This book implements a two-degree-of-freedom solar tracker system and analyses its performance. On-off and proportional control strategies were implemented, with and without hysteresis intervals. The solar tracker system with two degrees of freedom met the positioning needs required by the characteristics of its function. The control system with the best behaviour was the On-Off system with hysteresis.

This paper talks about the effect of shading on photovoltaic modules due to the passage of nearby objects such as: antennas, trees, chimneys, buildings, etc. In addition to giving a brief analysis on the performance of the same by the effect of shadows because the solar cells allow the passage of current under lighting conditions. In this publication different measurements were made where the area of the cell remains with less illumination, in the same way, I-V curves are shown for different dimensions of shadow, showing the changes that are presented to give a better demonstration of the electrical characteristics of the cells. A small study of unit cells in series and parallel with partial shading is also added to give more detail to the variabilities that occur due to lack of illumination in the modules. Finally, it is important to emphasize that this work was done on an experimental basis to show true measurements that properly demonstrate the effect of shading on photovoltaic cells.

In the last few years, a very complex political and economic situation has been generated in Venezuela, due to the increases or volatility of prices of food products that can only reveal the appearance of a speculative bubble, which of course, is also identified in the increase of the costs of the rest of the goods and services of the national economy. The general objective of the research was to explain the Factors Generating Stockouts of Basic Consumption Products in the Border Zone of the State of Táchira. The methodology consisted of a field work, descriptive level, non-experimental design, focused on the quantitative paradigm. An intentional sample of 90 consumers was selected from three supermarkets very frequented in the locality reviewed, because these companies allegedly sell products with prices regulated by the national government. It is concluded that the development of each country depends on its ability to make decisions oriented in economic policy, which is required for Venezuela, an eminent economic growth that stimulates productive progress, which dignify the quality of life.

Dropping out of school is a problem that has become an increasingly worrisome reality over time. For this reason, the objective of the research was to identify the factors that influence school dropout among students of the Instituto de Estudios de Bachillerato del Estado de Oaxaca (IEBO) Plantel No. 40 "San Mateo del Mar" Tehuantepec, Oaxaca. The factors that most influence students' decision to drop out of high school are: Personal, Economic, Family and Educational, but the most influential in the IEBO of San Mateo del Mar, is the socioeconomic, where they mention that they would stop studying because they do not have the necessary economic resources. Faced with this problem, the authorities of the state of Oaxaca should pay attention and seek strategies to reduce school dropouts, since this municipality is considered within the national crusade against hunger as one of the municipalities of high and very high marginalization, so it is essential to reduce this situation and thus have a quality education to improve the living conditions of people.

The following case is about a 15 year old male patient, who comes to a second level hospital for presenting abdominal distension and pain of eight months of evolution. Laboratory and imaging tests were performed, including: upper abdominal ultrasound, Doppler ultrasound and computed angiotomography of the abdomen, which led to the diagnosis of Budd Chiari Syndrome and proceeded to investigate the probable etiology of the condition, reporting elevated titers of anticardiolipin antibodies and lupus anticoagulant.

Non-relational databases (NoSQL) have been increasingly adopted with the emergence of applications that generate unstructured (or semi-structured) information on a very large scale. The category of graph-oriented databases has attracted the interest of organisations, mainly because of the simplicity and performance of their model. There are tools that migrate data from a relational database to a graph-oriented one, but no tool has been found that migrates the model itself. Obtaining the graph-oriented model before migrating the data is important because it allows us to better analyse the migrated model, helping us decide whether or not to migrate and answering the question: is it possible to migrate a relational model to a graph-oriented one? This work contextualises the existence of graph-oriented databases, highlights their importance and presents a brief comparison of the relational model with the graph-oriented model. In addition, an application has been created with the aim of automatically generating a graph-orientated model from the data model of an existing relational database.

All activities linked to oil exploration are associated with high levels of risk and uncertainty. The decision-making process linked to oil E&P investments must mainly take into account uncertainties in reservoir geology, production engineering and market economics. Geological risk presents major uncertainties, including: the presence of source rock, reservoir rock, the presence of traps, the presence of sealing rocks and the occurrence of synchronism between generation, migration and accumulation. Despite advances in technology and exploration techniques over the last few decades, geological and financial risks persist and represent determining aspects of the decision-making process in the current context of the oil industry. This makes it necessary to develop specific studies with the aim of minimising potential risks and maximising the financial return on investments made in exploration activities. Currently, asthma is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases in the world and it is estimated that around 300 million people suffer from it. In recent years, its incidence has increased in children and adults in recent decades, on a par with that of allergic rhinitis and eczema. The impact on the number of years of life lost due to disability amounts to 15 million days per year, equivalent to 1% of the years of life lost due to disability worldwide. In 2004, the Global Initiative Against Asthma (GINA) reported a maximum worldwide mortality of 2 persons per 100,000 deaths between the ages of 5 and 34. In Mexico, the estimated mortality is 0.5 cases per 100,000 deaths from 5 to 34 years of age (general mortality), and 14.5 deaths per year per 100,000 cases of asthma. This places us in eighth place in mortality worldwide, where China has the first place with 36.7 deaths per 100,000 cases of asthma. ISAAC conducted a study based on a questionnaire to detect the prevalence of symptoms associated with asthma during 12 months and Mexico was ranked 46th out of 56 countries participating in the study.

This study examines ten women's experiences of sexual harassment in the workplace, highlighting the factors, consequences and individual experiences of this phenomenon. The aim of this study is to analyze the recurring patterns and motives of sexual harassment in different professional contexts. To achieve these objectives, the methodology was based on documentary research and individual interviews. The results reveal a profound insight into the effects of sexual harassment on the respondents' professional and personal lives. The study shows that sexual harassment takes many forms, from inappropriate comments to unwanted advances, and is often fuelled by power dynamics. Individual experiences vary, but all participants report negative psychological effects, including anxiety, emotional distress and loss of self-confidence. These consequences extend beyond the workplace, affecting mental health, relationships and professional performance.

My book presents the applications of X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) to the study of cobalamines, a family of organometallic molecules that play an essential role in the metabolism of all living things. I carried out several experiments on synthetic or biological samples, using different variants of XAS, such as XANES or EXAFS. The aim of this book is to present an epistemological construction that extends the principle of the dignity of the human person in order to recognise in the plurality and interculturality of the Latin American social sphere the attention due to the socio-environmental commitment to Life. Overcoming the colonial legacies of discourse, the decolonial turn presents instruments that value a hermeneutic method beyond the homogenous reductionism of Eurocentric sources, as well as providing a counter-narrative that breaks with movements of epistemological domination.

This study, based on data and observations gathered from commercial fishing in the Algiers region and from surveys carried out by the oceanographic vessel "Visconde de Eza" during the Algerian-Spanish cooperation campaign, provides information on the distribution, ecology, diet, reproduction, growth and exploitation of the white shrimp Parapenaeus longirostris (Lucas, 1846) on the trawlable bottoms of the Algerian coast.In Algeria, this species can be found in all sectors on muddy and sandy bottoms, at depths of between 200 and 600 meters. On average, 430 individuals are trawled per hour. Growth parameters (von Bertalanffy model) for each sex are determined by size structure analysis (Powell-Wetherall). Other parameters, notably total (Z), natural (M) and fishing (F) mortality coefficients, as well as selection sizes, obtained by statistical methods, were used to apply analytical models: relative yield per recruit model (Beverton and Holt, 1966) and virtual population analysis (VPA).

The main objective of this work was to study and propose cost management controls for the financial sector of Márcia Morelli EPP - a company that sells decorative items. The research used qualitative and quantitative methods. With regard to the type of research, diagnostic research was used with the proposition of plans, and three components were used to gather the data inherent in the research: an informal semi-structured interview, the analysis of existing documents at the case-unit and research into bibliographical sources.
