The book is an introduction to political science, which is the study of political phenomena. The book is not only intended for political science students and academics, but for all citizens. "Faire de la science politique" has three major objectives. Firstly, political science provides us with a scientific knowledge of the subject in the ordinary sense, based on an effort to objectify it. Secondly, political science gives us historical awareness. I call consciousness the fact of being preoccupied with the following questions: what am I doing in this world? What is the meaning of my life in this world? And what's going to happen? Finally, political science allows us to have some ideas about concrete political practice, the practice of actors, without being a practitioner; in other words, to make a political judgment or to be a judge of politics.

Mixed Ecological StudyMexico City (CDMX) during the last decades has been afflicted by high concentrations of environmental pollutants that affect air quality, being ozone the main problem due to the impact it has on the health of the population. It is known that green areas have a benefit on the quality of life and that they can counteract environmental pollution, however, there are very few investigations that interrelate three very important environmental factors; ozone concentrations, green areas and geographic characteristics of the study area. Therefore, this project aims to investigate the relationship between ozone concentrations, green areas in specific areas of the CDMX with respect to consultations of children under five years of age for respiratory diseases, in order to generate a proposal to conserve and increase urban green areas of the city, thus obtaining environmental benefits and above all, health benefits for the population involved.

Domestic violence in Colombia is a crime that has been progressive so much so that there was the need for the legislator to create a new criminal type known as FEMINICIDE, however and despite the existence in our legal system for years the regulation of protection measures, they were never effective and only through the judgment T/772/15 issued by our highest court in constitutional matters, It is thanks to this ruling and by virtue of the fact that it places in a position of guarantor all authorities who know of the crime and do not apply a protection measure in favor of the victim, they are applied as a priority, thus avoiding revictimization.

Our research is an analytical approach from the philosophy of how the patriarchal system in the past denied the condition of person to our childhood, so our goal is to analyze the process of denial, especially against the girl child, thus generating what we have related to the lost illusions, as it is a process that was determining the submissive woman, the woman-product, which ideologically is what the consumer society has produced and determined in the present, ie the condition of the human being as a product.

Pyeloureteral junction syndrome is the most common obstructive uropathy in children, accounting for 40% of malformative uropathies. It is a urodynamic disorder of evacuation of the upper excretory tract upstream of a functional or organic obstacle at the pyeloureteral junction. Clarifying the dynamics of renal functional change following ureteral obstruction as a result of this syndrome is paramount to correctly understanding renal function outcomes, accurately assessing renal function during obstruction and its recoverability, The diagnosis of pyeloureteral junction syndrome has been profoundly modified by the development of antenatal ultrasound and dynamic scintigraphy, enabling early diagnosis and subsequent management before the onset of clinical symptoms. This multidisciplinary approach will therefore influence the clinician's therapeutic decisions.

Currently at the school level the problem of migration is reflected in the students creating behavioral problems, quality of learning, vices such as drug addiction, alcoholism, bad friendships, etc. It is pointed out that migration is one of the most influential problems in terms of low student performance, since this is a globalized problem that occurs throughout the world destroying families. According to this theory we can see some students who do not have the necessary guidance because their parents leave them with certain relatives that instead of helping them, what they achieve is to make them take refuge in people who will only contribute to the bad development of their personality and apathy for education, leading to low performance and even the loss of the year. Once this happens, they become disinterested in studying and dedicate themselves to other activities that have nothing to do with education.

The main objective of this book is to present some resources for research on the Educational Leadership Competence of managers who are performing their functions in different educational institutions. The scale elaborated by the authors to stimulate scientific research is presented. At the same time, procedures are presented to assess the competence of individual managers and that of groups of them as a whole. Instruments elaborated to capture the necessary information are also introduced. The Excel workbooks for calculating sample size (CaTaMu) and for applying proportional stratified sampling (MuEstProp) are also introduced, based on the selection of representative samples. In addition, the Excel book EsComDE is presented as a technological resource that allows the processing of such large numbers of data generated, so as to facilitate the presentation in tables and graphs. The essence of its use lies in its potential for the formulation of valid conclusions and reasonable decision-making. Real examples of good practices in its application are also presented.

The monograph examines the issues of operating the economic mechanism in modern conditions on the example of two major countries - Russia and the United States. The theoretical framework of the study includes neo-Keynesian, neoclassical and endogenous growth models with a special emphasis on the so-called common, or world model. The author analyzes the role of both fundamental and complex factors of economic growth with different types of technological progress. Among the main types of physical capital are fixed capital, arable land and natural resources, namely oil and gas reserves. Human capital is made up of the education level of employed workers and R&D. Its basic component is the working person. International economic conditions include world market pricing, exchange rates, foreign loans and FDI. For the econometric analysis of the period 1950-2020, we chose a general growth model based on data from 131 countries and taking into account not only physical and human capital, but also time as an event space of creative economic activity.

This paper presents the difficulties of the formalization process of micro and small enterprises, addressing in context the problem of formalization and its counterpart, informality. This is followed by a theoretical development where the concepts and their implications for the economy are analyzed, and on these ideas show their importance for the economic development of the countries. A series of proposals will be made in order to improve formalization processes. A model will be proposed to help advisors, pro-entrepreneurship offices and key actors to understand how best to operate through a critical analysis of the measures promoted by governments to improve the process.

Preserving and restoring health has always been a central concern in the practice of leisure sports (physical and recreational activities). This is all the more important in the fight against so-called sedentary and physically inactive diseases, which are particularly prevalent among civil servants. In fact, civil servants have very sedentary and inactive lifestyles. This situation is conducive to the onset of numerous Non-Communicable Chronic Diseases (NCCDs), such as arthritis, diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular strokes. With this in mind, we formulated the hypothesis that several factors limit the practice of leisure sports by civil servants in the city of Ouagadougou, even though these free-time activities could help to contain the rise in NCDs among them. Thus, we sought to determine the conditions and level of practice of leisure sports within this target group, as well as the impact of this practice on the said chronic non-transmissible diseases. To achieve this, we conducted a study based on a questionnaire sent to one hundred and twenty-one (121) civil servants in the city of Ouagadougou. We also conducted interviews with technical managers in the sports, leisure and health sectors. The results show that the practice of leisure sports remains low among civil servants in Ouagadougou. These results confirm that the practice of leisure sports can be an effective means of combating MCNT.

AI also optimizes supply chain management and quality control by identifying defects more accurately. It thus contributes to efficiency, quality and profitability in the engineering field.

The book Models for Estimating Solar Radiation and Evapotranspiration discusses the importance of knowing some models for calculating solar radiation from air temperature and their influence on obtaining reference evapotranspiration. It is therefore an up-to-date book, with an important contribution from the author in the interpretations, discussions and opinions of the subjects covered, presented in a fluent and easy-to-read manner. However, the reader's familiarisation with meteorology/climatology and related knowledge will make the reading more fruitful. The publication has its place, filling the gap that still exists as a source of subjects that are still little explored today. It should therefore serve as a source of reference for post-graduate students, technicians, teachers and researchers.

Primary HIV infection refers to two entities, acute HIV infection that occurs in individuals before the development of antibody response, and early HIV infection in which individuals have already seroconverted, but are still at a very early stage of infection. Understanding the pathogenesis of acute and early HIV infection could identify new strategies that would alter the rate of disease progression and reduce secondary transmission. A problem of hidden magnitude is Syphilis and HIV, where the presence of syphilis in a person allows the risk of acquiring HIV to be 3 to 9 times as likely as a person who does not have it, and causes HIV behavior to change STI symptomatology. A problem in HIV, is that all infected people generate detectable antibodies from one to three months of infection; and sometimes longer periods, up to 6 months; and only certain cases end up generating antibodies after this time, when it takes the name of seroconversion in 364 sex workers, who were tested for HIV and VDRL in INH Machala from January to December 2008.

The objective of this research is to develop an action plan for the management of agro-climatic alerts for agricultural drought in the San Juan river basin, integrating it into the integrated management of river basins and coastal areas, linking the component of generation and analysis of meteorological information, climate monitoring agencies, stakeholders and the participation of the population. These actions allow the creation and implementation of an Early Warning System in the Basin for the danger of agricultural drought, making possible the environmental sustainability of the ecosystem. As a result, the solution to the problem related to the reduction of the insufficiency in the integration for the management of agro-climatic alerts for agricultural drought is made possible, using the dissemination of the alerts to the decision makers and population, favoring the updating of the measures to be taken into account once the different phases of the Disaster Reduction Plan of each actor involved are established. This research may be applicable to other basins of interest.

In this report, concrete blocks for masonry are manufactured and tested, partially replacing the cement required for their manufacture with three types of pozzolan existing in the Antofagasta Region: fly ash, volcanic ash and chuzca. The purpose of this research is to try to reduce the use of cement and therefore reduce the pollution generated by its manufacture, as well as to give practical use to polluting industrial waste (fly ash produced by coal combustion in thermoelectric companies), or to materials that have been deposited naturally (volcanic ash and chuzca). All of the above allows, in addition to the environmental benefit, a reduction in the costs of the construction of masonry blocks, widely used in the Northern Zone of our country. For the research, a type of standard block is produced with 100% of the required cement, taken as a reference, and three types of blocks with different percentages of replacement of the cement by the pozzolanic additions mentioned.

Colombia is a country brimming with natural resources that can be used for the generation of energy to help mitigate the impact of climate change worldwide. This work focuses on the use of the hydraulic resource for this purpose, seeking to provide electric energy by means of a Gorlov-type three-blade turbine to a rural household located on the banks of the Vaupés River in Mitú.

This book entitled International Educational Cooperation and Inequality. Case Study University of Cienfuegos, is structured in three fundamental moments. First, an investigation is carried out on the main aspects related to inequality, especially social and educational inequality. Subsequently, the internationalization of higher education and international educational cooperation is studied as a proposal for the solution of inequality in the world. Finally, an analysis of educational cooperation with respect to the rest of the world at the University of Cienfuegos is carried out, based on the tools provided by the study of the theoretical framework and the information provided by the International Relations Department of the University of Cienfuegos. The main objective pursued is to ensure that these experiences can become a starting point for self-analysis in the rest of the world's universities, especially those with the greatest potential to eradicate social and educational inequalities through education.

Nowadays, as the world reinvents itself, it is important to find the best way for our children to learn by providing them with material that works effectively. The use of technology helps us to provide students with a better disposition to the contents of each subject, since it makes it easier for them to receive information in a fast-paced format, optimized through videos, graphics and sounds. The objective of this book is to develop in the student competencies and strategies that allow him to continue learning in this world of constant evolution.

Traditionally, the teaching and learning of chemical nomenclature has been marked by a latent academicism in the treatment given to the names of substances and the rules for their expression and representation. This has led to a lack of interest in mastering this content, which is essential for understanding the language of chemistry. In this sense, this paper theorises the didactic treatment of chemical nomenclature and presents a methodology based on the relationship between this content and its application to life, contextualised in the domestic, popular, professional and work contexts. From the instrumental point of view, the methodology offers four didactic procedures, as a way to achieve the link between the cognitive and affective aspects of this content. Its application favours the articulation of academicism in the treatment of nomenclature with its social character, which is why it is particularly aimed at teachers and students who deal with the chemistry curriculum in their teacher training.

Improving the social climate of students is of vital importance, since it allows the creation of an enriching space, where coexistence plays an important role for the development of social skills of students and therefore the affective development of the same, which is why it is believed that the implementation of environments that promote respect, companionship, and organization among students is desirable. This development will depend to a great extent on the support and interest of the educational system towards the students, on how this system helps in the social and affective development, otherwise it affects the integral development of the students of the educational establishments.

Today the planet is facing anthropogenic consequences, due to the lack of knowledge, values, attitudes, behaviors and not seeing the future ahead. The lack of awareness of each inhabitant has led us to the excessive use of natural resources, pollution, changes in biochemical cycles, the greenhouse effect, the loss of the ozone layer and consequently Global Warming. This leads us to the question, what are we doing with our own home?

The cultivation of the pecan nut, in many countries is increasing every day, for its high economic value that reaches international markets the fruit called walnut, which is used as a very desirable food for the palates of humanity, the large number of by-products that are made from the nut, place it as a very desirable fruit in different types of presentations for the consumer, while the fruit has a great advantage for its conservation or shelf life, where it can be stored and preserved free of pest organisms, this makes the fruit acquires more value over the days, because we will always have fresh fruit, while the crop is very noble in its management, as shown in this work, requires an initial investment and then its maintenance is very economical, which makes the fruit grower get good harvests and great economic gains.

Nowadays, technological advances and technology acquisition processes make possible the instrumentation of designs and construction of micro-scale plants, capable of operating under identical conditions as industrial plants. These plants have data acquisition, supervision and control systems and can be automated for experimental production in the search for production optimization. The condition of being pilot plants allows them to be operated under wide ranges of temperature and pressure values in order to carry out experiments to determine the variables that influence the industrialization processes. For this reason, this publication presents an analysis of the technology acquisition process for the pilot plant of Agroindustrial Production at the regional center of higher education (Ceres - Codazzi).

Thanks to globalization and the technological network, marketing is one of the areas that has evolved with great openness allowing companies to reinvent themselves, identifying what organizations can do and how they can act to improve social reality seems to emerge as a vital strategy, beyond the actions they undertake. Many companies claim to act responsibly and maintain that their actions are based on various social causes inherent to the localities where they are located and, in addition, they claim that they use marketing related to social causes to direct their actions and thus reduce environmental impacts. Thus, social marketing is a complex process that involves the ability to convince the target public to become involved in changes that the marketing experts seek to promote in order to establish communication and distribution networks. The objective is that the changes generated help to solve social problems, this generates expectations to maintain the effects of the change or to stimulate continuous changes in the future, in order to eliminate the social problem in question.

In the Americas, sexual crimes against minors are increasing every year, which is why countries are on alert, seeking measures for the protection of children and adolescents. Initially, in 1990, Washington enacted the first law on the registration of sex offenders, and several States have joined in implementing this mechanism, in accordance with the legislature of each country in order to fight for the rights of minors. Colombia, also concerned about the high rate of crimes against minors, is implementing a Sex Offenders Registry, which seeks to protect minors, who according to crime rates are targeted by sex offenders.

The creation of the international agricultural regime after World War II presented inconsistencies and asymmetries between developed and developing countries. As a result, the United States and European countries had great dominance over other nations in international trade. This led to a series of reforms and conferences within the World Trade Organisation. For this reason, this research analyses, through the theory of complex interdependence and the concept of international regimes, the vulnerability and sensitivity of the Colombian agricultural sector to changes in the international agricultural regime. It observes the influence of the Generalised System of Preferences, the Free Trade Agreement and North-South cooperation with the European Union.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is classified as a third generation behavioural therapy. It aims to achieve psychological flexibility by verbally understanding problems and consciously analysing private events. The general aim of the book is to describe the interaction between the components of the intervention model proposed by ACT based on an analysis of the content of a cultural artefact. The specific objectives are to identify the main concepts of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); to describe the characteristics of third generation therapies, comparing them with first and second generation therapies; to describe the objectives of ACT; to describe the components of the ACT intervention model and to present the application of the ACT intervention model in a specific context. The design is qualitative and exploratory. The feature-length animated film Valente was used as a source.
