up its efforts to develop this industry through the financing of major development projects. However, Ivorian economic agents are not particularly enthusiastic about it. To address this issue, we conducted a survey of commercial banks in Côte d'Ivoire. The aim of this study is to analyze commercial banks' perceptions of Islamic finance. A qualitative methodological approach was used to gather information from the branches of 16 commercial banks in Côte d'Ivoire. The results show that commercial bank professionals have little knowledge of the concept of Islamic finance. However, we encourage commercial banks and the government to become more involved and to pursue actions to develop Islamic finance with a view to increasing the rate of bancarization and combating poverty.

Teaching and learning at the university is in the context of reforms and didactic innovations. The quality development of teaching and studies results from the Bologna Process and the didactic design of study programs. Approaches to university didactics should be strengthened and university management should be further developed in the design of teaching.The frame of reference of a pedagogical university development with a professionalization of university teaching results from the learning environment, subject didactics with study programmes, study courses and competence development as well as cultural framework conditions. The study is a reflection of a personal learning and experience area and development process.

The advent of Artificial Intelligence (Chat GPT) has opened new horizons in the search for knowledge, enhanced by the great availability of data, as well as the great capacity of analysis and synthesis of this technology. All this will bring unsuspected consequences in future society, culture and economy.That is why I have taken on the task of publishing dialogues with this emerging technology, with the aim of glimpsing the benefits it will bring to an ordinary person, as well as to help us understand ourselves and our environment.

"We're not given a method for dealing with philosophical texts and essays. We don't know what it means to study or comment on a philosophical text, or even to write an essay", complain baccalaureate candidates and even university students. In fact, this philosophical methodology book is designed to help baccalaureate holders and students do a good job in this area, enabling them to better approach a (philosophical) text, an essay and/or a commentary on a philosophical text.In order to present a detailed plan of the work, we first discuss the explanation or study of a text. We will refer to the various possible explanations and lines of thought on the different questions often asked in the Haitian bac, with a view to providing baccalaureates with new techniques. We will then look at text models and suggest practical exercises. Then we'll move on to the philosophical essay, which for most candidates and students is a mystery or magic. Finally, we'll look at the philosophical text commentary.

Teaching is a possibility for altering the marks introduced into the prisoner's personality, leading to a possible overcoming of the disintegration of people lost in an unpredictable universe of worries, leading them down steep paths of human relationships if they are not intelligently contained in order to rescue the human condition (Rillaer, 2005). Whether in the pedagogical or psychological field, sufficient elements have already been defined for a pedagogical policy that, at the prison level, makes it possible to tackle inadequate injunctions to a level that results in a basic reorientation in social interaction. This is possible within the framework of a plan to combat crime, using knowledge and actions that allow for changes in behaviour and the inculcation of ethical standards, giving prisoners support and the conditions to visualise options away from crime that allow them to become re-educated.

Microcephaly is a medical finding characterised by a cephalic demarcation that is smaller than that announced for age and gender. They can occur at birth (congenital microcephaly) or after birth (secondary microcephaly). When in microcephaly the growth of the brain does not follow the growth of the rest of the newborn's body (somatic development) it is then known as disproportionate microcephaly and when the head circumference is less than -3 standard deviations for the gestational date and gender it is signalled as severe microcephaly. There are many causes of microcephaly, but intrauterine infections are the most common, such as syphilis, rubella, cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus and, more recently, the Zika virus. At the end of 2015, there was an unforeseen increase in the number of microcephaly cases in newborns in Brazil, the main conjecture being the abrupt spread of the Zika virus.

This book analyses the flows and interdictions concerning various gender interfaces, from unequal exchanges in agroecology, through asymmetrical powers in economic emancipation to forced migrations, tracing the socio-demographic profiles of those involved and pointing out the need and possibility of improving public processes and policies aimed at these subjects. The data presented and analysed are the tips of icebergs, showing rigour and multiple methodologies. This book has set itself the goal of a dense description, centred on theoretical, regulatory and empirical references but, for this very reason, on the need to portray monitoring variables through qualitative and quantitative assessments of information uncertainties, airing the debate that ends up being configured in iterative assessments of international agendas and specific policies.

The aim of this book was to study the effect of natural and artificial drying methods on the loss of dry matter in maize grains. The use of mathematical modelling techniques for dry matter loss was used to determine mathematical equations that describe dry matter loss and to adjust the mathematical model to the experimental values analysed. Based on the experimental data obtained during in-plant drying, it was also possible to adjust a regression model that estimates the loss of dry matter when drying maize in the field.

Dessa forma, a presente livro tem por objetivo verificar a influência do suporte organizacional sobre o capital social e as atitudes inovadoras dos trabalhadores que atuam em empresas públicas e privadas do Rio Grande do Norte.

This book is an anthology of writings published in different academic journals and memoirs. They represent twenty years of a recherche patiente on a fascinating subject, a line of research on the relationship between art and architecture over time. The articles are presented as chapters organized in two parts. In the first, the five chapters are of a theoretical and critical nature, referring to the reflection on the relationship between art and architecture. In the second part, the four chapters are of a documentary type, related to the author's works. The first of all corresponds to the formulation of the theory "Art+Architecture", arising from the author's doctoral thesis. The title "The place of art in architecture" is then a statement that aims to summarize the current state of understanding of the relationship between art and architecture. In it, the term "place" is understood according to four meanings: topological, ontological, ethical and aesthetic. And the term "in" adduces the "+" sign of the theory; art is added to architecture. This sum becomes integration and synthesis that are repeated countless times in history. Hence its validity and importance.

Talking about art nowadays refers to different perspectives, from those that emphasize concept and action to those that postulate the realization of an artistic object. The washi zokei is located in the latter, where material, technique and idea constitute an indivisible third that corresponds to the artist's intention of expression. The term washi zokei refers to three concepts, handmade paper, the procedure to make it and the expressive work resulting from this process; in this book the three aspects are highlighted: materials used in the elaboration of the paper, the perceptual process that accompanies it and the qualities of these factors that contribute to generate an aesthetic experience before the resulting expressive work. The washi zokei is a means of plastic expression that arises in the very conception of the work. The reflection on the physical particularities of the materials, the connotations attributed to them, the dialogue that the artist establishes with them through the precision or imprecision of their movements in the process of elaboration of the work, provide another way of understanding and feeling the internal language of a washi zokei, as an artistic proposal.

The study looks at the current scenario of the yerba mate production sector in the region of the Municipality of União da Vitória, State of Paraná, addressing the production and processing of yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis A.St. Hil). Yerba mate is currently a staple crop and the main non-timber product of forestry agribusiness in the region under study. Yerba mate production takes place in family farming establishments, on small rural properties, with mostly family labor. With a history of extraction, the cultivation of yerba mate in Brazil has little technological input compared to other crops, in all its production phases, from the cultivation of seedlings, through to the production and industrialization processes. There is a low level of technology adoption or low technification of the herbs. Many practices and technologies are not applied in the yerba mate production process, which severely limits productivity and product quality. Although technological and scientific advances already exist, they face difficulties in being multiplied and transferred to the yerba mate community and take time to be assimilated into the yerba mate exploitation process.

Web 2.0 has changed the paradigm of brand communication: through developments on the Internet and social networks, the consumer has taken on the level of Prosumer, capable of producing content about the brands they consume and disseminating Word-of-Mouth more easily and effectively. However, certain users - often referred to as Influencers - manage to gather large audiences made up of other individuals predisposed to consuming their content and who allow themselves to be influenced, either through their behaviour or even their intention to buy. With this in mind, the research aims to identify the impact that influencer communication has on the purchasing intentions of their followers, based on the deductive method through qualitative analysis of data collected during focus group interviews. Among the main conclusions reached with this work, it was found that the influence on purchase intention is noticed by followers at three levels: arousal of the need to buy, when the follower takes an interest in a product/service, triggering the purchase decision-making process.

The port of Manaus Moderna, built at the beginning of the 20th century, has a very precarious working dynamic for port workers. There is an intense port flow of vessels of various sizes that are responsible for a complex of commercial activities such as fairs and markets. Within this context, there has always been the figure of the baggage handler, who has historically fought for space in the ports of Manaus. They are therefore part of the city's memory, yet they remain forgotten and don't even appear in the statistics of Manaus' informal workers. In view of this, this study aimed to get to know the dockworker, correlate the port environment and its production process with environmental risk factors and associated problems, and draw up a booklet to prevent these risks. This was a descriptive quantitative cross-sectional study using a questionnaire, where the data collected served as the basis for the study and for educational measures to contribute to the work of these dockworkers.
