Pediatric hydatidology occupies a large part of the activities of a young pediatric surgery department in a region marked by its ancestral agropastoral vocation. This is clearly demonstrated by the hospital survey of 218 cases collected over a period of 8 years, the results of which are in line with those of other large series, notably the predominance of males and the predominance of pulmonary localization. The active screening survey, aimed at determining the prevalence of the disease, gave a rate of 7.4 p.1000, a figure which places Algeria among the most infested countries. Comparison of the two surveys revealed that thousands more asymptomatic children are affected by hydatid disease. This work fills the gap in epidemiological data in Algeria in general, and in the High Plateaux in particular. It also opens up the prospect of less costly therapeutic strategies, and above all the possibility of further epidemiological studies on a larger scale, in order to better establish a prevention policy capable of overcoming this disease, which is considered a major public health problem.

The reality of people living on the streets in Ecuador is worrying, which indicates the relevance of studying this phenomenon. In this regard, it has been identified that what prevails in the academic production in the country is research on various aspects of these populations, with little research on the conceptions and prejudices of professionals working with people living on the streets. For this reason, a qualitative empirical research was carried out, with a descriptive scope, with the aim of delving into the perspectives of community professionals involved in the daily work with these populations from the perspective of Socio-cognitive Psychology.

It is the compilation of a series of stories and urban chronicles that I have been collecting over the years at ground level. Whether from the shadows of the night, or in full sunlight, as I wander through the streets and places of Culiacán. It is a free exercise, stripped of any literary pretension, which only tries to portray the simplicity of everyday life, through the different characters found in the squares, streets, bars and neighbourhoods of my city. They are constructed on the basis of an image, a phrase or a key word, which encourages the imagination and at the same time is the trigger that makes it possible to authorise the construction of fiction about their own lives. They are also, after all, a very personal way of exorcising the nocturnal demons that keep me awake at night.

Transmedia storytelling uses all available channels to bring discrete parts of your story to the consumer for them to interrelate. This process places new demands on consumers and relies on the active participation of communities to make a story endless. This paper discusses concepts, perspectives and examples implicit in reading about success stories from transmedia storytelling, and how it could be implemented in a childcare brand campaign to disseminate information that is conducive to changing the way new parents care for an infant.

Talking about business in Africa also refers to the idea of mining, common markets, production, transformation, exchange and all economic and financial operations carried out on the market. This non-exhaustive list also includes mafia-style and inhumane operations in the form of legal economic transactions, yet these are short- and long-term crimes that transgress the laws of the market, costing human lives and even the territories of African states, and are the consequence of impunity due to ineffective national and international penal coercion in business cooperation.Domestically, crimes such as tax fraud, embezzlement of public funds, corruption, falsification, social abuse, financing of terrorism and money laundering have found a home here because of ineffective domestic penal sanctions, reflected in administrative justice and negotiation instead of penal constraint.

Knowing the profile and needs in terms of user demand makes it possible to develop strategies and actions aimed at improving health care services. The main objective of this study was to analyse the care profile of patients treated at the "Manoel de Sousa Santos" Regional Hospital in the municipality of Bom Jesus, in the state of Piauí, identifying whether the patient profile is appropriate for the centre or whether it falls within the scope of basic care. This is a quantitative study based on descriptive documentary analysis, in which the data was extracted from the hospital's database.

Tucumã has great potential that can be exploited in family production models, to generate employment and income, as well as many nutritious products that can be obtained from the pulp and oil. The aim of this book is to present the influence of temperature on the storage of tucumã and the physico-chemical characterisation of the fruit and the oils extracted from the pulp and the larva (Speciomerus Ruficornis Germar).

The book aims to identify the parenting style of children in families with domestic violence, determining the relationship between parenting styles and family structure. The study is quantitative and qualitative, the dependent variable is parental parenting style and the independent variable is family structure. Thirty families showing intrafamilial violence were selected, with children aged 5-10 years old, intervened through the application of the parenting questionnaire: "Estudio socio afectivo de hábitos y tendencias de comportamiento en familias" by Susana Torío, and a semi-structured interview to identify the family structure. The results showed that these families do not have a defined parenting style, although the authoritarian style is the most chosen, rigid rules, diffuse limits, among others, were identified, showing in the study that in most cases it is the father figure who has the hierarchy, the alliance is marked between mother and children.

The progressive increase in the incidence of cancer during the last decades has turned it into a health problem. In the oral cavity they manifest themselves as whitish lesions; within these, leukoplakia is one of the most frequent potentially malignant disorders. The study of these disorders could be supported by the use of morphometry. There were relationships between the morphometric variables, except for the circularity of the nucleus. Significant differences were shownsignificant differences between the mean values of the variables nucleus area/cytoplasm area ratio, in the cytoplasmic area variable; the rest of the variables did not show differences in their mean values.

The centesimal composition of a food is the proportion in which nutrients are present in 100 g of the product. By convention, the groups of substances that make up food are: moisture or volatiles at 105 ºC; ash or fixed mineral residue; lipids, fats or ether extract; crude protein or nitrogenous extract; carbohydrates, carbohydrates, sugars or saccharides and soluble and insoluble fibers, the chemical components of which can be determined analytically using various methods, which in turn must be the most appropriate in relation to the characteristics of the food to be analyzed and have official status, in order to establish and apply procedures that are guaranteed to be valid for the desired purposes.

Our working hypothesis is that, in reality, we doctors do not base the practices and concepts we handle as rationally as we presume, but on socio-cultural constructs that seem to follow what Canguilhem and Caponi said in their work: "let us make the Kantian statement more drastic: there is no science of health; health is not a scientific concept, it is a vulgar concept. Which does not mean trivial, but simply available to everyone". Fads in medical behaviour come and go: what today seems true and is used, tomorrow can be set aside without further explanation. The risks of these behaviours are there for all to see, but there seems to be no learning and a new fad succeeds the old one.

The mourning for the spaces loved, lost and inevitably longed for, as well as the persistent concern for a body necessary to inhabit these mutant worlds and times, often full of anxiety, are part of this particular exploration. Given the current situation, there is a slight increase in the presence of women mothers in prison, so it is of interest to study the influence that mothers in prison have on their relationship with their children.This study was carried out in Granada and 6 women mothers were interviewed, who were given a semi-structured interview to analyze issues related to motherhood in prison, and the effect that this maternal and filial reality produces in women, where the main objective of the research is to analyze the real situation of women who are mothers in relation to the bonds that are created with their children when they are away from them.These women interviewed are currently residents of the Matilde Cantos Fernández social insertion center, although some of them come from other penitentiary centers.

Using accounting and non-accounting data from municipalities in the state of Bahia, the authors try to prove the relationship between the amounts spent on certain categories of public spending and social indicators: the Municipal Human Development Index (MHDI) and the Basic Education Development Index (IDEB). Using multivariate regression analysis, the authors sought to identify the suggested relationships and, with the support of statistical tools, reached interesting conclusions on the subject.

The Colombian law in obedience to the State political model develops in its precepts duties of conduct that seek to guide and determine the behavior of associates based on imperatives and prescriptions that regulate the relations of the individual with himself and his environment. Bearing this in mind, several questions can be raised regarding the legal treatment given to the category of youth, starting with what discourses and social practices converge in the creation of discourses of truth regarding minors as subjects of law? What is the type of citizenship that can be predicted for minors? In the same sense, how do minors learn the diachrony between social reality and norm? Given the legal presumptions regarding the capacity of minors, could the study of the subjective development of the young offender be configured as a criterion of normative application, in order to make the legal structure more flexible in the face of the social realities it intends to regulate?

Psychoanalysis should be flexible in areas where the orthodox framework is inapplicable, this flexibility does not determine the breaking of the seeds of the practice, but an accommodation to the contexts, pathologies and current demands. The world presents us with different scenarios and varied challenges, human suffering builds so many barriers that breaking them requires scientific knowledge, but also empathic and emotional knowledge, one should not only apply positivist medical rigor to the psychic pain of a subject, the coexistence of both knowledge will probably give us more tools for when we are in front of another human being who suffers and seeks help to calm his discomfort, this is what the psychologist's work is about, the objectivity of the instrumental and the subjectivity of the transferential.

Intensive care units (ICUs) are places for the recovery and treatment of critically ill patients who require specialised care. Because they usually have multiple comorbidities and serious injuries, these patients tend to develop numerous hospital-acquired infections (HAIs), which have a significant impact on the morbidity and mortality of the affected individual, as well as on the care plan of the specialised professionals in these ICUs.

Self-employment comprises all activities carried out by economic agents outside the two basic social sectors of the socialist economy, i.e. the state and the cooperative sector. Self-employed persons are those who, whether or not they own the means and objects of work, are not subject to an employment contract with a legal person, do not receive a wage, process their production or provide their services individually or collectively, using, where appropriate, family help, and are directly responsible for marketing, or through another person or entity that legally represents them for this purpose.

The fact that there were few professionals qualified to work with deaf students caused me concern, as they required specific care, especially because of the difficulties they encountered in entering the world of reading and writing. This gave rise to my interest in studying Portuguese language teaching for the deaf.Living with deaf students, being a Portuguese language teacher in the municipal, state and federal schools, with deaf students included in hearing classrooms, and also in a bilingual school for the deaf, were the motivating aspects for me to start this research activity. The search for literature on teaching Portuguese to deaf people was also stimulating. I considered it important for this research to include texts that dealt with both literacy and later schooling, focusing on the difficulties pointed out by the literature in the field, especially the Brazilian literature. This initial research unfolded into a master's degree project.

Ficus section Pharmacosycea (Moraceae) are neotropical, terrestrial trees (rarely hemiepiphytes), distributed from northern Mexico to northern Argentina, characterized by a pair of glands in the axil of the basal secondary vein, bitter latex, monoecious, axillary, solitary inflorescences (rarely in pairs), with three epibracts and staminate flowers with two stamens. It is divided into three subsections: Carautaea, hemiepiphytic plants when young and petiole with non-decaying periderm; Petenenses, terrestrial and petiole with decaying periderm; and Bergianae terrestrial and petiole with non-decaying periderm. To review the taxa, all the protologues and types were analyzed, more than seven thousand materials from South American, North American and European herbaria were studied to compare morphological characters, and collections were made in the areas where natural populations occur. The work resulted in 35 species of Ficus sect. Pharmacosycea, all described and with materials examined. A taxonomic key was drawn up to determine the taxa.

Text dedicated to health professionals, patients and the general public, with the intention of raising awareness of the clinical aspects that characterise one of the most difficult oncological problems to detect early, pancreatic cancer, characterised by its high mortality, late diagnosis and few therapeutic options. This event is set to become a serious problem for modern oncology, due to its behaviour in recent decades, in relation to its high mortality rate. It contains essential basic elements for clinical presumptive diagnosis, by addressing signs and symptoms of early suspicion, which, if properly validated and managed by the health system, from early primary care, can have a positive impact on the early diagnosis of this overlapping condition. We do not intend to go into aspects such as classification and staging of the tumour, although we do make brief comments on novel aspects in relation to diagnosis, without losing the essence of the text, to enrich the threshold of suspicion as the only way to achieve diagnosis in the early stages. Herein lies the challenge.

Since ancient times, mistreatment, discrimination, global integration problems in South America, either with peers or with adults in the educational institution, frustrations generated by school failure, boredom caused by tasks that are experienced as unnecessary or useless, etc., intricate debates have been held about the epistemological and theoretical consequences of adopting one or another position on the problem of bullying. As for the social environment in which this problem occurs, there is: The bullying aggressor. Normally, the aggressor has a provocative behavior and permanent intimidation. He has an aggressive model in conflict resolution, has difficulty in putting himself in the other's place, lives a family relationship with little affection, and has very little empathy. According to criminal experts and psychologists, a child can be the author of bullying when he only expects and wants his will to be done, when he likes to feel the sensation of power, when he does not feel good or does not enjoy with others.

The intrinsic muscles can raise or lower the ribs and are activated during breathing, particularly forced breathing: it is believed that their primary action is to stiffen the chest wall, preventing paradoxical movement during inspiration. The diaphragm is a curved musculotendinous lamina attached to the circumference of the lower opening of the thorax and to the high lumbar vertebrae. The diaphragm forms the floor of the chest cavity and separates it from the abdominal cavity. From its highest point on each side, the diaphragm slopes downwards towards its costal and vertebral attachment points: this slope is more evident posteriorly, where the space between the diaphragm and the posterior wall of the thorax is very narrow. Cerebrovascular accident (CVA) is the acute onset of neurological dysfunction, resulting in signs and symptoms that correspond to the involvement of focal areas of the brain due to an abnormality in cerebral circulation. The aim of our study was therefore to check the lung capacity of stroke patients.

The Municipal Development Strategies (EDM) in Cuba constitute a working tool, as well as an essential instrument and integrating axis for the development of the territory. For this reason, it is necessary to place special emphasis on their monitoring, control and evaluation, since they are based on the strategic lines of development of each municipality. Consequently, the general objective of this research is to analyze the use of impact indicators in local development projects contained in the EDM. The main results of the research include a detailed analysis of the results of the implementation of the EDM in the municipality of Fomento for the year 2022, based on the study of the impact indicators of local projects, highlighting the practical-social usefulness of the research as a tool for government managers and the Municipal Directorates of Economy and Planning (MEP), contributing to the identification and correction of possible deviations in this process.

The Natural Sciences Study Group (GECN) is a group belonging to the SESI Emília Massanti school. The aim of this group is to stimulate the Jr scientific initiation (ICJr) of SESI-Emília Massanti students by developing their critical and analytical sense, thereby stimulating scientific production and the sustainable development of this unit through the promotion and development of sustainability-oriented projects.

The aim of our research was to develop students through experimental activities, by means of scientific enquiry, leading to the construction of higher-level thinking in the students. Based on a dialectical methodology, we observed the impact on the learning process, allowing the students to understand the behaviour of the physical phenomena present in electrical circuits in their daily lives. These pedagogical dimensions, as well as qualifying teaching, give students autonomy in their learning process, providing mechanisms for making connections between theory and practice, by objectifying the physical phenomena that exist in their reality.

Two situations arise which demonstrate that Truth is the most important Principle in the Integral System of Truth, Justice, Reparation and Non-Repetition: One, there is a contrast between the Agreement and its Legislative Act and its conceptual and practical developments. While the former establishes that none of the four components of the Integral System "shall take precedence over one another", the latter establishes the opposite in concept and practice. Two, that the principle of truth takes precedence over the other three principles of the system.

Renal transplantation is the therapeutic option that offers the best survival and quality of life in the face of renal failure. The waiting list for kidney transplantation is a worldwide problem due to the long time patients wait before undergoing surgery. During this period of time, the patient experiences different maladaptive responses that can be considered as causes or consequences of a given health condition, and that frequently generate negative responses such as anger/hostility, fear/anxiety, sadness/depression. Because events are unpredictable, because nowadays the demand for transplants is greater than the availability of donors. That is why the patient goes through situations of longing and disappointment, waiting for the resolution of the problem, which can take a long time. They do not know how long the wait will take, if they will get a compatible donor, or if they will survive on the waiting list. The coping strategies of each individual can facilitate or hinder individual adjustment and adaptation to stressful situations such as waiting for a kidney transplant.

The waste of food and its nutrients in households and agro-industries has a negative impact on the environment. At the same time, people are trying to consume nutritious food. This has given rise to a concern about utilising food in a sustainable way. The aim of this book is to produce cereal bars using the by-product of fruit juice. A 2² Factorial Design and Response Surface Methodology were used. The design had five different levels, with three centre points totalling seven trials. The independent variables were the concentration of pineapple and cashew juice by-products and cooking time. The responses analysed were water content, acidity, pH, ascorbic acid content, reducing sugars, ash and texture profile. Statistica 7.0 software was used to analyse the results of the design adopted. The results showed that the fruit by-product concentration factor had the greatest effect on the cooking process. In view of this, the importance of this work for food utilisation and healthy consumption is clear.

The doctor, in his eagerness to be a true professional, must dedicate body and soul to his daily studies, with absolute concentration, with total dedication, with passionate love, to be gentle, considerate, passionate about giving health to a person who does not need it. He has to look into the eyes of the patient, listen to his suffering, touch his whole body, examine every millimetre or millimetre that is necessary. To seek an accurate diagnosis on the basis of a sacrifice, which, however extreme it may be, must always be a pleasure and a realisation of joy in God. Everything must be remunerated, but the blessing of God and the bio-psycho-social well-being of the patient must be an infinite remuneration. The sick person should always be seen as a beloved, adorable relative, who needs your kindness, your dedication, your lucidity in every action. You must give him confidence and support. He must feel in you what you are his sacred doctor. Don't use your clothes to show off what you are, love your neighbour, be humble, simple. Treat the sick person with correct and understandable words. Show your sincere affection and concern for his healing, Don't look at his pocket, look at his illness and healing, look at his bio-psycho-social satisfaction. With love.
